Services we offer
Waterproof Basements and Crawl Spaces using Basement Systems products, Air Sanitizing, Air Purifying, & Mold Proofing.
Services we don't offer
We do not put fiberglass insulation in crawlspaces. Science shows that fiberglass that is open to the elements, such as in a crawlspace, absorbs the water, causing it to hold moisture against the wood, leading to mold and mildew. We will not install this as it causes home integrity issues in the long run.
Description of Work: I do not know what they did as no report or work needed has been received nor agreed to do. I have pace maker and shoulder deterioration which prevent me from going in crawl space. |I am considering other contractors. | |This encapsulated used BasementSystems products and was first installed in 2007 and FAILED in 2011. JWP made repairs as needed and per specifications and extended the warrenty. Here I am, 79 years old, with a company that took five days to respond to my first of two water alarm calls - on AUG.28th & 29th with response coming March 3rd in thei response to the BBB. |I do not trust JWP as they damaged the pier block and POSTS in the crawl space, altered contracts, claimed that the first repair brought my crawl space BACK TO "NEW" condition. | Encapsulated "NEW" crawl space, in 2014, had 8-12 inches of water on top of CleanSpace covering. Yearly Maintenance inspection was done in Late January and system failed | |Jake Nardin gave me estimate of service cost for next work trip on March 13, 2014. | |I received a bill for about $680 for hourly expenses for man=hours traveling and mileage for a crew of four on their next repair trip for the Mar 13 2014. This was the first crew visit and |

It sounds like you have had a horrid experience and for that I am truly sorry. I have sent this to our General Manager to look into and find out what happened and why.

Description of Work: I sold a rental house that had dead animals in the crawl space. FUN! They didn't handle the work, but they referred me to someone who could help (who was very helpful but I didn't use them either because I had another company previously do work and I pushed them in to going back and doing a better job.) John's waterproofing was very helpful in this process.

Description of Work: John's relined and waterproofed our crawl space, a four-day job. The workers were excellent, working in very tight quarters. Courteous and responsive to questions and concerns. The only problem came with the estimator who left some critical items off the estimate. The company made good on the on the estimate and did the necessary work.

Description of Work: Taking 11 months to do a job is unacceptable. But the biggest problem was that they insisted that I needed an incredibly complex treatment for some simple problems. MY ADVICE IS BE REAL CAREFUL WHAT YOU SIGN UP FOR BECAUSE THEY WILL SELL YOU WAY MORE THAN YOU NEED IF YOU ARE NOT WAY SMARTER THAN I WAS. Here's the deal: my crawl space is dry. You could stand on paper towels on the dirt and they would remain dry. I had three things that I wanted fixed. I asked them to 1) replace plastic sheet over crawl space dirt floor, 2) repair clothes dryer vent, and 3) replace foil sheeting on the bottom side of the floor, expecting to pay maybe ~$3,500. Well, they put in a system that was designed for a space that has standing water, mildew, mud, decaying wood, leaky foundation, etc.etc. to the tune of $13,000. They installed a sump pump!! And a dehumidifier! expensive plastic sheeting, a perforated pipe drain that went clear around the crawl space and dumped into the sump pump, and they first said I would have to have annual maintenance @ $100+ for the rest of the life of the HOUSE! That wasn't explained at the beginning. Plus I hear one or the other of those electric motors running half the day which adds to my electric bill which just irritates the check out of me. |One of their supervisors named Jake said that ALL crawlspaces "have water" (yes, that is what he said!) obviously meaning that they all need this sort of expensive treatment. Just incredible! My crawl space had standing water 16 years ago in that terrible 1996-97 winter when it rained so much that houses were sliding down into the gorge east of Gresham, but I live on the side of a hill in Beaverton, so don't collect water. What I did to control humidity in the crawlspaces was just change out foam blocks in the ventilators twice a year. | BE VERY CLEAR ABOUT WHAT YOU WANT AND WHAT THEY SAY THEY ARE GOING TO DO. .

Wow (member name removed), in looking through your file and service notes it looks like we had to come out several times to fix or repair issues with the system. We apologize that it took so much to get everything working and done as it was promised to you. (I will say though the gentleman who sold you that system is no longer employed with us). I will relay this review to our manager and production so that we may train from it to ensure it never happens again. It is our mission to complete our work properly and leave our customers completely satisfied. I apologize that you had such a terrible experience with us. Thank you again for sharing this with us so that we may learn from it and do better.

Description of Work: I only asked for an estimate. I was very impressed with the thoroughness of the inspection and the detailed information they provided. They were very professional and by far the most comprehensive company I dealt with. I decided to delay work on this project for at least another year.

Description of Work: They threw my clothes and other belongings into the middle of the room, and left a mess. There was a new leak after the work was done and they didn't want to take responsibility for it until I said I would call the licensing bureau. My washer and dryer were disconnected and I was not told. My dryer vent was also removed and left this way. I would not recommend this company to my worst enemy.

Great !!!!
Description of Work: We had seeping water in our basement that we assumed was due to the heavy winter/spring/summer rains that we got this year so John's was the first of three contractors that we were going to haver out to examine our situation. Larry, came for the estimate, John's was the first co. To respond to our request for an estimator, and took the time to show us that we had a broken pipe under our slab of concrete, not a seep from the outside. We really appreciated his patience in explaining our situation to us even though he told us that we needed a plumber not a basement water proofing contractor. I would call them for any basement waterproofing needs in the future! great professionalism and customer relations!

Description of Work: Larry Enderle from Johns' Waterproofing came to evaluate the basement walls which showed flaking of paint and cement. He assured me the walls were not bad and told me what I could do, what products to use to alleviate the problem and how to use them. He noted I had a dehumidifier (a Whirlpool which had quit after 3 years of continuous use) and suggested a replacement of a crawlspace model that would dehumidify and circulate air through the entire basement without costing much for electricity. No longer would I need to keep an additonal fan in continuous use. We walked around the house to check the foundation for problems and he found no visible problems such as, dirt contacting the window wood frames or dirt higher that the window wells, other than the window wells were too small for the windows. The wells are just as wide as the windows but needed to be at least 6 inches wider on both sides. Larry was professional, informative, took time for all my questions and was personable. He came and installed the dehumidifier about a week after the initial visit. It started draining water after 20 minutes of operation! I am very happy with the dehumidifier and would recommend Johns' Waterproofing to others.
