Description of Work: Sam helped me convert a shed into a home office. He framed and installed a door and some windows, and added ventilation to the roof.

He touched base with me re: details of each installation, got the work done on time and on budget, and checked back with me to see how I liked his work. The only reason I didn't give him the highest rating in every category is that he could have done a bit better on the cleanup after his work. It wasn't bad at all, just a little un-tidy. I would definitely recommend Sam for any construction job you have.
Description of Work: Sam installed two doors for me - first a human-size garage door, then a front door. The first door was to check his work - doors can be tricky. Sam did such a good job that I felt comfortable asking him to install our front door - a much more important job.

I have had Sam Hobbs do several projects for me in the past, so when I asked him to build the deck for me, I fully expected a professional, competent job from him: and I was not disappointed. Sam is very easy and pleasant to work with. He show up when he says he will, and stays until the job is finished. Sam is an excellent craftsman, and pays attention to the smallest detail. He wants everything to be done right, and look well when finished. I will definitely be calling on Sam the next time I have a project to be done.

+ 1 moreI consulted with Sam on my desire to have more light in the room and he sugggested that we could go with a taller window with minimal additional effort and expense. Sam sourced a window from Jerry's Home Improvement that was about one foot taller than the original window and cut the rough opening of my wall down to accomodate. I had heard horror stories about window replacements that leaked water into the wall and caused future damage. Sam consulted with me at length about the types of flashing and caulking he would use and he was very cognizant of my concerns. After installing the window and trimming the exterior, I opted to have Sam install a lovely new window sill and casing on the inside as well. The job turned out quite nice and I am happy with it. Once the weather warms a bit, Sam will be back to paint the trim to match the home.
Description of Work: I hired Sam Hobbs (AKA Craftsman Hobbs) to replace an existing aluminum framed window with a new energy efficient vinyl framed window. I also opted for a larger window to brighten the room.
