March 29, 2012, BC Plumbing came out and removed three toilets and replaced them with new ones as we were having sheet vinyl installed in the bathrooms. They charged us $218.00. Beginning in March 2013 evidence of moisture and then small puddles of water began to appear. The plumber demonstrated how loose the water tanks on the three toilets were by moving the top an inch to the front and rear. He said they had not been bolted down properly when installed. After receiving the bill for $95, I complained to the company and was advised that it was past the one-year guarantee. (The guarantee does not appear on any paperwork from the company. ) I called the company and the owner was "out" and would call us back. That was last week and we are still waiting.
Description of Work: They came out to fix one leaky toilet and found that all three of the toilets were not bolted down properly when they were installed March 29, 2012. They fixed them and we got a bill for $95.

See above. Our contractor contacted BC Plumbing about all the problems and was pretty much blown off by them. Since this is part of a larger expenditure I'm not sure what the actual cost is for BC Plumbing. I do know that I will not be paying for all the trips they made to correct their own mistakes including the retile of one wall of the shower. In my opinion the plumbers from BC Plumbing need to go back to school and learn how to do their jobs. They also need to learn how to read and match parts with install instructions.
Description of Work: We worked with a contractor on a bathroom remodel. The contractor sub-contracted with BC Plumbing because they were the ones who would come to our home in Woodburn. They came in and did the rough plumbing and left. The next trip out they were supposed to install a claw foot tub. The plumber told me that I had the wrong parts for the faucet - the faucet was for a rim mount and he thought the tub was not drilled for a rim mount. However, he never looked at the tub - it was in the bathroom wrapped in plastic to protect it. That night I got up and found the holes for the rim mount and the next morning I called the contractor and told him what happened and a few days later BC Plumbing came out and installed the tub and faucets correctly. BC Plumbing did install the wall mounted faucets over the sinks without problem. The shower was a totally different matter. The plumber told me that the flow control cartridge was defective and needed to be replaced so I took the cartridge to George Morlan and spoke with the woman from whom I had ordered the parts. She was excellent and it was determined that the cartridge was the temperature controller and had nothing to do with the on/off function of the shower. There were supposed to be two volume controllers - one for the shower and one for the hand held shower, however there was only one. The installation information for the entire shower assembly, including the temperature controller were in a drawer in the bathroom cabinet with all the other install information. The plumber didn't bother to compare part numbers on the install instructions to the parts in hand. To correct this the tile wall had to be reopened and the in-wall install corrected before going forward. Now there are the two volume controllers and a temperature controller but no hot water! The temperature controller install instructions are very clear about how to adjust the temperature controller but the plumber only tested to see if water came out of each shower. The next problem was with an unintended hole in one of the basins that the plumber said was a manufacturer's defect. He patched the hole and said he would be back in a couple of days to make sure the repair was complete. Four weeks later we were prepared to take our contractor to the CCB arbitrator when he (the contractor) told us he had initiated proceedings with the CCB against BC Plumbing. Magically two days later Clint from BC Plumbing came out, made all the necessary repairs and the job is done.

They sent two guys out and they did show up and one of them got underneath the sink and looked around. The second man just watched and didn't do anything. I was working in the kitchen while they were there and they were non communicative. One of them needed to leave for some reason so the other decided to go as well. They did not explain why they needed to leave. I called the owner and told him they left and things were unfinished. They returned and they were trying to roto root to try to unclog the sink. They tried for 3 or 4 minutes and it did not work. They then did the replumbing and left. I called and asked what they were going to do about the clog as it was unchanged. The owner then sent two very professional men out and they explained everything they were doing. They explained that the two previous workers did not have the correct tip for the rooter. They roto rooted for about 20 minutes, unclogged the sink, and finished the replumbing. They were here for about an hour. When they sent the bill we called and told them we were not going to pay for the service from the first day as it was unsatisfactory and they did not do anything. We were offered $40 off and that was not acceptable. We were alright with paying for the second day and sent $50 until this was resolved. The company then sent a nasty overdue notice. The grades I assigned are based on the owner's actions not those of the workers sent on the second day. They were very good.
Description of Work: They were to unclog our kitchen sink and replumb under the sink.
