Description of Work: Needed a new garage door and opener installed.

Description of Work: I called and left a message. He called and left a message, I called right back and got get the voicemail again. Done playing phone tag. He never called again. Neither did I. Went with someone more responsive.

Description of Work: They removed the old garage door and replaced it with one we had selected. They had a very good range of options. They were on-time and did excellent work. We're very pleased.

Description of Work: Installed two 8' wide garage doors and two liftmaster motors

Description of Work: We used Superior Door Inc. this last week and they replaced a spring on the garage over head door because it broke and firmed up all the tracking.

Description of Work: One Plus, but then a big minus on this one. Had them out (Mike) to inspect my opener (not working). He took it apart and told me it was the controller board or motor. I checked warr. bk. and motor had a lifetime warr., so I told him I would ck with Genie and get back to him. I went to pay him, but he said no charge (the plus), and left me a brochure on their opener. After ckg the warr. further, I found it would not apply to me, so I called their office and ordered the opener, even explaining to the scheduler why I couldn't use the warranty on the old one. I asked for early as possible today (Monday), and he said they could be here btwn 8:30 and 9:00 am. - I said OK, asked him to let Mike know, and we were set. At 9:08 this morning, I called, gave the guy (Dave) my name and street name, and asked where the installer was, and was told that Mike was putting in another door and then would be out. I asked how soon, but he didn't know. Having a busy business schedule pending today (scheduled around the original appointment), I asked him to have Mike call me. Mike said he hadn't been told of the appt. but could be here at 11:30 to put the opener in. I again confirmed w/him that it normally only takes 1 1/2 to 2 hrs to do, then agreed. I then moved a business mtg off for this apt, and ran some bus. errands. As I walked back in the door, Dave called again and said they throught I was somebody else, and that they couldn't be here at 11:30. When I had called earliler, I had told this guy my name and my street name, so I was now starting to lose patience. I asked him to have Mike call me again, but Mike only kept claiming that he just does the work and doesn't schedule. I work with vendors commonly in business, and rarely encounter run-a-rounds, which I do not put up with. Mistakes are mistakes, but these people took no responsibility - even when I called Dave back and recalled to him the details of our telephone conversation last Weds- If you use these guys, double confirm your understandings with them, which you should not have to do. There are too many credible vendors out there for me to go any further with these guys.

Description of Work: Replaced the entire bar and torsion spring mechanism in my garage door.

Description of Work: My garage door was falling apart at the seams. Horrible crashing noises when it opened or closed. I called Superior with a non-technical description and they came out the next morning. They put one side of the door back on its track, reset bolts, and straightened out the whole door.

Description of Work: Sunday, March 29, 2009 one of two-garage door springs broke after a new garage door and springs were installed five and half years ago. I signed up for Angie's List to make sure I was going to get a business with good reviews. Monday, March 30, 2009 I found Superior Door in Salem (I live in Keizer) so they were close by. I called the company that had installed the garage door for a quote for two springs to be replaced and was told it was going to be $185 for one spring and $235 for two springs. I then called Superior Door and talked to Mary and was told the cost would be $122 and $162. I planned on having both replaced because I am sure the other spring would break a week later! She told me that a technician would call me back and I said that was fine.

Description of Work: They came and serviced and adjusted my garage doors and provided me with two new transmitters. I also wanted some keyless garage door openers.
