Randy agreed to the work and then we had to wait for the ground to dry out a bit. He called regularly to keep me updated. When we had some dry weather, he called and said he was starting work. I was able to visit the site and I was very impressed with the work. He was in process of clearing off the soil and was doing a great job. I saw his machinery and asked him to dig a trench for electrical, water, cable and phone to the future house location and the RV pad. I had intended to trench this myself with a rental trencher, but his small excavator made short work of this job. Unfortunately, I was in a motorcycle accident on the way home from the site and was not able to visit the location for a while. Well, when I saw the end of the work, I could not be more pleased. It was perfect!!! The rock drive is solid and will pack to a perfect level with some traffic. And the trench was in and it was exactly as I needed. So later I was talking to the electrician and remarked that I was going to be laid up for a while and would be delayed in getting the water lines in place and backfilling the trench. He said, "Call Randy. He does lots of water work for wells." When I called Randy he said he would be more than happy to do the water line and then backfill the trench when all the utilities are in. Well, when I saw the work, all completed, I was shocked. It could not be better!!! He even ran a water line to the future house location AND installed a faucet at the RV pad. The backfilling was perfect; smooth and clean just as expected. Over-all, this guy is a STAR! He did much more work than we originally agreed, did it quickly and did a super job. I'm not sure what the final cost will be yet, but looking at the work performed, I am delighted and am expecting the cost to be reasonable as well.
