They were great. They took into account that I have a daughter with autism and we needed to be aware of noise that could bother her. They were really wonderful about understanding I have a daughter with a disability in the house. They were professional, on-time and quick.

I am so happy to tell you that they're wonderful. Everything they do they're neat and tidy. They charge reasonable prices. Good communication and excellent service. I can't say enough good things about them.

Evergreen sent Diego out on VERY short notice after I called three other companies and they couldn't help. He was at our house within an hour of my call. Diego quickly disconnected the range and then suggested replacing some old gas line and a valve prior to installation of our new range. I was impressed by his work and professionalism. He also took the time to explain various things to me and inspect our other gas appliances without any extra charge. I will definitely be calling Evergreen again!

Annual service of air conditioner. Very pleased with the knowledge and performance of the service tech and communication from the main office.

Installers arrived on time and did a very good job. They listened to my concerns and went out of their way to address them. Price quote for the Byrant Air Conditioner unit was $1,400 LESS than the comparable Carrier brand unit.

It went well. This time it was Anthony Tarr as the technician. He found numerous problems which he showed me including a melted rheostat that was also wired incorrectly and mounted inappropriately. He replaced the rheostat and the thermopile and finally disassembled and cleaned the unit. As he worked he answered my questions about how the unit worked and what the various components were for. Anthony clearly knew his stuff and appeared to be intelligent and perceptive. Whoever had installed the unit had been sloppy; Anthony pointed out exposed, bare 120 volt wires and then wrapped them with insulation and bent them out of the way. He was a pleasant and personable young man. Finally, he advised me to install a CO (carbon monoxide) alarm. I declined his offer to purchase one from Evergreen; found a good one on Amazon.com far less expensive. But, I'm glad he brought it up; with a combustion system as a source of heat, CO is always a risk especially if the installation and venting aren't done correctly. You can't see it or smell it and it can kill you. Maybe the price was what other providers would charge but $574 is a lot of money. Still, I'd hire Evergreen again. Note to customers: make sure your unit is off and cooled down before the technician arrives.

I contacted four highly-rated gas maintenance providers from Angie's List. I emailed them all the same message, describing the symptoms as well as stove model. Based on my information, I asked if they could make a judgment on what the likely problem was and what the cost would be. Evergreen was the only company that gave me an intelligent response, saying that yes, it sounded like it was a bad switch, and if it was, the cost would be $150 for the service call and $35 for the switch. Of course, I knew and accepted that it could be something else, but I also knew that some problems occur more often than others and experience tells you what those are likely to be. And that's exactly what it was, Jeff the technician came out on the appointed day, ran some diagnostic tests and sure enough, it was a bad switch. He replaced it and it's been working fine since then. The other 3 companies responses were disappointing. It was basically to just call and set up an appointment, ignoring my specific questions.

Evergreen made room in their crowded schedule to meet my deadline to move the appliances, and found ways to save me money. They did neat work and cleaned up after themselves. Will be happy to use again for any natural gas services.

I first wrote the review giving them an F for coming out to diagnose and service my gas fireplace and paying $250, then to have them tell me that they don't service that brand. After a few emails back and forth, they are refunding me half the cost since I still have to get the fireplace serviced - it's not working. They did diagnose it and tell me what part I need. I felt it unfair for them to charge me and then not be able to finish the job. I find their willingness to communicate and change their position on this so as to make a customer happy, is well, refreshing. I applaud them on their integrity and am recommending them now!

Wonderfully. Evergreen Gas is a very professional company, run by very cool, very trustworthy people. Brittany is one of the nicest, most organised people you could ever work with, who handles the office and the telephone contact beautifully. TJ is a really nice chap, who knows what he's doing, and their entire work crew is knowledgeable, well-trained, and efficient. (Special mention to Shaun for being a natural leader and the man with the answers.) They show up on time, carry out their installation, and sweep up at the end of the day. You can't do any better than that! I'll need gas-related appliances in the future, and will definitely call Evergreen again.

On time, excellent work on my gas fireplace. Very neat, cleaned eveything up when done. Also worked with me ahead of time to replace a specialized light bulb in the gas fireplace unit. Would use again.

Very clear explanation and options provided in quotation process. Very knowledgeable and professional. Work was done according to quotation, started and finished upon agreed date. Permits requested on time. Office staff very courteous and professional. Very quick with responses and follow up. Technicians also very pleasant to work with and paying much attention to details. Work approved at first inspection by city inspector, no re-work required. Extremely happy with the whole process and company.

Evergreen Gas was amazing from beginning to finish. I left a message with some questions, and Evergreen got back to me right away. From the moment they came out to give an estimate to the completion of the project, the Evergreen Gas team was punctual, informative, honest and very friendly. Once we accepted their bid, scheduling was very easy and the team showed up right on time. I barely knew they were there while they were doing the work. They did a thorough clean up, too. They walked me through the new system and left me with a lovely, cool room (which is particularly helpful for this 100 degree weekend!). I'd highly recommend Evergreen Gas if you're looking for HVAC solutions!

I liked their service. Their communication was really high, they always came out when they said they would. There seemed to be some kind of problem with the inspector and the gas company, which caused a delay.

Excellent. We had a senior technician training a newer technician, and he talked through all the steps during the "check-up". It was informative to us as well!

TJ did the initial visit and estimate. I'm glad he did. They requested a 50% payment up front; I complied without protest. Shawn and a coworker came out to do the work. They were within the time frame promised. The work went well. There were no problems. They put gas stubs and lines pretty much where I wanted them. They were the best and most cost-effective and responsive of the three bids I got.

They sent one technician and it took less then an hour to complete the work. Everything was fine, they were truthful and very honest.

The issue was not resolved. Evergreen tried to pay an additional service charge after coming out to my house and taking pictures of the chimney rather than standing by the work they did, which does not seem either professional or legitimate for a business.

I highly recommend Evergreen Gas. I've had other companies clean my two-sided gas fireplace and none have come close to the care and attention to detail that Anthony at Evergreen Gas did when cleaning and servicing my fireplace. Anthony found several aspects that others had missed. He was on time, courteous and cleaned up. Call them!--March 2017

It went great! I got Evergreen's name from the Energy Trust. TJ came out, reviewed the situation, explained that my airduct idea may not work but was willing to work with me for gas if necessary. He also explained the efficiency of going with a gas stove and water heater as well as the fireplaces and furnace when looking at costs. Since there was no gas service up to the house, he and his staff also worked with NW Natural to have lines installed. I installed two Quadra-Fire gas metal inserts and one Bryant 96.2% efficient Preferred gas-efficient furnace with a smart thermostat as recommended by the Energy Trust of Oregon. My original heat bill from electric space heaters was $248. My original heat bill for two fireplaces and a stove was $258. However, my current gas bill for heat, stove, fireplaces and hot water heater, was only $122 for a 1,500 square foot home in cold weather, while my electric bill has dropped down to $72 even paying extra for wind power. I am now warm and entirely efficient under $200 per month!

When we moved to West Linn we signed up with Evergreen for their maintenance program. We knew that the Furnace & AC would eventually need replacing but wanted to give it some TLC before we had to replace it. The winter was not good for our Furnace and at the peak of the cold temperatures on Saturday night the Furnace gave up. Bill, the owner of Evergreen, was out early Sunday morning to try to repair the Furnace, after a couple of hours we realized it was time for a new Furnace. Bill was very honest, he told us that the circuit board needed replacing but he could not be sure that was the only problem and it could get expensive for a short term fix. Bill went back to his shop and kindly bought back space heaters, then delivered more on the monday. On monday "TJ" the Evergreen Tech expert came out and explained all the options for replacing the Furnace and Filter, and then explained it might be easier and less costly in the long term to replace the AC while they were doing the Furnace work. TJ went through all the options, there was no pressure to buy any particular system and he told us that he understood if we wanted to get a second opinion. Having worked with Bill on sunday and having TJ work with us on monday there was no question of going elsewhere. We placed the order for the equipment on monday, and were amazed at the follow up by the office team. The ladies in the office were in contact on a regular basis advising when we could expect the installation, great service. The installation was set for the end of the week, and the installation team were excellent. They worked quickly and efficiently, were polite and kept us informed of what they were doing. They made sure we had heat for the weekend, and finalized the work on the AC on the monday. The service did not stop once the installation was complete. Bill and TJ came back to our house to make sure we were pleased with the results of the installation and make sure we knew how to operate the system. We highly recommend Bill and the Evergreen team for any Heating/AC or Fireplace work that you need in the West Linn/Portland area. They really understand the meaning of service and personal attention.

It went extremely well. We have used Evergreen for almost two decades--Bill and his team are the best!

Bill and the folks at Evergreen have been great. 1. I first contracted with them to install the gas fireplace insert. They were highly recommended by the company selling the device. The work went very smoothly. They crew showed concern with keeping my house very clean. They were prompt and courteous and demonstrated just how to use the new fireplace. 2. I had previously hired a different company to tune up my burner - a company referred by the Gas Company. After the tune up my burner stopped working. The other company did not respond promptly so I asked Evergreen to get the burner working. They quickly resolved the problem, that should have been part of the tune up. 3. I needed to have ductwork extended to a room in my house so I turned to Evergreen. The job was completed as promised. 4. Evergreen installed a new central air conditioning unit. Again, the crew was very neat and courteous, completing the install in the time frame expected. Evergreen handled the permitting and inspections when needed. Their subcontractor (electrical) was also very helpful and professional. The folks in the office followed up on all work to be sure everything went well. I will continue to contact Evergreen whenever needed.
