Description of Work: Cascade Landscaping has been doing work for us for aprox. 12 years. they come every week and do our "yard work". Also, they have redone our backyard including terracing our hill so that it is usable and replanted and re done our front yard. They are good to work with and I would recommend them to anyone.

Description of Work: Over the years, Cascade Landscaping and Irrigation have completed many many jobs for us. I am not the best Angie's list member as I never fill out reports like I should, but I feel obligated to do so for this company, as I feel the last reviewer unjustly negatively reviewed them. I honestly feel these people must be crazy. Most recently Bernie and his crew helped us identify a leak in our water feature. He gave us several options: fill it in with plants or repair and gave prices for both. We decided to repair and in doing so, the price was right on. In the past 8 years, Bernie and his crew have done a variety of projects for us: fixing our irrigation, re-sodding our lawn and maintaining our water feature. We have always received speedy and fairly priced service (usually much cheaper than our other bids). We now don't even bother getting other bids: we know to just call Bernie for all our needs. All I know is that I am the pickiest person on earth, and I have used many highly rated Angie's List companies and have been disappointed. However, this company has NEVER disappointed me and has ALWAYS exceeded my expectations. They are fair, honest, responsive, and deliver excellent, professional service. The reason I read their reviews just now is because I was looking up their information to contact them again for major landscaping project for a new home. I'll keep you posted with how that goes.

Description of Work: They built up a wall in our front yard and leveled it, which involved huge tree roots - in the process they had to adjust the sprinkler system (which they put in last year).

 + 0 moreTimely response to our first phone call. Within a week, we had our estimate and repairs completed. The repairmen were on time, worked swiftly, had the part necessary in their truck, cleaned up and were gone within an hour.

 + -1 moreWe were having some issues with our downspout filling into the ground and not going out to the street to where the water was supposed to go. They did the work pretty quickly. It was an okay job. They were nice people but I had only one problem with them. They had to cut our sidewalk, which I wished they didn’t have to, but wished they went underneath it instead. I thought that they could have done a better job of cutting up the concrete; they could have made the cut a little cleaner. I would use them in the future, if necessary.

Nathan came over and surveyed the area and provided a written quote which seemed quite fair based on what we had seen elsewhere. They started a week later and it took just about three days to complete the works, pretty much what they had estimated. They were very careful of our lawn and other flowerbeds and left it basically without being able to tell the area was disturbed. This was all done a year ago and so has worked great thru two summers. Although they gave us a thorough training, I can never seem to remember how to change the timer or turn it on or off for the season. They have been very kind to always respond and walk me thru it when I call. Nice work!!

The landscapers were at our home when they said they would be, they were polite and courteous, and put in full days. The job was done quicker than we anticipated and our yard was cleaned up and put back together beautifully. I would refer Bernie and his team to anyone.

 + -1 moreThey moved a tree, that I did not want moved. Other than that, they seemed fine, until I called to let them know that a new tree, they planted was half dead. A landscape designer, told me they planted the tree too deep. They claimed that, they only provide a 9 month warranty. The problem is, you can't tell if a tree is going to make it in 9 months. It was a little over a year, when the tree started leafing out in the spring, that the problem presented itself. Bernie, the owner, was not willing to work with me to replace it.
Description of Work: Cascade Landscape planted some trees, moved trees, and did some pruning, barkdusting, and yard clean-up.

 + -1 moreOverall, they were reliable (showed up on the day they were supposed to). However, we will not be doing business with them in the future due to a billing dispute. Last fall I called them several days before our regular mowing day to tell them to discontinue mowing for the winter. I left a message with their office staff. However, they came on the regular day and mowed anyway. I called their office and told them I didn't think I should have to pay due to their mistake taking the message. They didn't bill me, but when I recently called them to start up the seasonal mowing again, they didn't want to do it unless I paid for the last mowing last year. I still don't think I should pay for their mistake, so we'll be using someone else from now on.
Description of Work: "Cascade Landscape" did seasonal mowing and edging for us for several years. They used to operate under the name "All West Landscape Services". We have a pretty small yard, the charge was $35 each time they came.
