Description of Work: New heat pump and furnace, slight problem when I used air conditioner and they responded and fixed immediately

Description of Work: They repaired a gas furnace that would not fire.

Description of Work: Had them come and service HVAC unit. Make sure it was in good working order. Unit had been doing a weird switching off. They serviced it and went on their way stating it was in good condition, no repairs necessary. 3 months later come to find out the unit has a major repair needed. We had two other companies come out to diagnose, both repair men stated the problem was something that not only could have been caught but SHOULD have been caught 3 months ago when checked out by Jcoh. I called them to confront them with this new info, told them about the repair and offered them a chance to keep my business. They were not very receptive. Spoke to the owner, Brian, who told me to let him know what the other estimates came in at. ( the other companies said that if they had been so negligent they would be making this repair for free) Anyhow, after going out of my way going back and forh getting other estimates and getting in touch with Jcoh, they offered to fix it for $13 cheaper than the other estimate. I obviousy did not go with Jcoh. I was appalled. I realized they prob wouldn't offer for free, but I was hoping maybe 50% off, would have been happy with 20-30% off. I tried go give them a chance to redeem themselves. As a local small business I though they might be interested in keeping a customer happy. Just not good business in my humble opinion. While they denied any wrong doing, stating that maybe the problem was not present at the time. I can say that TWO separate UNBIASED professionals both said this was a far gone problem and it would have been noticed with an error code even if it could not be seen with visible inspection. Jcoh, obviously denied this and said it was fine at the time of their inspection--surprise,surprise...

Description of Work: Jco installed a new heat pump, all new ducting and registers, two bath fans and a large kitchen exhaust fan for our large remodel. They were always prompt and professional and great to work with. We called them back when it was time for our gas furnace tune up.

Description of Work: Here is my letter regarding what a great experience I had with J Co Heating and Air Conditioning. When I first started looking for someone to help me with our furnace, there were several companies that didn't even bother to return my messages. From the first phone call, J Co Heating and Air Conditioning took the time to find out what was going on and sent someone out to investigate. They made it very clear that they were not out to just sell me a new furnace. They were genuinely concerned about my family's well being. Because of how they treated me during that time I decided to come back to J Co Heating and Air Conditioning to get my furnace replaced. I spoke to Brian Tiller about financing options and he shared what a great energy program my utility company had. Then, with unbelievable speed, I got a new furnace. The J Co employees were prompt, polite, and knowledgeable. They maneuvered under my house which had an extremely small crawl space. Even during the extreme heat wave we had, they refused to stop until we had air conditioning. Now we have a great energy furnace. We can't believe how quiet the new furnace is and how the house is so comfortable. American Standard furnace is the way to go for an excellent product.
