Description of Work: A team of three men removed six spruce limbs that were hanging over my roof and two or three limbs that were hanging over my neighbor's roof. They hauled the limbs to the street and chipped them up. They cleaned the patio and area before they left. |I was very pleased with the work.

Description of Work: Purchased a big deal for the service. They removed 2 trees, ground out the stumps, and trimmed up a third. Overall, a good experience, but they did promise to leave larger parts of the two trees for firewood and did not, and when grinding one of the stumps they cut a sprinkler line that had been moved and marked.

Description of Work: Well for starters, they had the audacity to show up 15 minutes EARLY! I was expecting the proverbial "We'll be an hour or so late" call and there they were, the cutter had all his climbing and safety gear on and was IN THE TREE at the scheduled 8AM start time. Amazing. |I can't comment on professionalism since I don't have much experience with tree removal but what I did see - my wife has a bed of maybe 7 roses which have always been shaded by the tree, so nacherly, I was afraid they'd drop branches on the roses and outrage my wife. |But no, the cutter directed his ground crew to pull ropes attached to the limbs with perfect accuracy, so what was cut off landed on clear grass. He even missed taking out the light bar on my cop neighbor's police SUV which was also in the tree's shadow. |When I negotiated the removal, I'd told the estimator I'd want any wood large enough to stoke my wood - stove cut up and stacked and he said OK. But as the ground people were grinding limbs, I saw several branches which would have looked perfect on my woodpile. I told the crew I wanted that wood, but they said, "no, sorry, it'd take too long." But they went and talked to the cutter, (apparently the foreman) and he told them yes, that was part of the contract, cut those logs out and save em. |Towards the end, when they were sawing up the main trunk, I saw a lot of the logs were between 18 & 24 inches. I'd told the estimator I wanted that wood cut between 14 & 16 inches because my wood - stove door is only 16" and I didn't want to have to recut the wood. I told the foreman and he said "Oh," and proceeded to cut all the downed wood to length. |I'd told the estimator to salvage the chips, which I could use for mulch, and one of the ground crew said, "well there's more chips in the truck, from prior jobs, do you want them too?" I said yes and they dumped several yards(and yards and yards) of woodchips on the drive - took a week to get it spread and stowed. Careful what you ask for. |All and all I'd call Evergreen an excellent outfit to hire for tree trimming. I have several more trees in the yard which could use some work, and the estimator offered to take those trees on in this contract, but there's a cash - flow issue to take into consideration, so we just took out this one tree. However those remaining trees still need work, and when I can afford to have them trimmed, I'll certainly consider Evergreen.

Description of Work: Wanted front yard mowed, weeded & a patch rototilled . |My appt was 2-4:00. They arrived @12:00 & left @1:30. They weed whacked but didn't pull weeds , edged, borrowed our roto till, but didn't mow . I left written instructions plus my son was home in case they arrived before I got home (they were there and gone before scheduled time so of course I missed them completely ). The yard looks nice but not sure if I would go through them again. My son said they were both extremely polite and professional .

Description of Work: I called for an estimate. Chris showed up exactly on time. I received a terrific estimate and we are arranging for the week to be competed shortly after the holiday. He was pleasant and I am confident that he will do a good job. I'll update as soon as the work is completed. |

Description of Work: They removed dead branches from very old and tall fir trees. They also worked on two hedges. They did a real nice job and everything looked great. We had a problem that was quickly resolved. We would definitely use them again.

Description of Work: I would not purchase an Angie's List Big Deal for this company again. The estimate was $100s more than two other bids. When I shared this with the estimator, he did bring the price down, but it did not turn out to be a "Big Deal" for my pocket book. Because we had purchased the Big Deal, we went ahead with the work needed and the company did do good work.

Description of Work: First they scheduled us on a holiday, then changed their minds later and never notified us of the change of plans. At the time of agreement I verified they would be open on the holiday as I wanted to be available to help with questions. Second I called them and had to keep calling to get schedules sorted out after the fact. Lastly they showed up a hour earlier than planned causing confusion and unexpected noise during a conference call from home. Didn't think their prices we're that good with the Angie's list deal. Felt like they increased the price with Angie's list deal and I was paying normal rate even with the deal.

Description of Work: I did have to bring them back for one tree I felt was incmplete.Called |Eddie he came over and told me they would come back at no charge to me |and they did.Eddie is very good to work with.

Description of Work: I paid $199.for $400 worth of tree service through Angie's list and paid an additional $350 for a small diseased willow tree removal. The $199 covered limb removal and disposal for a large pine tree and for removing another limb from a cottonwood. The limb of the cottonwood was sitting on an electric wire. They were prompt and did a good job. I don't know if it was a good deal as I don't know what their hourly rate would be without the deal. There were approximately 3 men and they worked about 3 hours. The estimator did a good job letting me know the cost of the entire job |before the work was started.

Description of Work: They trimmed many tall trees of dead branches, toped a Hawthorne tree and topped laurel hedges.

Description of Work: Trimmed large street tree and disposed of the branches as we'd agreed. Slight miscommunication on time and place of job, but we worked it all out by phone.

Description of Work: Did an excellent job of trimming/cutting shrubs which hadn't been cut in 15 yrs. GREAT workers. Did twice the work of prior company in half the time!
