Appointment was scheduled fairly soon after I called the company. Armando arrived on time for the appointment. He was friendly and helpful. He did a tune-up and everything was running smoothly. He also suggested that we consider a air duct cleaning when we can afford it since we have never done one for our home. He also offered us the Angie's List discount after learning we are members. A wonderful experience!

The service technician checked our furnace thoroughly. We have an older furnace so I had questions about what a new heating/cooling system would cost and what the options were. I received a lot of useful information.

Armando with the company was awesome. He was very friendly, helpful and efficient. He explained all the questions whatever I asked to him.

Armando, arrived early, which I really appreciated. Explained exactly what he would be doing, and gave me a tutorial on opening/closing filter door, and new filter.

Armando was very customer service focused. He explained what he was doing and pointed out various parts of the heating & cooling system and explained the general maintenance for them.

The person answering the phone was courteous, pleasant, and helpful. The technician arrived promptly and assessed the problem quickly. He was professional. As it turned out it was a small problem for which I was relieved. I would certainly use this company again.

The repairs consisted of two visits. First Armando provided a tune up on the furnace and air conditioner. He was professional and informative on what he needed to repair. I had another company come to do duct cleaning and they found an issue with a water leak from the condensation line. I called Able Heating and Cooling and they sent Armando and Kevin over right away. They both went into the crawl space and found that water had been leaking from the condensation line into the duct work under the house and a mold issue had developed as a result. They had to cease work until the mold issue was remediated, but then returned to do the repairs. They were both professional and customer service focused.

Superb! I was called to say that my technician was running a bit late an d they arrived right at new time. Leland listened to every concern I had about my heat pump air electronic air filter system. Some of the noise was easily fixed with some rubber feet to elevate pump off concrete pad. He then reprogrammed my thermostat to optimize its function and electricity savings. The owner of the company, Kelly then arrived at my house and again listened to everything I had concerns about and went through all the steps that Leland had undertaken to see if anything else could be done. He and Leland determined my electronic air filter was toast (it was 13 years old) and gave me new media type filters for the system. Their office staff was absolutely super as well.

First: called service provider for A/C repair. Was told that someone would be here by mid afternoon on that day. 2nd: service person showed up at about 3:30 PM 3rd: service was completed within half hour. Including testing unit, before & after repair. Final: service person also tested air temp at vents & return!

Service tech showed up on time, was responsive to questions and did a good job cleaning the air conditioner. I enjoy working with this company they do a good job!

Overall, they were fine. Their representative was very efficient and helpful. After the installation was complete we did have one issue, but they were incredibly responsive and resolved it quickly.

We’ve had no problems with their service at all. They were professional, honest, and responsive to our needs.

Jack Freedman explained how the system would work, and offered to match the price of another bid we received. He also offered to find any scratched or dented units that he could install for a lower price. He provided us with the estimate thorough email the day after our initial appointment, and was responsive to my questions and concerns.

As soon as I secured the finances to be able to pay him, I phoned and got on his schedule. Kelly even came back a week after to make sure that we were happy and everything was good. Not only would I recommend them, BUT ALSO I would encourage all businesses to learn how to treat others through Able. I would not call anyone else as long as Kelly and Able HVAC are around.

They were excellent. He was on time and even called ahead of time. He cleaned up after he was done. He did an awesome job. No complaints.

I was so pleased with this company from the get go. Kelly came over to the house(my parents) and was patient and thorough with the estimate and their understanding of it. Then over the next week or so took my calls regarding questions even on the weekend(Kelly is always available). When we chose this company they were punctual and soo professional. My mom was so pleased,said she had never seen such professionalism and care from any company.(this means alot to me). They said it would be installed and finished in 2 days and it was. They will be over next week to go over any questions and to make sure we understand everything and how it works. WOW, This is service!!

It went good. They were very good. They did what they had to do. They came when I asked them to for different things like ratting vents.

We discovered our air conditioning unit was not working on Friday morning before the weather was finally looking like summer. I called Able Heating and Cooling and Kelly had someone come out in an hour. Lee was very professional and was able to trouble shoot the problem within a few minutes. He told me the relay that turned on the unit had failed and he installed a new one. While waiting to test the air temperature he cleaned the air filters in our furnace as he had asked me if they had been done recently and they had not. I was very happy they were able to come out the same day as we were hosting family from out of town over the weekend.

Everything went well--I was given a lesson on how the system works and what maintenance is needed. He cleaned both the heating unit and AC.

Prompt. Professional. Informative. I appreciated that the same guy that gave us the quote would performed the work himself (the Owner!). Ended up not purchasing new furnace as the tune-up helped extend the life of our current furnace so that we could delay replacing it.

It may sound trite, but these folks truly went above and beyond to satisfy the customer. I would definitely use them again in the future. Jack was exceedingly patient with our hundreds of heat pump and financing questions. Kelly, the owner, also spends as much time as you need him to answering questions, and makes you feel like the most important customer in the world even though there are surely many other things he needs to deal with. He also came out in person to address what we thought was a problem with the heat pump (and which turned out to be our incompetence with the thermostat--how embarrassing)! Their patience with us never once faltered, however. The folks who came out and installed the system were also very punctual and self-sufficient. They had everything done in one morning, and even put a piece of sheet rock up where we needed it behind the furnace. This, plus the fact that they replaced our old, ugly duct insulation with a better looking product demonstrates how they did so much more than required just to make us happy. When they were done, everyone who came out left things neat and tidy. They all swept up behind themselves and left without a trace. Their price was very slightly higher than other companies from whom we received estimates, but Able had the best warranty and financing plan. They were also the most responsive, flexible and willing to accommodate our unique needs, so in the end we thought the extra couple hundred dollars was worth it. Everything we read says that the quality of the system has more to do with who installs it than with the actual product installed. Knowing this, I'm optimistic that we'll have a system that works well for years to come.

I called Able Heating to have them come out and take a look and give us a bid. The receptionist took my name and number, but I did not hear back from them. I called again and she remembered me and was very apologetic and told me that Kelly, the owner would get back to me right away, which he did. We set up an appt. for the next day at 9 a.m. He called me to let me know he was running about 10-15 minutes late and if that would be o.k. He was a half hour late, but since I didn't have a tight schedule it was fine. On any other day I would have had to reschedule. Once Kelly arrived he checked things out and did a little trouble shooting, fixed some things in the furnace that could have been potential problems in the future at no charge. He spend quite a while getting the furnace to run at a more efficient speed, so it made up for him being late. I really appreciated the time he spent here making our furnace a better furnace for us. Energy Trust of Oregon had been out here and thought some of our problems might be in the returns and suggested having the returns completely replaced before we do our final duct blowing test. Kelly suggested that we first seal up an old return that was no longer in use into the furnace before we spend a bunch of money on replacing the return system. In order for us to receive an incentive from the Oregon Energy Trust our duct test has to achieve a certain number, and we weren't achieving that. We'll test again next week now that the plenum is sealed up to see if it helps. Either way, it was a great suggestion from Kelly to take that route first. His employee came out the next day, right on time and sealed things up.

We contacted 5 Heating and cooling companies for bids on replacing our home gas heater. One did not call back for several days. Two of the companies did not do a follow up call after the initial sales call. Able was chosen via Angies List and lived up to the ratings and reputation. They were on time for all appointments. During the installation day they were very professional, efficient and completed the work on time. The Coleman system is very quiet and has provided improved heating coverage as promised (no drafts or cool spots in the house), the thermostat is easy to program.

Able Heating and Cooling LLC came out quickly for the estimate and bid very close to other companies we had called. We chose Able for their very high rating on Angie's List. Able's sales guy, Jack, spent a good deal of time with me explaining the benefits and costs of different types of furnaces, and his statements were verified by my own independant research. Able's installer came out promptly and did the job in less time than I expected. Later, they came back to check the unit and provided us with the tax rebate forms for the furnace. I was very satisfied with the bidding and installation process. I give them a C in responsiveness for the following reasons. After the installation, I noticed a panel on the front of the unit that wasn't sealed tight against the body. Able said they would send someone out to look at it. They never got back to me and, to be fair, I didn't pursue the matter. They also said that they would come back about 2 weeks after the installation to collect the balance owed and make sure the system was working properly. It took them about 2 months to do so, at which time they fixed the problem with the panel. Again, we did not call to prompt them. My impression is that communication gets lost sometimes between the office and the work crews. On the main points of getting a bid in and installing the furnace, communication is very good. I would recommend Able Heating and would use them again.

We discovered late on a Saturday afternoon that our furnace was blowing cold air instead of hot. air. We called Able Heating & Cooling and they arrived about 1 hour later and stayed past 6:30 p.m. They tested the furnace and diagnosed the problem quickly. However, a replacement part was needed but was not obtainable at that hour, so they promised to come back the next business day to install the new part- which they did. After the new part was installed, they gave us a free A/C check. The two people from Able were dealt with were both very pleasant to work with. The furnace has worked well since they repaired it.
