Called Able Heating & Cooling in the morning to check out our heat pump that was making screeching noise. They came out that afternoon and fixed the problem. Nick was on time and professional. He quickly diagnosed and fixed the problem. I will definitely use them again.

Able had earned this review. I've used them several times now and have always been impressed with their customer service, the responsiveness of their crew, and the business integrity that they bring to every customer. Their techs are on time, honest, and get it right. Could not recommend more. I will be a loyal customer for life!

On a very hot day they were able to get someone to fix my air conditioner in under two hours. The tech that showed up was very courteous and professional. He clearly explained what was wrong and my options. He was then able to quickly fix the unit. I would Definitely use Able Heating and Cooling again.

They did a great job! The technician they sent out (I forgot his name! :( ) was polite, professional, and thorough. He really took pride in his work. The work was completed and we are very pleased. We would use them again.

It was easy scheduling a convenient time. Ken showed up promptly at the appointment. He was thorough and explained things well. Very similar experience as when we serviced my furnace last fall.

Although Able did not install original equipment, they checked to see if furnace was still under warranty (it was). They ordered the part (motor) and replaced it and actually did such a slick job that we paid less than the quote they had given for the labor. We have used them for routine maintenance in the past and will do so in the future. Very thoughtful people

I'd been trying for days to work with my home warranty company to get someone who could repair my non-functioning furnace and they finally authorized me to find my own contractor. From my initial call with Dolly to the final repair done by Scott, the experience was exceptional. It was snowing in the region and forecasts were for it to be the coldest night of the year, so I knew they would be busy, yet they did everything possible to come to my "rescue". Dolly talked me through a couple of trouble-shooting fixes--just in case that might save me the expense of a service call. When those actions didn't solve my problem, she dispatched Scott to fit me into his already booked day. When Scott arrived, he was able to quickly diagnose and fix the problem. Then, he took the time to share some preventative tips to ward off future problems. Lastly, he patiently "waded" through a tedious call with my warranty company so I could be reimbursed for his service fee--which I would have gladly absorbed to have heat again. Able will have my business forever! Caring, professional, highly capable!!

Excellent. I wanted more than just the heat pump installation (isolate the rooms served by the ductless unit from the central system). Greg, the installation manager was very helpful and knowledgeable. The work was performed on time, at the quoted price even though some extra work was involved, and Able waited until I was 100% satisfied before payment (I called THEM to schedule the payment, as they were willing to wait even longer to be sure I liked the work). It may be that I could find a cheaper contractor, but I wouldn't expect the level of service I got from Able. There was a minor issue on the installation - outdoor unit not parallel to the house wall - largely because I'm picky. That was addressed promptly and above my standards. In all, Able did a great job with a finicky customer.

Technician was friendly and very informative. This is our first house and we're not sure what we're doing in terms of servicing the various appliances. He explained everything he was doing and why and also gave us recommendations on ways to extend the life of things so we can avoid replacing them immediately. My husband and I were both very impressed and would absolutely hire them again.

The service went great. The technician showed up on time, was very courteous and respectful of our home. He explained the work to be done and went over all of the work afterwards. He also provided recommendations on future maintenance, but didn't push any sales.

Although I don't have A/C anyway, when I got home one day last week and saw that my thermostat wasn't working, I assumed the worst! That my furnace had an issue again, and the board had just been replaced less than a year ago! I called Able and as always, got a friendly and helpful voice on the other end. Even though it was after the end of the normal workday, and they are super busy with the summer heat on the horizon, they STILL offered to swing by my house on the tech's way home, amazing! After running a few different diagnostics tests that all came out good, the tech figured out that all it was is that my thermostat needed new batteries! He didn't charge me, and didn't make me feel like a stupid person either. I have only had The Best experience with this company, and recommend them to anyone!

They answered the phone, asked me several questions, and were over so fast I couldn't believe it! The tech who came figured out the issue easily, replaced it, and my furnace was humming along again happily! I have always had such a great experience with this company, and am happy I had their sticker on my furnace when I bought my house!

I received an estimate from Able that I didn't trust or move forward with. The woman who did the estimate showed up on time and spent about as much time admiring my landscaping and interior design choices as she did collecting information for the estimate, which was prepared ahead of time and given to me before she left. The biggest problem with this is that she estimated the square footage of the house from pictures on Google Maps. She didn't confirm the square footage, didn't measure the house or windows, and didn't note the orientation of any windows. Without this information a proper calculation cannot be made and the BTUs/tons recommended for the furnace and A/C respectively may not be accurate (in this case, they were not accurate when compared to a competent estimate I received from a different company). The estimator also didn't listen well to my requests. I said repeatedly I wanted the highest efficiency furnace and air conditioner made by a certain company and she kept referring me back to a lower efficiency model. Perhaps if the estimator had spent as much time making an accurate calculation of my house's load requirements and listening to my requests as she did photographing and admiring my landscaping and interior design choices, she would have been able to give me a comprehensive and appropriate estimate. As it were, I was glad when she left and knew I wouldn't be hiring Able to do this or any other work.

The estimator didn’t take any measurements in the house at all, which was the first red flag. She didn’t ask for the square footage of the house, count or measure the windows, nor did she note the orientation of the windows. The lack of measurements left me with no confidence that the system she recommended would be appropriate for my home. She also didn’t listen to my requests. I told her I wanted the highest efficiency furnace and air conditioner that Trane makes and she kept referring me back to a lower efficiency model. Perhaps if the estimator had spent as much time getting measurements and listening to my requirements as she did photographing my landscaping and admiring my interior design she would have instilled some confidence in me as a potential client. As it were, I was glad when she left and knew for sure I wouldn’t be hiring Able now or in the future.

Everything went fine. Filters were changed and furnace inspected. Home pump was cleaned out so it ran quieter. Unfortunately we had another contractor there to do something else and the furnace worker provided his input which was negative. He thought the other guy was out of earshot but he wasn't. I then had to deal with an angry contractor who was ready to work out. Eventually all worked out. The Able Heating guy meant well and was partially correct but it was the wrong time to tell me.

Blower motor over seven years old, became noisy and failing intermittently while energized and actively pushing air through unit. Prompt and efficient diagnosis and repair-- if ever there is a problem in the future that requires professional level attention, I will give them a call!

Same day service, unbelievable! Nick arrived on time as promised, sharp and professional. I'm in the repair business too so I feel I know skilled and efficient workmanship. Got right with the program, eventually diagnosed a bad connection in my electrical panel. Very thorough inspection of all the components for any other possible problems or conditions and best of all, he didn't try to sell me a whole new system unlike the last 2 companies I've had out here to do repairs. And for that reason, when I do decide to get a new heat pump and air handler I am going to call ABLE HEATING & COOLING! I also had Nick install a new programmable Wifi able thermostat that we love. Outstanding, very happy.

Armando arrived, asked some questions about the symptoms and quickly found the problem. He replaced the necessary part from stock in his truck, and some hints about keeping the system running better. Excellent experience all around.

I will always call Able Heating. From the call to their office, to the completion of the repair, everyone was professional and courteous. Scott, from Able Heating was very knowledgeable and helpful. He diagnosed the problem and was able to repair with a new part, during the same appointment. He explained details as to what was wrong and provided information, for on-going maintenance, which was so very much appreciated. The total experience was great, and we had heat again! Thank you!!

They inspected our furnace for the winter. They were thorough, punctual, and explained things clearly. They also gave me their special price on inspections.
