+ -1 moreWe were very happy with both repairs. The repair person was prompt, efficient and courteous. The cost of the repairs (particularly for the Electrolux induction range) was less than we anticipated. We are not impressed with the quality of Electrolux products, but we are impressed with United Repair.
Description of Work: In August 2017, United Repair Co replaced a broken icemaker and air handler in an Electrolux refrigerator, and fixed malfunctioning circuit board on an Electrolux induction range.

Description of Work: After performing the self cleaning function the oven no longer worked. Two technician came out and removed the oven on order to ID the problem. Once ID'ed they performed a factory recommended modification.

Description of Work: They fix most appliances. Dishwasher won't drain properly. They fix that and found it had internal leak. Give me option to fix or ignore it wasn't real serious. I had then fix it.

Description of Work: I had two table lamps and one floor lamp that had stopped working. Took them in to United Repair for diagnosis and repair. They tell you upfront that it may take a while because the repairs on these are made based on first come, first served basis in between scheduled service calls. If you need lamp repair quickly, this is not the place for you. I was in no hurry and got my lamps back within two weeks working perfectly.

Description of Work: Previously I lived in Washington and used a repair person that all the agents in my real estate office thought was terrific...set a high bar for my expectations. The first repair person I contacted in Salem to repair my microwave was scary...nearly dropped micro/oven combo on floor and the like. The appliance maker recommended United Repair. Randy came to diagnose the problem...he spoke "microwave." The next day 2 repairmen (needed for safe removal of unit from wall) came with needed parts and fixed the microwave at half the price the first man had quoted. Top flight service I would recommend to anyone!

+ -1 moreWhen Randy first arrived he came by himself because I told him my son could help. Later when one of his employees was free he arrived to help out. They both took extreme care in moving the appliances from one room to another. Were very knowledgable and discussed many functions of my appliance with me and showed me how it worked. I so appreciated that they came out immediately... they were the only place I found open on Saturday.
Description of Work: moved a washer dryer from the laundry room to the garage. Move a new LARGE washer/dryer combo from the garage to the laundry room. He also pulled out the large dent in the back that happened during shipping. Also set it up and removed metal bracket used during shipping. Ran both the washer and dryer and checked for leaks.

Description of Work: I took my professional Kitchen Aid stand mixer in as I was having problems with the speed control working intermittently. He plugged it in and demonstrated the "reset" button on the control that must be used each time the mixer is unplugged and plugged in. In his demonstration, the mixer worked every single time. He noticed I was missing the plastic button on the speed control (I broke it about 3 years ago) and he went in the back room and brought me a replacement button. The whole visit cost me 50 cents. I have a new favorite repair facility :)

+ -1 moreThe hinges on the dishwasher still squeak. When they pulled the dishwasher out and slid it back in the legs were not adjusted to the right height, leaving a gap between the top of dishwasher and counter. This resulted in the screws being screwed in at a angle and spliting out the wood that they were screwed into. We are not able to screw the dishwasher in now. When we called the company they said their repair person didn't do it and won't come out to fix or look at it. We had the dishwasher professionally installed and was not like this before they came out. In my 60 years I have dealt with alot . What happened to the customer is always right. We are not the type of people that would try to blame someone for something unless it was true.

+ -1 moreThey were okay; except that they had a problem with getting it fixed as it took 2 or 3 calls to fix it. I paid through AHS and it was regular co-pay where I paid $65. It is not an individual contractor. American Home Shield is the owner's insurance and one would pay them. If there is a problem, one would call them and they send the contractor out. One would pay the contractor flat out there. I wasn't bullied over. I probably wouldn't call them independently. They were nice enough.

+ -1 moreIt's been two months and our machine is working great! I highly recommend United Repair, especially considering their timely response and honest work.
Description of Work: Our dishwasher began leaking water and soap all over the floor one day, shortly after we started it. We tried to find the problem ourselves, using tips and hints from the internet, but could not find the issue. We called United Repair and they returned our call promptly. The representative came out at the time we expected him to. When he checked the dishwasher, he couldn't immediately find the problem. He let us know he would have to take the dishwasher to the shop to repair. We knew this would cost extra but we were willing to do it. As he pulled the dishasher out to transport it, he finally found the problem. The drain hose was clogged with a very difficult to see bit of gunk. We would never have noticed it on our own, and his honesty in pointing it out right away saved us a ton of money when he could have just as easily pretended not to notice, and charged us the money for hauling the dishwasher away to the repair shop. He ordered the new part, and delivered it and installed it in person.

+ 0 moreThe repair person was late picking it up and I had to call to get an update on the status of my appliance. When I did pick it up the door was dented (stainless finish). The microwave stopped working again a month later.

+ -1 morePhone rep was knowledgeable and took good notes. The repairman showed up on time as scheduled with the parts needed. He was not able to find a leak we had experienced - but neither have we since he left. That remains a mystery, but I cannot fault the repairman who diligently looked for leakage. I imagine this would have cost less if I had not encouraged him to keep looking beyond the obvious. Repairman was generally fast, knowledgeable, and efficient. Phone rep was up front about the pricing structure and the result was as expected. Good grade on price is only a reflection that their rate is slightly above average.
Description of Work: Replaced tub stabilizers on 5-6 year old Kenmore front loader. Looked for leaks. Tightened tub bolts.

Description of Work: The dryer in our rental unit took a few cycles to dry the clothes. Our tenant made an appointment at a time convenient for her. United Repair came, assessed, and repaired the problem which was a bad vent hose. I was able to pay via phone/credit card and the invoice/receipt was mailed to me.
