They have a great selection of granite slabs and remnants. I feel that they were reasonable but it was like pulling teeth to get questions answered and the office manager (Heather) was rude and off putting. Communication was terrible! I assume it was because my job was pretty piddly. The owner was awesome! Installers were fabulous. They showed up on time and did a fantastic job. They were quick, clean and the counters came out so much better than I ever thought they would. The only caveat is the office manager.

The measuring went well, the crew that brought the counter top out were professional. They made a minimum of a mess while doing the work and were very efficient

I chose granite from their large remnant yard which had large and small pieces. There was a scratch across the countertop initially,but they came promptly and polished it out for me. Looks great and I have done business with them twice, both times very satisfied. Family business that knows their profession. Initial problems with communication as they did not have my correct email address, but once solved I received their estimates.

The bid was very punctual, but when we were ready for the measurement, it tookover a week for someone to come out and measure and then it took three weeks to have it installed. Since it was a small job, we were put on the bottom of the list.

The design service was excellent, production was exactly what we expected, delivery was timely, and installers were professional and tidy. I appreciated that I only paid for the materials used, that I was able to see the slabs that would be used and indicate my preferences for which part I preferred, and that they held my materials for several months while I struggled with the usual remodeling contractor problems and delays. In fact, The Marble Center was the only sub-contractor whith whom I had no problems or complaints. I would use them again. I helped a friend remodel a condo on Maui, and it never occured to me to ask about the quality of the granite, as I assumed it was all the same as I had from TMC. Alas, she got cheap, Chinese granite with deep gouges, poorly finished, rough granite that is truly awful, and was only half the depth of my 3 centimeter depths. I urge anyone buying granite counters to carefully explore these issues, as it seems that prices that seem low are that way because of inferior materials and finishes. I paid more than other providers were asking, but it was clearly based on quality of both materials and the excellent workmanship.

I liked the job they did except they also put non-shiny granite on the hearth and they put a sealer on it that changed the color. We didn't want it. It made it look black instead of charcoal grey. Then they had to figure out how to take that off and that took quite a lot of time to reach. Eventually they got it and I don't think they charged us for that granite.

They absolutely knocked it out of the park. They truly did a fabulous job, and were very professional. The price is also very competitive.

When we we decided to remodel our kitchen I really did not know which product to use for the countertop. Finally after deciding on granite we checked around and found The Marble Center. They are the best people ever to work with. They have a large warehouse with lots of granite slabs to choose from and after making a selection, set up a date to come to your home to measure precisely. On the day of installation, their installers were prompt and very professional. They did an excellent job of mounting the sink and installing the counters and back spashes. Everything was spotless when they left. I love my new countertop! We are now ready to do some updating in our bathrooms and I am going to be contacting them about some more new countertops very soon. I definitely would recommend their services.

I liked that they are local. They also gave the availability of looking at the actual project they were installing - got to actually choose the slab we wanted. They really were good, as the end result looks fantastic, and was several hundred dollars cheaper than the 'big box' options.

The process was very smooth and professional. Their selection of granite slabs was excellent. We also visited 3 granite stores in Portland, and liked what we saw at The Marble Center better. They came exactly when they said they would (for both the measurement and installation), and the counter-tops are perfect.

They were professional, thorough, and timely. The only complaint I have, and it is minor, relates to the scheduling of installation, which follows their measuring the installed cabinets. I was told the scheduler would call the next business day, which did not happen. I went in to the store to ask a question, and that prompted scheduling, but it was 4 days after they said they would schedule. When you have been without a kitchen for over a month, the 4 day delay can seem like an eternity. I used this company because I could see the slabs, and they only charge for the actual amount of material you use. They even called and asked us to come in and determine which part of the slab we wanted to use. This was appreciated, as I could see the slabs parallel to the floor, as they are when installed, not on edge, as they are in showrooms. I really only had two choices here in Salem for excellent quality granite counters, and the Marble Center beat the other company by almost $1000. I did not want to go through one of the home decorating centers or big box stores, as they just add to the cost and often use the same vendors as I contacted.

Allowed showroom selection of raw materials with consultation on the appropriate decor to compliment the kitchen cabinetry and flooring. All professional! Installers were on time and worked quickly with no breaks. Clean and thorough in the installation. Very satisfied with the quality of the installation, workmanship, and completion.
