+ -1 moreIt's been seven years and the "composite" deck is peeling, the boards are warping, the layout is wrong (there are three levels but the boards run the same way for the first two so it's easy to miss the step. Boards on the second level should have been perpendicular, the third level was all scrap pieces which are warping), the plants were too close together and most have been removed and replaced, the fence was the cheapest wood so there are knot holes and the gaps between the boards are too wide. One of the owners was extremely difficult to work with, actually yelled at me when I mentioned a suggestion made by my neighbor.

Description of Work: Double R Builders removed and replaced deck boards on our wrap around the house deck. After getting Trex Corp. to agree on fully replacing the defective deck boards on my own, Double R Builders went to bat for me in negotiating for additional required board feet and fasteners to complete the job. They totally took the pressure off of me by dealing with Trex from a professional level which made it all happen. The whole deck had to be replaced and the job was meant for a professional contractor due to the decking being installed under several stone pillars. The crew was conscientious and cleaned up the mess nightly. Very nice crew with great attitudes! Touch up work was done without complaint. I would definitely use Double R Builders in the future.
