If you are buying anything including installation from Sears, Lowes, Home depot, and whd knows who else ... DON'T. They contract these clowns and they are the worst company I have ever dealt with. Waited weeks leaving multiple phone messages because they don't answer their phone to get a dishwasher from Lowes installed. Giving up after nearly a month, going back to the store to cancell the order and get my credit card refunded. WISH ME LUCK.

I paid for this dishwasher installation service upfront and in full at Lowe's on Saturday 5/24/2014 (and my credit card showed the purchase immediately). After 48 hours I still had not heard from the installation company regarding setting up an install date. So I called Lowe's and got the installers information from them because Lowe's had no control over when they contacted me to set up the install. Lowe's informed me that all of their installation is done through a contract with A1 Installation. After numerous messages and attempted phone calls to A1 Installation finally someone picked up the phone (Thurs/Fri). While trying to schedule an appointment time the woman answering the phones for A1 Installation actually complained about how busy they had been and told me it would be a week before anyone could come out. I pushed for an earlier appointment because it had already been 6 days since I purchased the dishwasher. She told me she could squeeze me in late afternoon on Monday (6/2/2014). Then on Friday 5/30/14 I get a call from an installer from A1 Installation saying that he could be there Saturday between 10 and 2. I was ecstatic! So, I booked the appointment, installer showed up, installed the dishwasher and left. Then, after dinner I go to do the dishes and my garbage disposal sounds like someone left a metal pot in it! So, I call A1 Installation back, but their offices are closed. So, I call Lowe's to let them know what is happening 5/31/2014, and they say there's nothing they can do except call A1 Installation on Monday. So, I call A1 Installation again on Monday 6/2/2014 and again numerous phone calls because no one is answering the phone. In the mean time Lowe's is calling wanting to know how the install is going (I had already talked to them on Saturday!)! I explain the situation to a Lowe's manager again, but I am told they can do nothing. Lowes tells me it is "out of their hands because they contract with A 1 Installation so we are at the mercy of their schedule." I finally reach someone form A1 installation Monday (6/2/2014) afternoon who assures me someone will call me to set up a time to come back out and fix their installers mistake. No one calls me back (at this point I am not surprised, it is par for the course)! Then later that afternoon I get a phone call from the A1 employee who installed the dishwasher stating that he did remember "knocking a ring off the disposal" and that "he may have forgotten to pull it out of the disposal." He gave me instructions to "reach in the sink with the disposal off of course and feel around for a plastic ring that he neglected to remove". This did not work as I could see nothing in the disposal. I called A1 Installation back on Tuesday morning 6/3/2014 and they assured me they would work on getting someone out there immediately to fix it. I hear nothing back from them until Wednesday morning when a manager tells me they can't get anyone out to my home until Saturday 6/7/2014. Apparently the word "immediately" is highly subjective! At this point I am beyond frustrated with this service and this business, and I express my frustration to this manager at A1 Installation. I explain to the manager that this is their mistake and they need to fix it post haste. He says "Our guys are back at the shop by 3:30 or 4 so they can't come out at 4." This is confusing to me since all along I was told their last appointment window is 2-6pm! The manager tells me that "Saturday would be easier because they could make my house the first stop." Really? Easier for who? I waited a week for you to install my dishwasher (although my money was collected promptly?). Then I have to wait another week for you to send someone out to fix my brand new garbage disposal that your installer messed up? I can't use my disposal because it is absolutely deafening. So again...easier for who is my question? As of 6/4/2014, I washed my hands of dealing with A1 Installation. I contacted Lowe's and requested they contact A1 Installation and set up an appointment for Saturday @ 8:00am to fix my garbage disposal that the A1 Installation installer messed up at the install on 5/31/2014. I am so frustrated with this whole thing, and feel so powerless, that I had to write this review in hopes of saving other people the headaches I have endured! If you are buying anything that needs to be installed in the Beaverton, Hillsboro, Portland, Oregon areas be sure A1 installation isn't the business who will be doing the installation...because you are in for a long road and a lot of headaches. Prior to my purchase Lowe's told me there would be no issues with installation, during this process they told me they had no control/say over when/how installation services were delivered. Other than collecting my money immediately, Lowe's did absolutely nothing to assist me in solving this problem except to make additional phone calls to let A1 know that this was a "priority".
Description of Work: I bought a dishwasher through Lowe's in Hillsboro, OR on 5/24/2014 and paid for installation. They were having a promotion through Bosch. Lowe's uses A 1 installation to install their dishwashers.
