We got several estimates and educated ourselves as much as possible, even doing our own Heat Loss Calculation. After much HVAC research we felt that Able Heating was the company being the most honest with us. Their price (ouch!) was competitive, they showed up when they said they would, they were quick and efficient, polite and tidy. They programmed and walked us through the operation of our new thermostat. They have been very helpful in answering our questions. Do your homework and be an informed consumer. Most of the companies we dealt with recommended an oversized furnace (more BTUs than we needed for the size of our home).

The technician came out to our house prepared with the necessary parts and was very professional - he replaced the inducer motor (which had a cracked housing) as requested, thoroughly cleaned & checked the furnace, and made sure everything was in tip top shape. Most of the cost was for the replacement motor (a little less than $300) and I felt the overall price was good, although not necessarily a ''bargain''. In addition, I had originally asked the company to replace an airduct which was torn underneath the house, but the technician pointed out that I could easily do just as good a job myself and save a couple hundred $'s in labor. I appreciated his honesty and good work.

they were on time. got right to work. cleaned up and even checked the duct work under the house to make sure everything was in order.

OVERALL, IT WAS OK. THERE WERE SOME ISSUES DUE TO MINOR NEGLIGENCE, BUT THEY WERE RESOLVED TO MY SATISFACTION.

AWESOME!! PAUL WAS AN EXCELLENT PERSON TO DEAL WITH, WASN'T A HIGH PRESSURE SALESPERSON. HE MENTIONED AN AC REPLACEMENT AT THE SAME TIME AS THE FURNACE INSTALL, BUT DIDN'T FORCE THE ISSUE AS WAS DONE WITH SOME OTHER BIDDERS. HE LISTENED TO OUR REQUESTS, EDUCATED US ON ALL THE VARIOUS TECHNOLOGIES INCLUDING SOME AMAZING SIMILARITIES BETWEEN DIFFERENT NAMES BRANDS. HIS BID WAS A SURPRISE IN TERMS OF COST WITH ALL THE ADDITIONALS INCLUDED. AS FOR THE INSTALLER - CHARLIE - ONE OF THE MOST OUTSTANDING INSTALLERS I'VE EVER HAD THE PLEASURE OF WORKING IN MY HOME. HE TOOK HIS TIME ENSURING EVERYTHING WAS DONE TO LOCAL CODE AND CORRECTLY, DIDN'T CUT ANY CORNERS EVEN WHEN HE HAD OPPORTUNITY TOO ON SEVERAL OCCASIONS, DIDN'T MIND ME WATCHING THE ENTIRE PROCESS, RESPECTFUL OF MY FAMILY. LEFT THE WORK AREA CLEANER THEN WHEN HE STARTED. TOOK HIS TIME TO ENSURE EVERYTHING WAS CORRECTLY DRESSED AND SECURED. NO LOOSE WIRES OR PIPES. WILL DO BUSINESS FOR THE AC WHEN IT IS TIME TO REPLACE!!!

THE TECHNICIAN ACTUALLY ARRIVED THREE HOURS EARLIER THAN SCHEDULED, WHICH WAS GOOD - WE WERE GETTING COLD! HE COMPLETED THE WORK IN ABOUT 10 MINUTES. HE WAS VERY POLITE, AND ACCOMODATED THE FACT THAT I WAS ON A WORK-RELATED PHONECALL THE ENTIRE TIME. (HE WAS UNABLE TO NOTIFY ME OF HIS EARLY ARRIVAL DUE TO MY PHONECALL.) AS WITH A PRIOR SERVICE CALL, HE TOLD ME THE APPROXIMATE EXPECTED LIFETIME OF THE PART. MY RATING ON PRICE REFLECTS THE FACT THAT THEIR PRICES FOR PARTS ARE CONSIDERABLY HIGHER THAN WHAT CAN BE FOUND ON THE INTERNET -WITH EXTENDED WARRANTY - BUT ARE COMPARABLE TO THE MARK-UPS OF OTHER ON-SITE SERVICE FIRMS. OVERALL, I WAS EXTREMELY SATISFIED.

FIRST VISIT WAS 3/29/O5. THEY WERE VERY QUICK TO COME. THEY WERE ONTIME. THEY SAID OUR SYSTEM WAS COMPLETELY DEAD. THEY DID NOT CHARGE US FOR THE SERVICE CALL. THE NEXT DAY THEY CAME TO CHECK AND QUOTE ON THE NEW SYSTEM. ON 4/6 THEY STARTED THE WORK. OVERALL, THEY WERE ONTIME, QUICK, CLEAN AND VERY POLITE.
