We had not been able to use our fireplace all winter because the fan was so noisy it drove us from the room. From the first phone contact to good-bye I can't say enough good things about Eldon Anderson. He will work on just about any make/model of fireplace unlike the other big fireplace guys in town. He had the part we needed on his truck. Charged by the job and stayed until he was satisfied. We are Senior Citizens which translates to "Old Fashioned" and Eldon provided the kind of service you just don't find anywhere anymore. He arrived in the one hour window promised. Introduced himself at the door and removed his shoes without being asked. He invited us to watch him work and ask any questions we had. He obviously knows his trade and can speak knowledgeably but in a way that anyone can understand. Our fireplace looks like new and the new fan installation is quiet enough that we can be in the same room now when it is blowing. Licensed, Bonded, Insured and professional. We will call him back every year to inspect, clean and do any repairs that are needed.

The service person tried to sell us on a large revamping of the stove piping. He wanted to do a major job that brought the estimate to over $1200.00, citing various fire hazards and presumed code violations. I sought a second opinion (the fire hazards were nonexistent) from an expert on code violations for construction, who dismissed the service person's claims as nonsense. I then sought a different service provider who did the exact work that I requested for under a third of the estimated cost. Everything works fine now, and there's no "fire danger." I suspect that the service person does quality work, but perhaps thought that I was an easy mark for an up-sell. If you hire this firm to do work on your stove or heating equipment, be wary of the price and seek a second opinion.

Eldon is very knowledgeable. He explained the process before starting, updated me daily on progress, and gave me choices whenever he could. He was very professional and easy to work with. He treated this project like he was installing it in his own home. When he did the stone work he was like an artist...carefully choosing each piece of stone for maximum beauty. Thus project took 5 days and at the conclusion if each day he cleaned up the site. I am so proud of my new fireplace and would highly recommend anyone hiring him.

He was able to schedule us within a week and arrived promptly at the appointment time. He was vey friendly and professional. He went out of his way to assure that he didn't leave any messes - took his shoes off when he entered and covered the carpet with a tarp while he worked. When he tried to start it, it didn't start so he proceeded with the full checkup. He took the parts out, cleaned and polished everything, and reassembled it. When finished he hit the ignition and everything worked fine. He could have gone at that point but he turned it off and on a few more times and found that it didn't ignite each time. He then took it apart again and looked at the ignition unit and discovered it was bad. I was very impressed that he carries most commonly needed parts with him so he was able to repair it on the spot rather than scheduling a followup appointment. He then reassembled it and tested it several more times before concluding that we were now set.

My fireplace was declared a total loss from Murphy's. It had water penetration in the firebox and rusted pretty bad. Eldon said it was one of the worst he'd seen in a long time. Nonetheless, Eldon got to work, fabricated a shield part, installed a new pilot igniter, painted, cleaned, scraped and brushed the unit. The fireplace looks like a showroom fireplace and it works perfectly. We could not be happier with the outcome and the friendly, courteous, and professionalism from this young man. We will recommend Willamette to anyone needing service to their fireplace unit.

Eldon helped us through this project from quote to finish! Being retired and on a very low $$ budget I needed some extra help with meeting my $$ goals. He allowed us to shop for used and discounted components to make this work. Not only did we meet budget but we ended up with awesome results on the aesthetics and performance!! Very knowledgable, went above and beyond what I expected. Very friendly and preformed the work at a reasonable cost. Replaced the chimney cap and insulated the chimney above the stove in the chimney and at the top. Resolved an issue with chimney odor coming into the room when air conditioning was on. Also cleaned the stove and the chimney. Definitely will use for the annual service/cleaning and repair needs in the future.
