Evergreen Gas Heating & Cooling

Technician was friendly and explained process for cleaning and maintaining our gas fireplace.

My switch on the wall was no longer starting the fireplace. He made two suggestions : replace the switch (low cost option) except need to hire an electrician if I could not do it myself OR purchase a remote starter with thermostat ($250). I chose the latter and am very happy with it. Very informative rep who really likes communicating about the fireplace and safety. Highly recommend.

Chad showed up 10 minutes before the first scheduled time. He was very professional and friendly. Booties were put on as soon as he entered the house. He worked quickly and efficiently while we chatted. He explained the importance of the annual maintenance of the unit and we now understand so will stick with the program. He got the glass looking like brand new, vacuumed out all of the debris (after removing the 'logs'), cleaned and inspected all of the parts and orifices, replaced the batteries in the remote receiving unit, tested all of the valves, thermocouples etc... and then put it all back together. Our insert looks awesome now and we are confidant knowing the unit is in good shape now for another season. He was in and out in less than an hour with paperwork, cleanup and all.

Service was prompt, courteous and thorough. The unit was not working well at all before and is now like new. Very satisfied with this vendor.

Excellent! The new furnaces now days are like mini computers. You have to have them inspected every year for your warranty to not be nulled which is good and bad depending on how you look at it. We had a top of the line furnace installed last fall and the first yearly inspection and filter was free of charge. The service rep said the correct placement of the filter is very important as improper placement will short out the electronics! I signed up for their yearly contract as it is cheaper and you get a 20% savings on parts and are then put on priority VIP list for service. It is a lot of money but so is the furnace and I want that to last a very long time. I plan on using them again to replace my old air conditioner.

It was great having TJ in our home. He is very professional/friendly. I can relax knowing that an excellent job was done on our gas fireplace. This company originally installed our gas fireplace and I was impressed with the owner, Bill, taking care to be very neat and clean. He also clearly knew what he was doing and came highly recommended by NW Natural Gas. We will look to using Evergreen in the future for other HVAC needs up to and including future replacement of our heating and cooling units.

EXCELLENT. TJ was sooooo professional. He was VERY knowledgeable. Even asked to see the Gas Log manual as all gas logs are different. I was VERY impressed with that, as he made sure he was working correctly on my type of logs. He was very honest and forthright. I will have him back annually, even though I could clean the logs myself. The reason my logs were throwing soot was that they were placed wrong in the first place by ANOTHER company. TJ found one log even upside down! I will use this company for many years in checking my logs. Also, it was GREAT to find out that they service Bryant furnaces as that is what my furnace is. Very impressed and pleased with this company and the professionalism of it. I will, for SURE, be a repeat customer!

TJ was excellent and fixed the issue right away and performed a thorough cleaning of the fireplace. Also gave me some tips on future use and maintenance. Very pleased with the results and would definitely use them again.

TJ showed up on time and was professional and friendly. He checked all components of the gas fireplace to make sure they were working properly, cleaned all parts inside, repositioned the logs, and explained how to turn the pilot light on and off. He was also very accommodating in answering all of my 3 year old's questions about what he was doing!

3 stars for communication 5 stars for the actual workers who did the installation, i.e. Diego and follow up I purchased a new Gas Insert from NW Natural Gas, and when there I told them I needed it installed before the end of September, no problem they said. The first contractor came out, bid the job and could not do it till mid October, I called NW Natural and they sent these folks out because they could make my deadline. They sent out a very professional young man who measured and advised us, he got us the bid by the end of the day as he promised. I was a bit taken aback because their bid was several hundred dollars more for the installation and electrical than the first folks. I talked to Suzie at NW Natural who was of no assistance whatsoever. I ended up paying a premium to have those folks do the work by the end of the month. The wonderful person I spoke to at Evergreen Gas kindly gave me a 5% cash discount, which I appreciate very much. The day of the installation, they were supposed to be here around 8:30ish, and they showed up at 10:30, slightly disappointed about that. They put down drop cloths to protect my flooring and carpet, Diego was so upbeat and professional. They arranged for the Electrician to be here at the same time, great coordination effort. They were finished in about 3 hours. The Inspector comes tomorrow then they come back and finish the job. The next day: Their communication could be better, the Inspector showed up on my door at 9:00 a.m., no phone call to let me know when to expect him. I called Evergreen's office to let them know the Inspector had come and gone and that there were some debris both on my roof and back deck that needed to be cleaned up. She stated she would have the installers come back later today after their current job and finish the install and clean up, she in fact asked for my cell phone number so she could let me know they were on their way. Guess what 2:10 p.m. and they are at my door, no phone call. They finished their installation and cleaned up all the debris. Overall I am a little disappointed in the communication of this company, considering I paid a premium to have these folks do my installation. Diego was a redeeming factor, he was great and very informative and respectful of my property. Update: 9/30, they came back (paid by NW Natural) because my stove is not working properly after installation. They did a great job, replaced the suspected bad part. The stove still does not work correctly, so we shall see what NW Natural says The young man was very knowledgeable and I did get a call this time, so adding a star. **note, the reason my new Gas Stove Insert does not work correctly is no fault of Evergreen Gas, they did everything correctly**

Excellent job. Everyone was friendly and easy to work with. We would certainly hire this company again.

Good experience. A few issues with the trim piece on the fireplace - really not sure if this was an error on the part of the fireplace sales team (different company) or Evergreen, but is was straightened out in the end. The Evergreen was courteous and prompt, completing all work and rework as promised.

We have hired Evergreen Gas 3 times over the past year. They have impressed us each time with their professionalism and high standards! Super service, very knowledgeable technician. We started with Evergreen Gas when our fireplace installation was not performed properly by another company. Evergreen Gas did the warranty repairs and we were so impressed we signed up for annual checks. We will consider using them for our Furnace & A/C maintenance if we ever have a reason to change from Garoken Energy (also excellent)

He was prompt, and arrived at the beginning of the time window I was given. While he cleaned the fireplace, he gave me information on their maintenance program, which included other appliances, and ended up being cheaper. Since I had a service performed with my Angie's List deal, he gave me the less expensive price on the cleaning.

We really appreciated Bill and his work that he did for us in installing our new fireplace. He was knowledgable, friendly, on time and thorough in his work. He explained what he was doing and went to bat for us when the supplier of the fireplace had messed up our order. Our particular fireplace was a new model that they hadn't installed before and we had a few glitches with it, but Bill adapted and problem solved well and we are quite pleased with the results. We would definitely recommend Evergreen Gas if you have a fireplace to install.

Everyone was very courteous, taking care to keep my brand new carpet protected and taking care with my fragile tile I had installed around the fireplace. They were prompt and knew what they were doing. When I discovered that the installation had caused an unrelated gas leak in the aging pipes, the owner of the company and one of his leads were to my house within minutes of my call and promptly diagnosed and replied the problem. I am happy to recommend this locally owned company.

The price did not include the gas log, which we provided. The price included labor, parts and the $150 city mechanical permit. For this, Evergreen applied for the city permit and arranged for the inspection. The installation included plumbing the gas to the fireplace and installing the gas log. The parts were gas piping and valves and a shut off valve for the log set. The installation crew was pleasant and professional. The inspection was set up for 2 days after the install and Evergreen called to let me know about when the city inspector would arrive. Once the inspection was complete, I called Evergreen to complete the installation. Within 40 minutes the supervisor showed up to turn on the gas and show me how to operate the unit. It has worked perfectly since and we are happy with the installation and the result.

From the first call to the last, Evergreen was unfailingly friendly and punctual. They arrived on time, did their work with little fuss and completed it on time. When we had a problem getting the city inspector to arrive so we could use the fireplace, they ran interference for us. They took care of all the details and we're very happy with our fireplace!

Everything went well. We got their service package so they will come back in the spring to check the AC

I am very impressed with this company. Bill, the owner, made a very good first impression and has been very easy to work with. He was prompt, friendly, professional, and explained several options to me. I received an email later that same day with the estimates for the work. That was fast! Marilyn, in the office, called to let me know what time the technicians would arrive to do the work. That was greatly appreciated! Marilyn saved me $150 by making the suggestion of combining two inspections into one. Thanks Marilyn! The fireplace insert technicians showed up right on time, were very friendly, professional and explained what they were going to do. Likewise, the furnace/ac technicians were also very prompt, friendly, professional, and explained what they were going to do. They went over everything I needed to know before they left and completed the job earlier than expected. All the technicians did an excellent job of cleaning up when they were done. Bill stopped by to make sure everything was going well. I am totally pleased with the excellent service I received from Evergreen Gas!!!!!!!!!!!!!! It was the best experience I've had with a home improvement project. I highly recommend them!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

From estimate to final check, Evergreen was on-time for every appointment. Every person we talked to and worked with here was really kind, professional and thorough. Their office coordinated the electrical and permits, too. They even came back after final install to adjust the insert height when we thought it looked to high. Would definitely recommend.
