+ -1 moreIn 2021 they replaced the main pan and said the new pump that was installed would take care of the water and the drain that was on the pan would not be necessary so they disconnected it. When they came out on Saturday before the 4th of July Hunter said the secondary pan had filled up because the 4x4 that the machine was sitting on had tipped so the top pan had tilted and water went into the second pan which didn't have a drain destroying the ceiling again. Hunter also said he straightened the 4x4 and cleaned the second pan and looked at the old disconnected drain. He suggested we have someone come instal a new drain and strap the machine to the 4x4. He said the pump should work until I had those things done. I came home late Sunday to a hugh puddle of water and a bigger wet spot on the ceiling. Now my ceiling has twice as much to be repaired and also the floor is probably ruined! My homeowners insurance is hopefully going to pay for the damage but I have to pay a $1000 deductible besides the $290 I paid on the 2nd. I will never use them again and would not recommend them either!
Description of Work: Replaced a condensation pan because it was cracked and leaked causing my ceiling to need repair. This was in July 2021. Then July 2 2022 something happened and the pan overflowed ruining my ceiling. In 2021 I insisted and paid over $400 to have a pump put in on the pan that was supposed to pump the condensation out side.

Description of Work: I give them an overall rating of a B because I have not needed them to do anything more than routine maintenance and a simple repair and prefer to reserve my A ratings for companies that I know excel. Jahnke may be one of those companies but I have (fortunately) not had the misfortune of needing them to do anything but show up on time and do relatively routine work. The most important part of my evaluation is my statement that I will be using them again.

+ -1 moreI got the unit from them and they do the annual check up. It only takes about 20 minutes to complete the service. They leave the area fine. I am not sure what I am getting. They check a bunch of perimeters in the system and they seem to know what they are doing. They give me a report. So, I guess I would say that they are relatively quick and responsive.

They checked a bunch of parameters on the system and they seem to know what they're doing; they give me a report. I started using them about nine and a half years ago. They installed the system. For that overall grade, I would give them a B for that. Mostly it was two people who came to complete that service, but at one point I think there were three and it took about four days. They left the area clean, fine.

I have used at least 3 different HVAC providers for my rentals in the past 10 years and can say Jahnke's team has done the best job for me. The technician and staff are professional, courteous, responsive, helpful and answer all my questions. I highly recommend them.

Description of Work: This company did a good initial service call, but completely failed to deliver a bid to replace an a/c system in a rental condo, and which was promised for the following morning. This put pressure on our renters and undermined our relationship with them. We contacted the company after about a week of waiting. They never did give us a bid, or respond in any way to multiple calls and emails, and after more than a week of delay we found another company. At the same time as the initial service call, we asked them to check our home a/c system, and they replaced some coolant, which took ten minutes, and then sent us a several hundred dollar bill. We sent an email questioning the charges, which seemed high and had no itemized breakdown, (it turned out actually that the charges were probably correct but we never had any way to know that) and never heard a thing back. Eventually they re-billed us and sent a notice threatening to take us to collections. We called, finally getting their attention when they wanted our money, and talked through this history as described here. They never gave an inch, never offered a discount, never waived a charge, and simply insisted on immediate payment in full. Just about the worst possible customer service. I would never do business with this organization again.

Description of Work: We used Jahnke to install a new HVAC in our small, older home. They did a good job, and their crew was a pair of great guys. The only issue was that there were some minor fixes required after the install, and again after the city inspector looked at their work. No big deal, they came back promptly to make adjustments/fixes and the system is working very well. Thanks, guys!

+ -1 moreThe first two times it took several days for them to provide a technician who could identify the actual problem. They sent someone out, he didn't know, so the next day someone else would come and take a guess. Both times we dealt with at least four different technicians and the issue took over a week to resolve. Their technicians have very weak people skills were unable to explain basic HVAC functions to me when I asked. When the unit started malfunctioning a second time time (since it's installation 7 months prior) we had resolved not to use them again but the owner begged us for one more chance and told us we wouldn't be charged for labor. They sent a technician we'd met before and who seemed to be the most knowledgable, but it was a very similar scenario. We were told one day that the problem was 'definitely not the wiring' but a part that needed ordered. They showed up the next day, replaced the part, then decided 'it's the wiring'. We have paid them, but we continue to receive bills from them claiming we haven't paid. We have repeatedly contacted them to provide them with check numbers and dates but receive snarky responses back. I wish we'd never used their service.
Description of Work: Our entire HVAC unit was replaced in July during their first trip out, as well as the zoning board. When the system stopped working again in December, they replaced the zoning board again, as well as some wires.

Description of Work: While dusting under the bottom panel of my Heat & Glo gas fireplace, I noticed a green electrical wire that was loose. I worried that I may have pulled the wire out while dusting, so I called Jahnke Heating, the local Heat & Glo dealership. I explained about the wire on the phone and asked to have a service tech come out to check the situation. A very nice guy showed up on time and checked the panel. I was told only two of the three wires needed to be attached, so the fireplace was fine. Isn't it great to have that type of reassurance!?!?!? Okay, here for five to seven minutes and the cost was $65.00. Now, I was told this on the phone, but I thought that would be for any repair that had to be made, NOT just to check and find nothing wrong. If he would have pulled out a mini vac and cleaned the equipment, I would not have balked at the cost - BUT, and I am not kidding, there was no discount when he saw there was no problem. I was charged the full $65.00 for a question I could probably have answered over the phone if I found an "800" number. WOW, I may or may not have to use their services in the future, but I will have lists of things to do for that price.
