Evergreen Tree Service

The person who came out was very helpful about what should be done with the Cape Myrtles. He also pointed out that the Ash was beginning to separate at the base (it's a multi-trunk tree). This set of alarm bells with me because we had another Mountain Ash come down in a storm about a year ago. Therefore we had them take this one down. When the workers came I was a little concerned that they were working off a few notes on how to shape the Cape Myrtles. But after discussion with them, I felt better. They did a great job. They also completely removed the mountain Ash, leaving just the stump. All of this was done for an Angie's list deal of $199. I would not hesitate to use them again.

Chris Young came to inspect the job and give estimate. Also was very informative of what we could do to maintain health of our trees. Crew arrived in the time frame we were given, were very respectful in their dealings with us and were very professional in the performance of their job. They did exactly what we wanted and cleaned up so well that if you didn't know trees had been trimmed you wouldn't know they had been here. Would not hesitate to use this service again or recommend to others. Great Job.

I called and made an appointment and Evergreen came out as promised. Looked over the trees and broke down what they would do for each tree as well as a quote for each tree. We have 5 big trees in the back and two in the front. The quote was based on cleaning and raising the trees ($150-$200 per tree) so they keep privacy but are a little further from house/ground. The quote did provide a discount when I mentioned Angie's list. A few days later I schedule an appointment. I made it for a Thursday but somehow they came a day earlier and later than I was expecting (Expected Thursday between 8-9am and they came Wednesday around 10am). We were able to make it work but somehow this happened again with some other contractors so maybe it is a communication/confirmation issue. The day of the tree service three guys came out--two climbers and one guy on the ground. I think they spent somewhere around 4 hours doing the 7 trees. Some of the trees they climbed 2/3rds the way up and cleaned it out--Fir trees. These look really good in the back. They cut a large branch on Cedar tree between our house and neighbors which was dropping a lot of debris on the roof. In the front the trees were raised/cleaned a little and a window was cut for the fir tree which is next to a street light. They did an excellent job. I didn't bid anyone else because this company has excellent record on Angie's list and I felt comfortable going with them after talking with the arborist (Chris).

Evergreen provided excellent service. In the initial service while no one was at home, the stomps grinding were not made deep enough. They returned in the following week to grind the root deep enough for the new planting.

Crew showed up right on time and began work. Did a great job. Did what we requested them to do and added their own advice which was great. It was an half price coupon from Angies List. We feel we certainly got our monies worth. We would use Evergreen Tree Service without a second thought. Very Pleased.

The rep was very professional and we discussed all that I needed done. It was more work than the "deal" covered but the rest was done at a very reasonable cost. They removed all debris and left the work areas looking perfect. I'd definitely use them again. I like that they offer other lawn services beside just trees.

Chris Young provided the estimate. He is their arborist and was very knowledgeable on all of the trees that we had. He went into a lot of detail of what he could do for each tree. Chris was very friendly and professional. I think he sold us on his service compared to two others that we checked base on his personality, his knowledge, and professionalism. A crew of 3 guys showed up a few days later a little early at aroun 8AM They were working hard the whole time and finished about 1:30 with no breaks that we could see. The trees look great. Much more open and healthy. A post job inspection was done and I paid via credit card. We were a little nervous as his estimate was much less than the others. One of his competitors argued with us that we should not go with Evergreen because they had no arborist. And He, the competitor, had 9 arborist!, Maybe that is why his estimate was so much higher. Anyhow we verified that Chris is an arborist. And we got a really good job done, by professional folks, on time, and at about 40% less cost than the other guys. We are happy campers!

Chris Young responded to my initial enquiry very quickly. He came out to the house to assess the condition of the tree and make a recommendation as to whether to trim the tree or remove it. As an arborist, Chris made a professional recommendation to have the tree removed since it will split and fall into our neighbor's house. After agreeing to have the tree removed, Chris scheduled the tree removal and showed up on time. He communicated well the removal process and met all of my expectations and more. The wood was cut at a reasonable size for a fireplace and the stump ground. Evergreen Tree Service is insured and bonded which gave me confidence that if something goes wrong with a difficult tree removal, any damage would be repaired. And to top it off, I got a 10% discount for mentioning Angie's List. I highly recommend Evergreen Tree Services.

They were fantastic! Very professional in every aspect. When our huge tree lost a limb, I called Chris for an estimate. He called back immediately and was out within a few days. He walked through the entire yard with me, gave appropriate advice on every tree I asked about, and was not in a hurry to leave. He took time and answered all my questions. He gave a very fair quote and sent a card to follow up on our meeting. The scheduling was easy with Jessica, and the guys who came to take down the tree were fantastic. They were friendly, fast, and smiled for my pictures! They cleaned everything up when they were done, and did a super job of making sure they were safe and efficient while working. The stump grinding was done just a few hours later by David, who was clearly good at his job, even grinding some hard-to-reach stumps. He offered to rake the huge pile of shavings into another part of the yard and cleaned it all up beautifully. I couldn't be happier with this company! Every interaction I have had with Evergreen Tree Service, from Chris and Jessica to Juan and his crew to David, has been friendly and professional. I will recommend them to anyone and everyone, and will certainly use them again.

We had a few alders that were no longer thriving. I used Angie's list to find 3 businesses for 3 estimates. An arborist called us right away and came out to check out the trees. He agreed that the trees should go. He gave us an estimate and we decided to go with them even though no one else had responded yet. As it turned out, the other 2 companies never responded. We wanted to leave about 10 feet for the habitat, and that's what they did. They cut the trees into 16 inch or so pieces so we can use them in our fireplace next year. They also cleaned up nicely.

Chris Young came out to provide an estimate. He was punctual, friendly, knowledgeable, and not pushy. I called him the next day to arrange for my maple and two ash trees to be trimmed. I was scheduled for service two weeks later. The crew arrived on time and did a great job.They were courteous and cleaned up all debris.

A couple weeks before the work was done, an estimater came out and penciled out a list of what each tree would cost me. I liked that I knew there wasn't sloughing in the bid when I could see the breakdown. The stump grinding was extra and I decided not to have that done (yet). The two man crew arrived on time and quickly went to work after verifiying all the things on their work order. They were very careful and thoughtful when selecting the tree branches needing removed in our huge maple trees. They knew what they were doing on which branches to remove and which should stay. All debris was cleaned up and they evn cleaned up leaves and branches they didn't cut! I was impressed with them and will definitely recommend them to others.

The day the work was performed the two-man crew showed up an hour and forty minutes late. No reason or prior communication was given me why. No courtesy. After they were late for an hour I called the office. The office girl told me that they do not give scheduled times to customers as to when the crew is going to show up, "We only tell the customer that the crew will show up in the morning or the afternoon." This was not true. I still have the email I received from her the week before telling me to expect them at 9am on the day the work was scheduled. I should have gotten someone else then but, I was trapped into using this "deal" from Angie's List.. In the week prior to the work being scheduled, their estimator, Chris came out to write the work order. We agreed that the work shown on the work order would be covered by the Angie's List special. I had a small pile of weeds laying near the house in the backyard that Chris told me they would not take because they would jam their shredder. This sounded pretty stingy and later I found out from other local landscaping companies that this was also untrue. When the crew showed up I took them around the house trying to explain to them what needed to be done in which area. One of these guys tried to confront me stating that the job had not been explained to them that way. I responded by telling this guy that I have a copy of the work order inside the house and if he wanted to see it, I would get it and show it to him. He declined. All I could think is with his English skills being so poor, he probably got confused. An hour and a half later, after they said the job was done, I walked around and inspected what they had done. I noticed that the tree stump had not been ground and I asked them when that was going to be done as that part of the job had also been written on the work order. One guy said that the company would be out next week to finish the job. This was not true....As a matter of fact, I have never heard anything or received any communication from Evergreen Tree Services since that day. Obviously, this company doesn't care about the quality of work they do or I would have gotten a call after the job was completed to see what I thought. I would never use or recommend this company again.

The process was quick, the guys did their best to not harm any other plants in the area. Overall, they did a great job, and were very courteous. We will definitely use them in the future.

We have used Evergreen before and just like the first time, they did a great job. They are so reliable and such a professional crew. What we really like about the crew is that they get to work immediately upon arrival to the property and no matter how long the job, they continue working hard. Will use them on a yearly basis. Also, they are very competitive with pricing. We felt like we really got our moneys worth. Would highly recommend. Really appreciated the follow-up note of thanks from Chris Young and we immediately referred him to a friend who is looking for a tree service.

They did a great job were very professional and polite. They cleaned up everything and did not leave a mess. My neighbor commented that they even picked up the wood that was in her yard and how nice they were.

First, I want to say that Jessica, in the office was a blessing due to the disaster that happened when the work was done. Their site had indicated a certified arborist would be present.....he was present ONLY to give an estimate and write up a description of the work to be done. the individual with the chain saw.....IMHO, seemed to need a lot more training. I needed a very tall rose bush/more like a tree trimmed, and he seemed to need instructions regarding each cane that needed to be cut. the dead ones and horizontal ones needed to go, but still had to point to each one for him to trim. My old plum tree was the disaster. There was a very large limb broken off due to weight of ladder, plus his weight leaned on it, all the dead wood was not removed, but the large limb was broken off leaving tree disfigured. the cherry that was to be topped and shaped....he only took a very few limbs off bottom and did not complete the job. Jessica in the office was a blessing to that company and their team. She was kind, handled the very difficult situation professionally and with understanding and issued a check for a total refund. She is the ONE bright spot with this company. They have since removed the notation that a certified arborist will be present since that did not prove to be true.
