GLENN SHEPPARD CONSTRUCTION INC

When Glenn came out to measure window we told him we were in a bit of hurry as we were getting ready to list the house. He said no problem that it would be ten days at most and he would order it that day. We would have liked it sooner but understood that was the time frame to get glass so we wrote him a check. We had to leave town unexpectantly and figured when he called to say window was in we set up a time then for install when we got back. As of March 30th we had not heard anything from him on the glass. It had been almost three weeks since he came out to measure. We called his office and spoke to a lady on the phone who could not find our order. When she finally did, she stated that the glass had just been ordered at the beginning of the week and should be in the following. We explained to her this was unacceptable and she said she would talk to Glenn and call us back. We never got a call back. The next day we emailed Glenn and explained everything in an email. We never heard back. Two days later we called Glenn again and he answered. I explained that the whole situation was unacceptable and he said he was sorry it had not gotten ordered. We stated that we wanted our money back. This was on April 2nd. He said he would have a check in the next days mail. One week later we still had no check. I called to ask where it was and he was unsure stating that he told his office lady to put it in the mail. It is local and should have arrived in 1-2 days at most. The check finally arrived two weeks later. He is unprofessional and does not seem to be on top of things with his business.

They were very friendly when they were there giving us the estimate. They had showed up on time to give us the estimate. They were clean when they had come over there.

They were great. They came in and knocked the job out in a timely fashion. They were clean and cleaned up after themselves. I was happy.

BEFORE I SIGNED THE CONTRACT, THOSE PEOPLE WERE HELPFUL, COULDN'T DO ENOUGH FOR ME. ONCE THE CONTRACT WAS SIGNED, COMMUNICATION REALLY DROPPED OFF. CONTRACT CALLED FOR FINAL PAYMENT ON COMPLETION. EVEN BEFORE COMPLETION, GLENN WAS AT THE HOUSE DEMANDING MONEY. HE WOULDN'T GIVE ME A BILL, JUST SPOUTED NUMBERS AND HAD UPPED SOME PRICES. I GAVE HIM MY CREDIT CARD NUMBER AND ASKED HIM TO BILL ME (AS HE HAD DOWN WITH THE DOWN PAYMENT). PERHAPS THEY WOULD BE COMPLETED BY THE TIME THE BILL ARRIVED, I COULD GO OVER THE CHARGES WHEN WRITTEN OUT. SONOFAGUN BUT HE WENT AND PUT THE CHARGES THROUGH THE CREDIT CARD WHICH WERE NOT AUTHORIZED! SO HE CHANGED PRICES ON ME, DID NOT DO SOME FINISH WORK, FOULED UP MY TV CABLE. WE HAVE OTHER PROBLEMS LISTED UNDER 'WINDOW REPLACEMENT'.

The windows are in. However, my TV cable comes through the bottom portion of a window, they did not bring enough cable into the house. I discovered this at night when I went to watch TV, and had to pull bare cable through the hole which was caulked. (Now my cable has this dry caulk smeared on it. This removed the caulk from the hole. I called and e-mailed about it, filled out a form about it, but got no response. Some of the window screens did not fit well. Instead of sending someone out to re-measure, I was told to measure the screens. Then a few weeks later I had to measure again! I told them I was not sure if I was giving the right measurements as these screens can be measured different ways. Well, turns out I did not measure in the right place, but did not find this out until the new screens were brought out. What kills me is the contractor was out three times after I brought the poor screen didn't fit to their attention, but he wouldn't do the remeasure. Why'd I pay?

The installation took 2 days. There was a crew of 3 workmen to complete the process. They arrived on time and worked through the hot day. The windows have definitely improved the appearance of our home. Our goal was to make the home energy efficient, needing less energy to heat, and to be more attractive. We feel this company helped us achieve this.
