Stettler had a techniction at my door within one hour.and had the problem diagnosed just as fast. The well isn't easy to get to with a derek truck (the it is in the middle of my deck with the house on three sides). They had the right equipment and the job was done by the end of the day. The techniction also gave me advice on setting up my yard irrigatiion. Great company.

They came out initially the same day I called regarding the pumps constant running. He indicated that a break in the input line must be the issue since the problem persisted even when the house water was shut off. He checked the well head and briefly around the area, but indicated that the break had to be in the woods somewhere. While he could wander around the woods at $85/hour, he suggested we could check it out and call back if we found the problem area. I appreciated the fact that they allowed us to find the leak since it took several hours over a weekend of searching our woods for the signs of a break. Once so found they came out and repaired the pipe.

As in most projects of this nature, there were unforeseen issues, our well had a carport built over it in the 60's which meant the well pipes could not be pulled but had to be hoisted, held in place, and cut off in 8 foot lengths. They estimated more time than was used, but it took a couple of days to do the work due to equipment availability. This was the height of breakdown season for local farmers. Stettler's sales person, Steve Tracy, came out the same day we called and was extremely knowledgeable. It did take a month before we had water for our 1/2 acre due to the trouble to pull pipes. The estimate was a range, not a set price which was fine considering the age of the dead pump/system.
