This company stopped by my door this summer and said that all of my neihbors were complaining about pest and they were giving the whole area a discount for service. They also said it was $89 every three months deal and I could cancel at any time if not satisfied. I had them come out on several occasions to get rid of carpenter ants. Each time their service man would show up and do minimal work and just sit in his vehicle for 1/2 an hour. After the third time I called the company and complained because the ants were still here and their service men never seemed to be doing anything. They assured me that they would send out another man and correct the issue. When he arrived he instantly had an attitude and I pretty much had to follow him around to see that he actually did something. I also called the company and asked them to come back a couple of weeks later to spray a new area where i saw activity. They scheduled a visit but no one showed up. I tried calling the business during their business hours and had to leave two messages which were never returned. Three months later I still have ants and am still not happy with their service or their attitude towards their customers When I called them up to cancel the service the service manager said it was a year long contract. First time I had heard of that, and obviously a scam. Beware, do not hire these clowns to do any work at your house. You will be sadly disappointed.

Good service. Like it when I get the same technician who is familiar with my home. Recent mix-up with the dates but when I phoned the gal in the office tracked down the information and promptly called to let me know that they were coming today (not yesterday as I had been informed earlier).

I called Barrier Pest Control back in August and they came out right away to spray for yellowjackets. They did an initial spraying inside and out for $65 and I signed up for a semi-annual treatment for insects. The semi-annual cost is $150. They came back another time and sprayed the yellowjacket nest again. In September they did the first semi-annual treatment for $150 and came back to treat for carpenter ants. They are very professional and I am happy that they come back when needed without a problem.

I love them. I have signed a contract with them for a year and they come every three months. I pay $89 every three months. They provide very good service. I haven't had any problems. I used another provider before using Barrier Pest Control and they are going above and beyond what the previous provider did. They have also sprayed my yard for crane fly which the other provider wouldn't do. They also sprayed my daughter's entire front and backyard for spiders. I would rate them highly and would continue to use them in the future.

On 8/1/11, Barrier called to let us know they'd be out the next day for our quarterly service. They came out on 8/2/11, as stated. They sprayed the perimeter of our house for bugs, removed spider webs and swept the eves for bees' nests. They did a fantastic job as usual.

I like the regularity of service they keep up. If I am not satisfied, they give extra help without charging me more for it.

They prodve a good service. They are punctual and they came out when they said they would come out. They haven't been a pest to us.

They come out quarterly. They seem to do a pretty good job. We have used them in the past too. They are usually prompt and always call ahead of time. They are respectful of where we want them to go in the house. We don't usually use people who we think are not good.

I called 6 exterminator services - all wanting over $500 for monthly programs - except Barrier. Barrier had a $90 per quarter program, that included 4 scheduled quarterly visits. If pests reappeared, (3 varieties of ants in my case) between these scheduled visits, Barrier sent someone out within the week to attack them with a variety of products - specific to best method to kill. I called them 4 extra times before 6 months were out and Barrier eagerly scheduled someone up - not second guessing me or complaining of the extra service required. Visits generally lasted 15 to 25 minutes between inside and outside applications. I found the staff to be professional for the most part - I haven't met all of them - only 6 so far. They arrived within their 2 hour stated time window, and performed their job quickly, with good care as to prevent damage from ladders, sprayers, etc.. Their people would ask me at the start of each visit what it was that I was concerned about, and tailored their work to resolve those issues. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Barrier and to give their people a thumbs up for professionalism, courtesy, and punctuality.

They are good about coming on a quarterly basis that I signed up for. They are good about calling me couple of days before they are going to come out. I would use them in the future.

I've worked with him for seven years now and they came out once a quarter. They do a good job and I would recommend them highly. Since I haven't used another company before I can't compare them to anyone. I never hear when he comes but we get a written report each time he comes. They lay down some granules to keep the creatures away and sweep under the eaves. Since we have a contract with them there was no extra charge when they came out for the ant infestation. They are very prompt and they call before they come.

We have a contract with them and they come out quarterly. They also come out if we need anything else. They are really good. They have hired different employees over time but every one of them has been very professional and knowledgeable. I think that they do a fine job.

They come like clock work and always leave a note on the door. They also call the day before to make sure there is nothing else that we need from them. When I first signed up with them, they came through the neighborhood and were very friendly and professional. From what I can tell, everything seems to be working.

We have a contract with them and we pay them quarterly. They are very good. They basically treat the outside and check to see if anything needs to be treated inside. We haven't had any issues. They have always been very attentive and if we've had a problem the week after they have been here, they come back immediately to take care of the issue. Their price is competitive but we haven’t checked anybody else.

We spend probably $350 on that service. The guy will comes knock on the door to say he is here and then does what needs to be done and that’s basically all there is. As far as any issues, there has been only one when we first started, so it really wasn’t a great deal. They came right out and re-did whatever they did in the garden. They are very nice people to work with and they are more willing to come back anytime we have a problem.

I can never tell they had been here after they leave. They are very tidy and come on time. They are very polite. I like the looks of their people and their whole service. They are very professional.

If I have any problems in between service, they come out right away. They do a great job and have kept my home free of pests.

When you are on the annual plan, if you find things, you can call them anytime you find pests. They come here frequently and the staff is very cordial and respectful.

They were prompt. Every time I would call the office they would come back out without a hassle and perform another service. They seemed to know what they were doing. I would use them again in the future.

They are very responsive and I never had any problems that I had to call them in between. They always call me to inform when they are coming.

Overall the people actually doing the exterminating work were polite but the girl in the office is rude and difficult. Rude people cost you business.

They are very courteous and if you find a bug in between their visits, you can call them and they'll come take care of it free of charge.

Our neighbor's house was infested and ultimately treated for carpenter ants. Within the 1st few hours, their ants packed up and moved to our property (and probably several neighbors!). Have attempted for 2 months now (without success) to treat the problem ourselves (easily have spent $100+ at Lowe's and H. Depot throwing everything we could, e.g.baits, granules, spray, etc) not to mention the hours and days we've wasted inspecting our property for ants (most opportune time, unfortunately, being late at night with flashlights). Barrier had good BBB rating as well as Angie's List. Biggest factor for us was the reasonable cost ($65 initially, plus contract for 4 more visits (quarterly) at $89 per visit. 2 immaculate gentleman who were bright and "on the ball" showed up to perform the service. Was advised (encouraged is more accurate) to call if and when we see more pests (after the initial treatment, you need to wait 2 weeks for it to work) and they will come back to treat as needed (inside and/or out). No extra charge! They want to be aggressive at the onset so as to gain the upper hand immediately. The reason for the 2 week wait time is because they use products whereby the worker ants carry the poison back to their nest and feed it to the queen, which is the ONLY way to eliminate the nests. Just killing the worker ants does not prevent the queen from producing eggs.

Any time we have a find a pest we call Barrier and they come out promptly and take care of the problem and the problem is solved. They are prompt, polite, and professional.

Hired Barrier to spray for spiders. Did the job okay, but then kept coming out and charging us for follow-up visits that we did not ask for. When we tried to contact them and cancel the service, the people on the phone were extremely rude and even hung up on us. They refuse to work with us over a very small disputed amount. Absolutely will never use them ever again. Beware they do not call and confirm follow-up appointments. They just show up and charge you.
