Evergreen Tree Service

The workers were excellent. There were four men and they worked for about four hours. They removed lower branches on the two larger trees, but they also cleaned off dead wood clear to the top of each of the large trees. They were careful about the plants that surrounded the area where they were working. No damage was done to any of these other plants. I was very concerned that I might have to have the blue spruce removed, but they cleaned it up beautifully and I think it will survive. Everything looks so much better. These gentlemen obviously know their trees and are skilled at their work.

Went very well - nice job, no complaints went unanswered (minor issues that were quickly and completely addressed). Highly recommend.

The service was overall very good. They did really quality work. The only kind of downside was they thought it would take about four hours and it took seven. They quoted it and there were no additional charges. It was just a time estimation issue. They came out and did the service within a few days after I purchased the Big Deal. What stood out the most about my experience with them was that they just did a very thorough job. They cleaned up everything very well and they did not drop any limbs. I did not have any damage in any plants and the guys were really friendly.

I'm extremely impressed with the work - some of the limbs were at least 6-8" in diameter. They did a fantastic job by removing unhealthy limbs, bringing the tree well above the roof height, and kept the tree shaped nicely. Also, we retained our shade! The front of the house looks so much more attractive and the tree looks great. All debris was hauled out. The only thing I'd change is by me preparing the yard to protect shrubs below better, However the bruised plants are coming back well - no permanent impact.

I hope this isn't a duplicate review. I clicked through a link from an Angie's List e-mail requesting a review, but I don't see it in the queue. The other review that I did directly from Angie's List is queued, so I am doing this one the same way. We used a $199 for $400 of tree service deal. We requested quotes on removing, and/or trimming several trees, including the large maple in the front yard. Their prices seemed reasonable, but, in the end we decided simply to have the maple trimmed and to hold off on the other work. They set up an appointment to do the actual work and were there within 15 minutes of the start of the time range they had given us. They trimmed the tree and it really looks great... much better than it did before. They ran all of the limbs through their chipper/shredder and left me with a pile of wood chips, as I had requested. They even chipped a pile of branches that I had cut off of some of the trees in the back yard. Nice people. Good work.

I've used Evergreen twice. I'm very pleased with their efficiency and professionalism. I also think that their prices are quite reasonable.

The work exceeded our expectations! Chris came out and gave us our bid, He was on time, and explained things to me as we looked at what needed to be done. He even taught me how I could to do a couple of small things on my own! The price of the job was very reasonable. The amazing, professional, crew came on time, did an excellent job, and the clean up job was fantastic.

I called the office for a quote to remove a small tree which is like an overgrown bush and grind the stump. They had Chris call me back and he quoted me $450.00 without even seeing the tree. Now, I had already read many of the reviews where they charged much less for the exact same services. Of course I did not use them, but good grief why they wanted to charge me so much is very disappointing.

Great, liked the gentleman who came to do bid, spoke English, was prompt and had good sense of humour. The men who came to do tree cutting did it in no time (team of 3), courteous and cleaned up after themselves! Gentleman who came next day to stump grind did it quickly and cleaned up after himself. All in all great crew and business, will use again! And recommend them.

I selected Evergreen Tree Service from Angie's List for my elderly parents in Newberg. They had several trees they wanted checked by an arborist. They were so impressed with the entire staff. After the initial contact with Evergreen via phone and with the person who came out and gave the estimate, my parents cancelled an estimate appointment with another company. They were very pleased with the arborist and the pruning job done, especially happy with the thorough clean up afterwards. My parents said they were prompt, courteous, and honest. They would give Evergreen the highest possible rating and would definitely recommend them to anyone needing an arborist.

The appraiser was great and the prices seemed more reasonable than other quotes I had gotten. The pruning they did looks really good. I had an issue with a truck I had on my property that was blocking access to the area they needed to put the shredder. I was unable to move the truck so they rescheduled me. There was a charge for that, but it seemed reasonable since they had to get the crew and equipment back again. Once they returned they were fast, polite and professional. I would definitely use them again and feel good about recommending them.

Chris the certified arborist listened to our concerns and gave us feedback. The work was done on a timely basis. Jose and his crew did a great job. They were very methodical and responsive. They were thorough and did a good job of cleaning up afterwards.

We took advantage of one of Angie's big deals, paying $199 for $400 worth of service. Once purchased, they were prompt in setting up arrangements to see what needed to be done, and then just as promptly set up the appointment to do the work. They were prompt, efficient, cleaned up after themselves. Very happy with the job!

We received an initial estimate promptly, but after agreeing to the estimate, I ended up having to call and set up the date after not hearing from them for a few days. The crew was on time and went right to work. They did a great job and cleaned up very well after the tree topping.

Communication with the lead worker was difficult because of a language barrier. A project director arrived and things went better. Did not appreciate the cigarette butts left behind.

Very competitive price and expedited the job quickly. Missteps cost them a better AL ratings and future business from us, such as: - Not calling to let us know that they had to change their arrival time from 8am to 2pm. Wasted my time sitting around waiting until I contacted them to learn of the change. - The crew crashed a tree limb into the fence, dislodged a post and cracked a few boards. Then told me they fixed it "with a few nails". That section of fence is now leaning into our yard and will require more work to fix. - Scraped/marked up the corner and side of our house when dragging large branches out to the chipper.

Absolutely wonderful. Their employees were very delightful to work with. Price was very reasonable.

We had a tree fall on our house during a recent heavy wind. Evergreen came out and removed the tree from the house the same morning I called them. They completed the work very quickly with no extra damage to our house and left our yard looking very clean. We were so happy with their work that we had them come back out to remove two more trees. I would highly recommend using them for tree removal.

They did excellent work. They cleaned up after themselves and so forth.

After purchasing the deal on Angie's list, I contacted the company to set up a time to come. I left several messages and got no response. They must have been extremely busy. Once we did make contact, the guy came out and gave an estimate for all that I wanted to have done and scheduled a time to send the crew. The crew completed the job and cleaned up was superb.

This was an Angie?s special offered by Evergreen Tree Services. Chris Young came out and surveyed possible work ? we have lots of trees. He gave prices for each of ten possible jobs, explained things clearly, and was easy to deal with. Later we settled on three sizeable trees (two-plus foot trunks) plus an adjacent smaller one. We scheduled for a couple of weeks after the estimate. Juan and his crew have just finished the job. They were on time, efficient and remarkably capable. The trees they fell dropped exactly where they should, thanks to rigging them with lines before dropping them. My husband has some experience in this stuff, He was impressed by how they freed a tree caught up on an adjacent tree. Our agreement was that once down, we will cut up the trees and clean up branches. Evergreen was OK with that. We saved money and we will have firewood. Great work! We know who we will call in the future.

Everything went as planned. The evaluator come on time and listened to my requests making practical suggestions as we walked around my yard evaluating which trees needed to be trimmed. The workers came on the appointed day and time and reviewed which trees were to be trimmed, got right to work and did a great job cleaning up. They answered all my questions and were both friendly and professional.

We had to re-schedule them for a particular time, and they came earlier than scheduled when I wasn’t home. They are polite though, and did a good job with the work and clean-up.

On time, professional, very quick. Well worth the money
