Excellent service, could not ask for more. Price was great, in all honesty I would have paid more for the work that was done. Would use them again without reservation.

They arrived at the time that was stated. The workers were very professional and worked hard and fast. They cut large pieces down to firewood size and stacked it. Used the chipper for the smaller limbs. Cleaned the yard when finished. I will certainly hire them again. I was very impressed with their work.

Robert, the owner, arrived somewhat late for our bid appointment - late enough that we had to call him. He had a number of bids that day and just got held up. Once he arrived, however, he was attentive and focused and very personable and nice to work with. He looked at the work we needed done, we discussed removal versus trimming, and he provided an emailed bid within 24 hours. We accepted the bid and made an appointment for the work to be done. A couple days before we decided to remove the trees instead of trim them, and Robert's wife Jaci handled the email and sent a new proposal quickly so we could keep the appointment. She was willing to negotiate a little bit on the price since we were now removing two trees at once, but it was still $400 a tree. Jason and his crew arrived right on time and after watching the amount of work done (they were on site over 6 hours), I feel that the $400 per tree price was accurate and fair. Jason did a great job up top in the trees, being very careful to guide the limbs down so they didn't hurt the landscaping, and keeping a watchful eye on his two-person crew, one of whom was learning the ropes. Jason was conscientious and told us that his father was a tree man before him. He is very proud of his profession. When he came in the house to trim the cedar, he took off his boots to avoid tracking dirt on the carpet. The wood was cut and stacked perfectly, the smaller limbs chipped and driven away. The stumps remain, but I need a separate bid to remove the stumps. Even so, Jason made sure he cut as low as possible to the ground. The crew cleaned up spotlessly and other than the stumps and some wood chips, one would never know they were at our home. I would definitely use R and R again. Professional, pleasant, tidy and fairly priced, Robert and Jaci run a solid family business.

Great work, arrived when they said they would, did what I asked. One thing the estimator didn't tell me was that they would need to come back to grind out the roots. It would have been nice to know that initially as I needed to be present to unlock the gates for the work to be done. Other wise great to work with and would use this company again.

Scheduled 2 weeks out, arrived on time, excellent work ethic. Got both jobs done as requested on same day. Chipped up all debris, and cleaned up sidewalk and roadway. Limbs above landscaping were roped down as requested. No damage resulted. Next day I notice a medium limb, cut but caught in upper tree branches above sidewalk and roadway, easy to miss. One phone call and they returned right away to remove branch. Easy to work with, personable. Neighbor was also happy with work done. Cost was as estimated.

The work went fine. They left the yard clean. The only problem was, the Rand R office set the date about 20 days ago. It was supposed to be yesterday, that the crew came out. Nobody came. The crew arrived unexpectedly today, at 7:45 a.m.

I thought the price was pretty reasonable. I wish they would have hauled away the wood, we had to make arrangements for someone to come pick up the pieces. As far as getting the work done they did a good job. They had good personality.

Everything was done very professionally.

They were timely and very efficient. Got everything done in 2 days. We were very pleased with there work and would definitely use them again!

First, they were late. I thought we had agreed on 8am. When I didn't see them by 8:45 I called the office and was told that another project had bumped mine. As it turned out I was leaving the house for the afternoon as the crew was showing up at 1:00pm so I was unable to supervise any of the work. Upon coming home a few hours later I found that my fir tree looks pretty good, it was trimmed and thinned according to my conversation with the owner. My plums are another story, however. They were not thinned by 15%. I'm not sure I have 15% of the trees left. I started with five 25 foot tall beautiful but overgrown flowering plums. What I am left with is five 8 foot trunks and a few scraggly limbs. I have seen trees topped before, but this is something else entirely. My wife actually cried when she came home and saw them. *Update* The owner took a look at our trees after hearing that the crew had not done what we had agreed upon in our estimate. He was also disappointed in their work and will not be charging us for the job. He will also come out to check on the trees later in the year to see if they could be made to look better with some re-shaping.

On Sunday morning, 4/7/12 at 12:45 am our neighbor's oak tree fell on our house. The winds were pretty high and the oak just blew over in the wind. I called the Rand R Tree Service emergency phone number and the owner Robert answered and said he would be at our place within a 1/2 hour. 1/2 hour later Robert shows up to survey the situation. Robert had already dispatched some of his crew to their main office to get their equipment together. Robert and his crew arrived at 3 am and had the tree off our house and left at 4:20 am. On Monday morning the Rand R crew returned to chip up the brushy parts of the tree. The crew arrived promptly and dismantled all the old fencing. They removed all the old materials. They then constructed the new fencing starting with installing the posts. The job took 2 days and the quality of fencing met my expectations. My only problem with the crew was that they had to dig into my neighbor's yard to get all the fencing into it's proper position and they did not come back into my yard to clean up as they had promised. Based on the quality of the fencing I would recommend this company. I will probably use them again.

Rand R Tree Service gave a verbal bid of $500 after a rival company had bid $1,200, so we chose Rand R without getting a third estimate. Because we were the second job of the day Rand R could not give an exact time but thought around mid-morning. When I called on the scheduled day I was given the new estimated time of 11:00-12:00. The actual arrival time was about 12:45. The crew of three (one in the tree and two on the ground) quickly, efficiently, and expertly removed and carried away deadwood, broken branches, and hazardous crossing limbs from a very large deodar cedar. At our request they removed an additional crossing limb. At our neighbor's request they removed a few boughs that hung into the adjoining yard. The total time for this strenuous work was about 3.5 hours. The total cost after the 10% senior discount was $450 Although Rand R turned out to be superb, in the future I would probably get a third estimate for my own peace of mind. Also for my peace of mind, I wish Rand R had provided a detailed written estimate up front.

R and R's team arrived on time to remove an arborvitae hedge and trip 2 large trees. They remained focused and energetic during the entire process, cleaning up debris as they created it. The hedge went out without a hitch, and the trees were absolutely beautiful when they were finished with them. All team members were organized and professional, and we would hire them again in a heartbeat!

Arrived when promised, took the time to consider the best approach for the job and cleaned up pretty well when finished.

A request for estimate was satisfied within a couple of days. The work requested was done a couple of weeks after than during what I imagine is a busy time of year. The crew showed up on time, worked steadily and efficiently, cleaned up the mess, and left after checking with me. They made a few additional trims at my request.

Did a good job. Explained that there was a drip system located by the tree and they were very careful to not damage it.

They were fast, professional, and didn't break anything. It was a great experience. I would recommend them in a heartbeat.

I called R and R to give me an estimate on the removal of 3 trees, and to trim a 4th tree. The estimator arrived on time, was friendly, professional and answered all my questions. I was given a free estimate a few hours later by email. I then wanted an additional estimate for arborvitte removal and fence installation. The following day, the estimator again arrived on time, was professional, answered my questions, and provided an estimate by email. I also contacted the offce staff to ask additional questions, and found the interaction with the office receptionist to be friendly and professional.The day that the trees were removed, the workers arrived early, and had the 30 ft fir tree removed and the trimming of another tree done in just over an hour. They also left the area clean. I would recommend using them again.

Over all they did a good job removing the trees. The hedge work was very poor. It took repeated calls to get them to finish the job. I would not hire them again for any work! If you are disabled or a senior don't call them! If you want a tree removed and can afford them, they do good. Not landscaping work.

Their prices are good. They keep the appointments that we make with them. When they cut limbs they have been very good about replacing our landscaping if anything is damaged by the falling limbs.

They did a good job. The cost was reasonable. I have always had good service with them.

We had a big wind storm and we had some pretty good size limbs that had broken out. They came out and were able to save the trees and take out the limbs. They did a very professional job and appeared to know a lot about the husbandry of trees. They took their time but did a great job.
