He clearly knew his business and installed a unit smaller than the other bidders recommended, which made sense since two of our house's four levels were partially in ground and cooler. |The installation crew was on time skilled and did a fine job of overcoming some challenges that our house provided. They were nice guys too. |Very personal attention and an emphasis on client satisfaction, shown by a visit a couple of weeks after the installation to check on how it is working and collect payment. |A quality operation, they made the process very easy.

Description of Work: I had some mysterious issues that caused the furnace to shut off and not work in tandum with the thermostat. I called Able as my previous provider couldn't respond quickly and the house was an uncomfortable 55 degrees. Long story short, they responded immediately and traiged the mystery and gave me a workaround should it continue. I have since called them several times and they've always been very dependable and professional. I recommend them without hesitation.

Description of Work: When the first serviceman came out, he did not have the correct part needed form repairing my furnace. However, he ordered the correct one, and gave me a wealth of helpful information while we talked. Excellent service. The second serviceman, who actually installed the part, was technically very efficient, but had much less information to share.

Description of Work: Very prompt and courteous service. We had the blower motor and circuit board suddenly fail on our 20 year-old furnace. They were able to have someone out, pull and change out the affected parts within 12 hours of my call. Also thoroughly cleaned and serviced the furnace. Completely positive experience -- highly recommend!

Description of Work: Kelly was ABLE to come to our home soon after our call. He diagnosed why we were not getting cool air, and he and his technician serviced our air-conditioning unit right away. He was professional, explained our service problem, proposed a strategy to diagnose what may be a slow leak and answered our questions about our equipment and its future replacement. We will definitely call on him again for heating and cooling service or replacement.

Description of Work: I found Able on Angie's list and was amazed at the wonderful reviews/reputation of the company. Scheduled for a tune up of my furnace, heat pump and April Aire filtering system. Armando was sent out. We arrived a little late but I was notified in advance. He was very professional, knowledgeable and went right to work, explaining all that he was doing. He did a wonderful job, cleaned up very well, and answered all my questions in a very easy-to-understand method. I would highly recommend this company and will use them as my maintenance company and if a problem should occur.

Description of Work: We woke up Saturday morning to no heat. A circuit board went out on our heat pump and I called on a Saturday and Leland was out within 30 minutes and diagnosed the problem switched me over to the gas furance so that we would have heat over the weekend and on Monday he installed the new circuit board and tested everything in a professional manner. I was given the senior discount as well as I used two Angie's List discount coupons worth $25 each. I have no real complaints but do have a bother in that I had to pay for two visits one for diagnosis and one for installation. I guess that is just the way it is.......

Description of Work: Excellent Experience A++++++. Armondo was the technician who came out to the house. He was professional, friendly and very knowlegeable about the furnace A/C. He was able to show me how to do my own quarterly maintenance. One thing I greatly appreciated is that his last job had gone longer than expected so his company called me to let me know about the delay prior to the scheduled time. That is true customer service. Even though he was not able to complete the full service on the furnace due to some problems I was having with my AC that needed to be resolved, he still honored the quoted price for both services despite the fact that it will require and added trip for him. Look no further this is the company you want servicing your HVAC.

Description of Work: OUTSIDE AIR CONDITIONING UNIT STOPPED WORKING 6-23-10. WENT TO ANGIES LIST, SAW ABLE HEATING AND COOLING IN MY CITY OF TIGARD SO CALLED ON FRIDAY AT NOON. RECEPTIONIST WAS SO HELPFUL. KELLY CALLED 8 MINUTES BEFORE COMING THAT SAME AFTERNOON. MY WIFE STATED HE WAS KNOWLEDGEABLE, PROFESSIONAL, AND HAD THE PROBLEM (A CAPACITOR) FIXED IN NO TIME. Description of Work: Installed a new Heat pump and furnace. Everylast person that I talked with or dealt with on this purchase and service was the best that I have ever experienced. They were more concerned making sure that we were pleased than anyone I have ever delt with. I had only one question after the complition of work and the electrition was out here the very next day to answer my questions and explane a few things to me. Also, the installers explaned all of the functions of the thermostat to get the best results and to save energy costs. My wife and I are completely satisfied with every phase of this work. As this home was built in 1967 many extra things had to be done concerning the electrial and natural gas connections to complete the work. When the work was completed one could hardly tell that anyone had ever even been here as every last piece of debris was gone and everything cleaned up. I would recomend Able Heating & Cooling to anyone!

Description of Work: Able replaced a heat pump whose compressor was fried with a energy efficient, tax credit unit and furnace. They completed the work in one day! The jobsite was left very clean and the technicians were respectful and efficient! Very impressed.

Description of Work: The igniter in my gas furnace went out. The service technician replaced it and then checked my air conditioning unit as I had requested when I called in for service for the furnace.

Description of Work: During the cold snap, my furnace was working intermittently. I called Able Heating and spoke with Kelly. He was unable to come to my home to fix the issue immediately, but bent over backwards to get heat going again until he could come by. He walked me through a number of different possible issues/remedies and as a result I won't be spending the night without heat. Kelly was extremely helpful; if he can do this over the phone(for free)I can only imagine the type of work he does in person...highly recommended.
