TYLER KOLB CONSTRUCTION

Tyler Kolb is a construction superhero. I wanted to stay in my little house with low overhead into retirement, but it needed a lot of help. Tyler remodeled the kitchen, bathroom, floors, and replaced the windows. Now it is my dream home for a dream monthly payment. If you want to work with a good person that does excellent work, you cannot do better than Tyler. Why get a new house when you can have your dream house with Tyler Kolb. Please be nice to him, he is a gem.

Tyler did not contact me for a month and a half. At one point, I finally texted him, but he didn't text back. When I called him asking about the delay, he admitted he was very busy and hadn't even done the estimate. He then said that he was probably not the right contractor for the job as he usually does much larger renovation projects than what I needed. While that may be true, he should have informed me of that when we did the walk through, and I explained what renovations I needed. He would have known at that point whether he was an appropriate contractor for my needs. Not only did he tell me he would give me the estimate, he never contacted me to say he did not complete it or that he was too busy and/or not the right person to do my renovations.

Tyler is very pleasant, professional, honest, and he provides options regarding what needs to be done.

Excellent. These were bigger jobs than they sound like. Tyler did a great job with both. He seems very detail oriented. Both projects turned out perfectly; better than when the house was built. A+

Because of the damage Tyler had warned us ahead of time that they may encounter more dry rot as they tore apart the decking. Each time he found more damage he showed us and told us what the costs would be. He was wonderful at working to reuse a lot of the wood that had little or no damage and could be reused with a little trimming. He replaced our 12 steps, the base and a lot of the supporting structure of the deck. All of this was done on a second level decking. We couldn't be happier with his professionalism and quality of work that he provided. We would highly recommend him to our family and friends.

The entire process was very smooth. Tyler was here exactly when he said he would be. He worked hard as did his helpers when he had them. He met us at the lumber store to show us the product we had picked out to make sure it met with our approval. Everything about the project was done in a professional manner and met all of our expectations. The day the deck was finished, Tyler worked longer to add some pieces of railing thatreally added to the overall appearance. We will definitely use Tyler for any future projects.

I did not choose him. The quote was for $16000. He was a very nice young man, he was very conscientious but he was too expensive. I accepted another bid which I also got from Angies List and they will start the work this week. Tyler Kolb Construction was 45% more. The other bid was just under $11000 for basically the same thing. He showed up when he said he would show up and he was slightly late on getting the bid to me. But he did call me and told me that he would be a couple of days late. If it is not going to be one time, letting me know that it is going to be late is just as good as getting to me on time as far as I am concerned. He came out and walked around and looked at the project with me. I think, maybe he is just used to doing a little higher quality job than I wanted. I just want a basic deck. I don't want a bunch of bells and whistles. I just wanted the one that is out there replaced because it is getting unsafe and it is the second storey. He is a great guy and I felt really bad calling him and tell him that I am going with someone else. It was too big a difference in price. He was excellent all around I just could not go with the price and I let him know that. I would consider him in the future but I don't know if he would want to come back after I did not choose him this time. I think he would have done a great job.

See above. Tyler responded to a request for bid within two days of our first phone call. We waited beyond the date of the first bid, until we decided we were ready to proceed. By that point, some of the materials had gone up in price. Tyler gave us a revised bid, and was able to negotiate for good prices on the materials. We were in no rush, so we scheduled the work for early Fall, when we thought his schedule would be lighter. Once the start date was established, Tyler and his crew actually started a few days early. We were very pleased with the entire process.

I selected another contractor but he was my second choice. He was highly recommended by a roofing company. He also put a window in for my brother and my brother gave him a very strong recommendation. I think I've heard his name in other places too. He has a very good reputation. The only reason I didn't select him was that another company had just as good a reputation and it was less to pay. I had to contact him twice, the first time he said he'd come but he didn't. I heard from my brother that he was just kind of overwhelmed with work at a certain point and had just lost track of a few. When I contacted him the second time he said he was really glad to hear from me and glad that he could finally correct that. He came exactly on time. He was very responsive, thorough and knowledgeable as well. He was very professional.

He redid deck for us. He was a great guy, good worker, did a wonderful job, and it is a great new deck. I will definitely recommend him to others.

Tyler Kolb is a very competent, good person. He is extremely careful with both his work and prices. I think he is a real asset to anyone looking to improve their home. He is very professional, humble, and easy to work with. Based on his work, I think he is a magician.

He did a wonderful job from start to finish. He was very professional with every part of the job. He took the time to go over the products that would best fit what we were looking for. The job was finsihsed on the time he determined it would be. He was also very clean and tidy.

Tyler cleaned my deck which was in bad shape. He was on time, very professional and focused. It took more cleaner than anticipated and thus longer. He was very careful to tape the house where water might leak in; moved all the plants, furniture, and barbecue grill from the deck to the yard. He did an excellent job; the deck looks like new.

He was recommended to us by the people from whom we bought our windows. Tyler Kolb Construction is registered with the state. His work was completely different from the way we had our bathroom remodeled. He was honest and quick. He had also cleaned up after himself, and he did it really well. He protected our kitchen floors while installing the windows. He brought his own little bag to work and did a really good job. He always came out when he said he would, and there was no need for us to wait for him. He finished the job in two to three days. It was amazing, and I was very pleased. I am now thinking of calling him to do my decks and porches. I would recommend Tyler Kolb Construction to anybody.

Excellent work, on time, reliable, and communicated with me as to what was going to be done and when. Job was done on time and within estimated cost. Any questions I had were answered promptly and in a pleasant manner. Tyler was very knowledgeable and responsive to what I wanted for the deck.
