Description of Work: Charge was $219 for basic inspection of heat pump and air conditioner. Basically checked the system to ensure it was working properly and no problems. They recommended that we replace the inductor which was fine but was drawing more ohms and thus may result in failure in the future. This is a $20 part and they charged over $250 even though it only took 5 mins. to install since they were already working on the system. I think that compounding the service charge is unacceptable as they should have only chaged pro-rata time to install (5 mins.) is any for the labor time. This wasn't an emergency service call to address the one item as they were there to conduct basic annual maintenance. They explained that they use industry rates. I know that good automotive shops do not double charge or compound the labor time if they are already working in that area of the car and identified a problem as a result of their work in progress. We will not use this company again but will reach out to another local company to give them a try and once again to support our local business. This one - no! As an FYI, the $219 fee for the maintenance visit was considered high but we were willing to pay it to help support our local businesses.

Description of Work: They did a very thorough estimate of putting in a new furnace. They were very comprehensive and professional. I would have probably been very confident with them if they would have done the work but we decided to stick with our regular HVAC company.
