Rep was late for appointment. In less than 2 minutes checked air conditioner, told me what was wrong, said someone from his company would call us to schedule another appointment to fix. I waited for 4 weeks for a call that never came. However, had my bill within a few days.

They did an outstanding job. They were very professional. They were excellent. They charged about $3,000, but more than half of that was a tax credit.

After installing it they said they checked everything to see that it was running properly. A few weeks ago it started to get a little hot because of the weather and we turned the AC on and it wouldn't work. I called to inform them that our AC wasn't working and that they didn't properly test it before they left. They apologized and said that they would send someone over to fully check it. The guy that came over didn't even know how to work our Nest thermostat and fiddled around for over an hour only to find out that the AC wasn't working with the Nest. The Nest was already installed when they installed the furnace and now that it's over 90 days since we purchased the Nest, we cannot return it. Not only that, they charged us $135 for the service call when it was their fault that they didn't properly test the system before they left.

Their warranty work finally fixed an issue that another provider couldn't correct. They've been back on a couple occasions where I've lost heating / air conditioning, and after doing a full system check, issues were due to faulty breakers in the main breaker box (requiring an electrician). Each time these folks have been wonderful to work with. I only wish I had these folks install my heating system in the first place!

They tried many times to 'up sell' me to replace my unit instead of fixing it. They called two days after the initial visit to schedule a retrofit with a new unit when I specifically told the repairman that I wanted the compressor replaced. Then, they didn't call me about the repair in a week so I had to call them. They said they would have to order the compressor that would come in that Thursday or Friday, then put it in within a couple of days after that, and they would call as soon as it came in. No call, so I called Monday afternoon and they said yes it did come in on Friday June 26th, but that they wouldn't be able to put it in until July 8th. The repairman said it would take all day and cost $1500 even though the compressor was free(under warranty). --another attempt to up-sell me. When the guy finally came, he was here for 2.5 hrs and I got charged for 4 hrs of labor. Total cost of repair: $600. I called to their competitors during my wait (one month exactly) to see if it was reasonable. Here's what they said: "They sold you a piece of garbage, those units only last 5 to 7 years" (mine is 5 yrs old). I paid $4500 for it! "The bastards are making money during this heat wave and making you wait cause you are on the hook" "The small units only take 2 hours to replace the compressor, and any repairman knows that."

Two fellows were involved in the overall project with installing the new AC as mentioned above. Because our home was built in 1999, they adapted our heating/AC system to help distribute airflow better. I can't describe all that this entailed but I feel our system will be far more effective than it has been since we built our home. I had requested the thermostat be moved to a better location in our home in hopes it improves the balance of heat vs AC. We also purchased the AC from Costco so we will be receiving a Costco cash card of around $350 which reduces our cost to about $3,150 +/-. The fellows were thorough and organized. They also re-leveled gravel to raise the pad to be level with the patio pavers as I believe the original AC was installed before we had built our patio. We were very happy with their work and will be using them for annual maintenance of our heating/AC.

It did not go. Wasted my time.

They were a little hesitant to go under the house due to a pest problem. We were able to get rid of the pest problem and they went under the house and completed the work. We found out later after going under the house that they never connected all the duct work. We were essentially heating the crawl space of the house. They didn't offer any compensation and my husband thinks they were just hoping that we didn't notice. We did send in pictures to the company and they tried to blame it on us.

They came out right away. The guy was very respectful. He came in and did his job. It was really simple.

They gave us lots of options. They were very friendly and were able to get the project done quickly. They were priced better than some of the other places I looked at.

They have been around Salem for a number of years and they have a good reputation. They were punctual. I would use them again.

The job went very well. They were always on time and they were professional. I had a little special request that I had around the pipes. They did just great work. In terms of price, it was good. It was far less than other people had quoted me. I would use their services again in the future.

I was very pleased with their service. Most of the time you get all you attention before you buy, but even after the work was done, they were very good about answering any questions we had.

It was time for renewal because that stuff doesn't last forever. It is expensive to have A/C put in. They have always gotten out here fairly quickly. They tell me when they are coming and they are pretty close on that. I was a little put off after the A/C got put on. It was still cool so my heating was going on. I walked out into the garage and walked into a wall of hot air. I found out that they hadn't completed the installation and hadn't sealed correctly. That kind of took me back because before that they had been much better about that sort of thing. I had to have them send out somebody to come back and do that and they were very quick. Everything is working fine now and we are good to go. I think I am always getting good quality work and equipment from them overall. I have never compared their prices with anybody else. I've used them for years.

The service call went well as mentioned above. As usual, the service person was very prompt, courteous. The unit is in the garage. He removed the electronic filter and cleaned it by using the garden hose;he then checked the entire heating unit and AC and determined them to be functioning as expected. We have found the company to be dependable and to and trustworthy; for that reason have used them in the past.

Our experience was good; we have no complaints. They are usually prompt about sending someone out when we need them. We didn?t shop for price so I don?t know how to evaluate that.

Service tech arrived within the scheduled time, quickly and efficiently completing the service visit. They installed my new furnace last year and I have no complaints about their service.

My furnace stopped working on 6/3. I called Salem Heating. They were unable to come within regular working hours but made a first call appointment for the next day. The repairman checked out the furnace and replaced the ignition switch. He checked the air conditioner while he was here and found a blown fuse which he replaced. I have used Salem Heating since 1991 and have found them to be consistently reliable.

We've used them for 20 years. They are reliable and come when you call. Their workers are knowledgeable. We've never had a problem with them. They don't try to fix something that isn't broken and they don't try to talk you into something that you don't need.

Shortly after the installation I discovered that considerable heat was escaping into the garage. I had to call and have someone come back to check on the problem. This second party had to apply sealing tape that had been omitted during the initial installation. This problem should not have occurred! I would never recommend this company to anyone else.

The installation was done wrong, at all times the A/C and the heat were running and my bills got up to over $700.00 over the winter. I had a different service come to look at it and they showed us where the company actually wired the system wrong and installed the wrong thermostat. On top of this they doubled the original quote when the job was finished.

The vendor was present less than 10 minutes and did not fix anything. Just pulled a few covers off, shined a flashlight in and said, "Yep, it's shot," and left. Did not expect to be billed for a FULL hour of LABOR, especially since he didn't fix anything.
