+ -1 morePros: The staff were considerate, hard working, professional and efficient. Cons: I object to the cost. They charged far more per hour, nearly twice the hourly wage I take home in my paycheck as a doctor. I stopped services when I realized I was spending so much more per hour than I take home in wages. Their estimate was in thousands of dollars, yet the project remains unfinished. By the way, I have no qualms with the work completed. I would hire them in the future if they would come down considerably on their estimates.

+ -1 moreI cannot recommend Restoring Order enough. It is worth the $ spent. Everything we've learned in this process permeates to the rest of our home/property. (: It really does motivate everybody to pitch in and keep our things 'where they live'. Dawn is friendly, motivating, and hardworking. I would bet the other consultants are just as competent and fun to work with. This is the 2nd time we've asked this business to help us. . .as we moved last Fall. . .and needed help eliminating chaos in our new home.
Description of Work: Dawn came out to our home for the first appt. and helped us create a 'haven' out of our cluttered, piled up, messy family room. She inspires you to purge/donate things you don't need. . .helps you 'purpose' each area of your home. . .and helps you create peace there. Her 2nd appt. out was just as worthwhile. We focused on my son's messy room. You couldn't see the floor w/all the clothes/toys/junk on it. He now is sleeping in his room again- playing there with only the toys he loves and wants to take care of. (: he has his own 'haven' to live in again.

+ -1 moreIt was an interesting experience and I have taken her recommendations into consideration since her visits. I called Restoring Order in a panic and total frustration. Alice helped me dig out from under and allowed me to enjoy my holiday guests. Alice was very organized and professional. I presume all of their consultants are equally competent. I would highly recommend Restoring Order for those who can afford to invest in their services and products. I still need organizational help but I can't afford it at this time. Restoring Order was much more expensive than I expected when I first considered hiring an organizer. I am trying to go ahead on my own. I might hire a mother's helper rather than to go back to a professional firm.
Description of Work: Restoring Order sent Alice to restore order in my life, help me organize a pile of boxes, and a totally buried guest bedroom before Christmas. We had two sessions of 4 hours each. On the initial visit Alice interviewed me concerning my priorities, habits, frustrations, etc. We then toured the house. She made notes concerning problem areas and things I thought were working for me. (After the visit Alice wrote up the interview/tour and made recommendations for each area of the house that she emailed to me). After the interview and tour we had time to attack the pile of boxes, and were able to reorganize items to be put away in different areas. Items to donate, and items to be thrown away. We filled three trash cans of stuff. I was given assignments to do before the next visit. On the next visit we attacked the buried guest room. We worked 4 hours straight. Alice worked along side me the whole time. We grouped like items to put away or to sort later and threw away a lot!

+ -1 moreI LOVE HAVING DAWN AT RESTORING ORDER COME IN AND WORK HER MAGIC. SHE IS VERY PROFESSIONAL AND POSITIVE. SHE SHOWS GENUINE CONCERN FOR THE FAMILIES SHE HELPS.
Description of Work: DAWN AT RESTORING ORDER CAME IN, ASSESSED THE ROOMS THAT WE WERE TACKLING AND WORKED WITH ME TO ORGANIZE. WE'VE HAD NUMEROUS VISITS WORKING ON OFFICE, PLAY ROOM, LAUNDRY ROOM & KITCHEN CABINETS. SHE FOLLOWS UP WITH A 'TO DO' LIST OF THINGS THAT NEED TO BE FOLLOWED UP WITH.
