Did a good job for almost everything. But thermostat was not installed to my satisfaction. It is hanging from wall a little. The cost for hvac was about what everyone else was asking.

I was really delighted with the amazing quality of the installation work. The work included breaking through concrete to re route the duct work so that the furnace could be installed in the garage instead of the crawl space. Their work was phenomenal. Most of the other HVAC companies would not tackle this job because it was so extensive, requiring this work with the concrete as well as doing a roof penetration to exhaust the new furnace. the workers were extremely professional and clean. These are the folks to call if you have a complicated retrofit furnace and AC need.

CNWH&C is a wonderful company from first contact to beyond installation. The receptionists are polite, patient, efficient and kind. The salespeople are professional and kind, never pushy but very informative and allow you to make your own decision. The repair people and installers are timely, efficient, kind, professional and tidy. The whole experience was lovely, informative, and easy. They always were courteous and respectful of my home (always wearing clean booties over their shoes without being asked) and very careful to keep my animals and children safe (very aware of keeping doors closed). While they were working they kept their work areas clean, and when they left everything was perfect and spotless and they took all the old equipment with them. I highly recommend this company. I couldn't be more pleased.

9/15--installed heat pump; next day someone from the company came back to "ground" the system which apparently they forgot to do when they installed it the day before (at least they recognized it). 3/16--Six months later: New thermostat/heat stopped working. Called company and someone was to come at end of the day. Secretary (not Anita) was very unhelpful and patronizing when I called to ask for an approximate time. Person came and said the furnace needs a new "mother board," promised to call in AM to get going but never called back. Finally got a hold of him and he came back in the evening although unfortunately the board did not fit our system. Waited a day before someone else came with the correct board but he discovered the real problem to be the heat exchanger which he said was defunct and that we needed a new furnace ("too dangerous to operate the current one"). Salesperson Dave came over and calculated what we needed; he was detailed and informative and tried to be accommodating in terms of the 6 month old thermostat put in with the heat pump which would not work for the new furnace, stating he will see if we can get reimbursed for it. He also tried getting us some complimentary tuneups in the future since we are spending big money with this company for the heat pump and furnace. Nothing came out of this attempt and after emailing several times I never heard anything more and assume the company is done with us. After the furnace was installed they could not turn it on because they had forgotten to get the new thermostat and had to come back the next day to install that (luckily we had the heat pump to keep us warm). Unhelpful secretary, wrong diagnosis resulting in wasted time/effort all around, forgetting to "ground" the system, forgetting other parts, unfulfilled promises, all of which makes giving the company an A very difficult. This company can do better in terms of communication and better assessment of the problem (so it doesn't feel like everyone is doing piecemeal work). Staff were courteous and professional (except for the secretary). The finished product is working okay up to now. I hesitate to call them again especially if I have to talk to that very unhelpful secretary.

I woke up one morning to my furnace blowing out cold air. The receptionist was so friendly and helpful. I ended up canceling/rescheduling, then canceling and rescheduling again and they were very flexible. The repairman was very kind and efficient at his work. I didn't feel like he was trying to nickle and dime me with recommended repairs. As our furnace is going on 17 years old, we were on the fence regarding possible needed repairs or a total replacement. The company sent out someone to assess our situation and I was shocked as he told us that we could probably hold off a couple more years for replacement! I've never had a company that didn't try to pressure you into a new purchase! I was so very impressed!

Salesperson was knowledgeable, candid and had a helpful perspective on what needed to be done. His company is way more expensive than competitors, so I chose not to buy from them.

Did a great job overall; Job took all day because of complications working with the old unit. The unit is working well. They did forget to ground the system but apparently the company went over the work and caught it and informed us about it. They send someone to finish the job.

They were very good. It went very well.

The guy who came was really personable, really nice and patient. He explained everything that we needed to know. Because we're first time home owners, we didn't know a lot of different things. But, he was very patient and knowledgeable. The quote was very detailed. There were eight pages of literature and it explains everything with pictures even. Afterwards, I found out that I could have probably gotten it a little cheaper. However, after doing some research, I realized that the brand that we're buying is a high-end. So, I probably would have went with somebody else had I known that I could have gotten it cheaper. But, I would have gotten a not-as-good unit. I'm glad we did it. But, sometimes money is a factor.

The heat pump was installed in a professional and timely manner. Installers fit a large furnace into a small closet, with only a few inches to spare. They also installed an air intake that greatly improved the air flow. All in all, they did a very good job. The price was considerably higher than other bids we obtained, but provider was closer and had a good reputation, so we chose them. The heat pump is very economical to operate.

The service people have been friendly and have done a good job. Their office did a nice job and treated us very well. The duct cleaning went very well. I can see the difference in the vents and the return, and the dryer is humming along nicely now that all that lint has been removed from the line. Columbia NW worked hard to make me happy and it really came through. I can't help but recommend them for any of your needs. This company cares about their customers.

Big ordeal between home seller, buyer, and this company. This company stepped up to the plate to try to make everything right, including making repairs for free and not even charging for the parts.

Both times excellent service, punctual and pleasant to work with. They just seem very knowledgeable about the system. They were very respectful .They came an identified themselves. They stayed on task.

They arrived on time and got straight to work. They were here for almost the whole day and were working the whole time. Both the electrician and the heating company employee were very nice and polite. They were very helpful with any questions I had.

Excellent job! Eric showed up on time, used drop clothes to protect inside surfaces, and was very professional! Went above and beyond the call of duty providing advice and guidance on the system. They expedited service and there was a charge for that but they informed me of the cost prior to heading out over the phone.

Two weeks ago, we consulted him on a question about another home we own in another city, and he was nice enough to do an assessment for us free of charge. I was actually referred to him through a friend of ours who had used him on a prior work on a business. They do corporate and residential work. He was probably the fifth or sixth person we had out to the house to look at doing this job. It was tricky because our house was built in 1904. It is on a radiant heat system meaning there are no duct works in the house. To install air conditioning in a house like this is a bit of a challenge. The people who came out prior to him could not figure out how to install the system. They all gave us options on sizes and capacities, but they could not figure out how to install it within our wall structures without tearing up the house down. Dave Whispell is the person who came and did our estimate. He looked through the house and within ten minutes he was saying where we could put it. He was very creative on how he figured out on how to place the unit and made them less obtrusive as possible. Their pricing probably came in right in the middle of all the six estimates we had. The pricing for the service they offered we thought was very good. The guys who quoted lower prices were saying that they could put the system in but they could not do the repair work on the drywall or trim. Some said that they could put the system in but they could not do the electrical work because they were not licensed to do that. This company made it simple for us because they were able to do everything for us.

The service man was very professional, prompt, had the right tools for the job, and showed in his explanations a thorough knowledge of oil furnaces and how they work. Our furnace is purring now!

They did a great job; completely satisfied, didn't try and sell me a new system and gave options on how to save energy.

Installed a Mitsubishi Ductless Heat Pump. Knew what they were doing installed the unit with no problems. Were completely done within 3 hours as they said they would be. Cleaned up after them self's and left no messes. I would recommend them for others thinking of installing a heating unit.

We ended up choosing a different product line, their price was competitive. They were punctual and professional.

It went well. The only issue we had was with the county building inspector and bring a few things up to standard so that the inspector would check off. We had to contact the company, in addition to the building inspector sending a request, to get the items corrected in a timely manner. The job itself was done promptly and it took an additional day because of work done by the previous owner incorrectly - they arranged their schedule to finish the job and did not make us wait.

He was attentive to my needs, but unfortunately, could not meet my price point. I went with another company in the end.

It had been a couple years since I had my heat pump and furnace checked. I called and Columbia NW offered two programs. The first was $249. The second was $299. With the latter program they come back six months later to do a spring/summer checkup at no charge. The technician arrived and was very nice and friendly. Wore booties when he was in the house. The whole process took about 90 minutes. He showed me that I had put in my last filter upside down and how to make sure it was put in correclty. He vaccumed up all the and quot;stuffand quot; that had accumulated on the main vent. He found no problems with my system and explained that they would call six months later to schedule the checkup for the heatpump and AC. If I had any concerns to call them at any time.

Our furnace quit working in December, since we also own a pellet stove we waited until recently to have it repaired. The serviceman was very friendly and prompt. Due to the complexity of the furnace it was difficult to pin point the problem and after four visits we finally had a working furnace.Since this was the third time for repair of this furnace we are looking at heat pumps in the future. We would go this company for that purpose as we feel very confident in the service they provide. I would recommend them to anyone.
