It went very well. Found Jim on Angie's list, called and set appt. Jim was on time, professional and very informative. We were buying our first modular home and he had many suggestions. He followed up with a full report on what he had inspected and further recommendations.

We were very happy with them. They were informative in the way that they told us what kind of mold there was and they were thorough with their report.

He is excellent. He does an infrared for leaks that no one in Salem does and it’s amazing. I wouldn’t have anybody else do the work.

It was very good. They have the ability when they do inspections to detect whether there is insulation in the walls and whether there are leaks around the plumbing equipment. They have heat sensitive thermal imaging equipment which most companies do not have so it’s a big deal that they do.

He was good and he was very thorough. He gave us good suggestions. He looked for things that we wouldn’t have even thought of.

Awesome inspector very detailed and informative. He went out of his way to explain the problems with the house, and some solutions to those problems. I have had a few homes inspected in the past, and he is the best by far. Yes it is true you can get less expensive inspectors, but this guy is worth the money. The only drawback is that he is usually two weeks out, that also speaks volumes about his reputation as he is always busy.

Both inspections went very well. Jim is very professional and arrived on time. He is easy to talk to and listened to and addressed our concerns. He was very thorough and we have great confidence in him.

Best home inspection I've had done. Very thorough with attention to details, and the infrared scanning caught a number of things that would not have been observed unless so equipped. It even revealed a water leak on the kitchen floor (water showed up on the scanner) that we missed with our eyes alone, myself included. I was also impressed that the inspector crawled the entire length of the house while inspecting the crawlspace for dry rot and pests (I know because I heard him tapping the sub floor under my feet and the access was at least forty feet away). Overall a great job, and the written report is outstanding in clarity and details. Even the price was very reasonable and I would not hesitate to use this company/inspector in the future.

We were present when the inspection was done by Jim and had numerous conversations with him during the inspection. He explained to us what he was looking for, why it was required, and what he found. He was easily able to explain inspection best practices in a way that had us feeling very well taken care of. He was clear that he was working for us during the inspection, that we were the direct clients, and that he would be satisfied only when we were satisfied. When he had concerns about what he found, he was straightforward and clear. He would take us to the area and show us directly what he was talking about. Equally, when he was pleased with what he found, he would be clear and direct about that too. We had the sense that he gave us detailed insights that wouldn't have been available if not for his very personable customer service mentality. Within 24 hours of the inspection we received the detailed report, just as Jim had promised. As mentioned by another Angie's List rater, this detailed report essentially serves us as a Homeowner's To-Do list. It seems like every inch of the house is shown and described in this report, and every small, medium and large issue is mentioned and explained. We consider this report to be of huge value to us and are fairly certain we wouldn't have received anything like this from any other inspector. We were extermely pleased with both the service Jim provided and the skill with which he did his job. Nothing has surprised us now that we've been in the house for a while, and we would have no hesitation to use Jim and Perfection Inspection again if we needed to.

Jim was awesome. He was very nice and thorough. He even gave us recommendations on landscaping including potential trees that would need to be removed. The report he sent us was easily accessible and easy to read.

We had already decided to use Jim to inspect the home that we are purchasing due to his glowing reviews. It turned out the sellers had also employed Jim to perform their pre-sale inspection. Because it had only been a month since his first inspection he offered to reinspect for half price. Regardless, he did a full inspection with us and for our benefit. He was extremely easy to schedule using his website's online calendar system. His prices and services are also clearly posted. Jim is professional, thorough, friendly, and easy to work with. He talked us through the entire process, calling us over specifically when he had found something he thought we should see, and being available to answer our questions. We will be hiring Jim again when we sell our home.

Jim from Perfection Inspection was recommended to us by a friend who had used him previously. We needed a full home inspection on very short notice to make a decision on purchasing a home. Jim answered his phone the first time we called him, he knew right away when his next opening was but was fully booked for a week out. When he heard our circumstance and that we couldn't wait a week, he agreed to fit us in earlier in the week after his regularly scheduled appointments! He confirmed our meeting via automated email the day before the scheduled inspection, and showed up 15 Min. early to our appointment. He was very friendly, professional and cared that we understood what he was doing. He clearly explained what services he would be providing in advance, and gave us a detailed explanation of what he was doing throughout the inspection. Carefully explaining what was ideal, what our house had, what we should watch for in the future, and steps we could take to address any issues he discovered. He inspected, photographed, thermal-scanned, and made notes on every inch of our house, including the interior, exterior, yard drainage, roof, attic, crawlspaces, closets, cabinets, everything. He was very thorough, when he found signs of potential problems he would trace them back to the cause and evaluate the current state of the matter. He found trace signs of many problems that had previously been fixed, and were no longer issues, but documented them anyway. He was there for over 2 1/2 hours, when he was finished he gave us a verbal summary, accepted payment by cash, check or card (though he prefers cash or check), shook our hands, gave us his business card and told us that he would do his best to get us our report quickly. Our custom detailed inspection report with index, digital photos, detailed notes and recommendations came via email the very next morning! The report is so detailed and useful that it is practically a DIY home repair manual custom to our home! Overall we were very impressed and would definitely use him/recommend him in the future. Best $450 I've ever spent!
