Did a good job 3 years ago but now,  three years later, I had an issue with the air conditioner Gary Heintz installed. I called his cell phone AND his home phone 3-4 times EACH and LEFT messages at each number. I had a tenant in this house and the outside temperatures were around 100F and the air conditioner wasn't working. Getting this unit fixed quickly was critical. I thought Gary Heintz would be the best person to call since he installed it. I NEVER heard back from him. Luckily I found another local heating and air conditioning company and they went out the same day and fixed the unit for me. I just realized today that it has been three weeks since I made all of those calls to Gary and I STILL have NEVER heard back from him. I just called him and he actually answered his cell phone. I asked him if he ever got all my calls and messages and why he hadn't called me back. He just said he was probably out of town in Central Oregon and didn't remember getting any calls. I guess cell phones don't work in Central Oregon! I asked if he checked his messages on his answering machine at home and he just said he didn't remember. This all happened just 3 weeks ago. He acted like he could care less. I am very surprised at his nonchalant response. I am very disappointed in Gary Heintz!  I just don't understand how someone can run their business like this. After my conversation with him this morning, I could not in good conscience recommend Gary Heintz to anyone. What a big disappointment!
Note: I was hard to answer the six (6) ratings above because three years ago, I would have given Gary high ratings and now after the phone call this morning with him, I have to give him low ratings. Because of the circumstance I just gave him moderate ratings because Angie's List will not let me put N/A of leave any of them blank.

We had an initial meeting with the company when we discussed possible locations for the A/C unit. I believe the man that I met with was the owner, but I can't remember his first name. Heintz was his last, I think! He was very friendly and helpful. Gave me a quote on the spot and applied absolutely no pressure. We called to schedule the appointment the following day and they were about 2 weeks out, which we expected. On the day of the install they were to arrive at 8 am, they showed up at 7:50 and were already in my garage working when I went out to throw out some garbage. The installer and electrician were friendly, and the install was completed in about 3.5 hours. The owner came by about an hour later to check the work, give me some tips, and of course, collect his check!! Great experience overall and although we think he may have oversold us a bit on the unit that we got, we have been extremely happy all summer with our quickly cooled home.
