Oregon Ducts Inc

After much research on the web, including Angie’s List and the Oregon CCB, I hired Oregon Ducts, Inc. in May 2021 to clean the furnace ducts in my 15 year old Wilsonville home. I was not disappointed in Oregon Duct’s work. Steve - the owner - was the best: knowledgeable, skilled, hardworking, and just a darn nice person! I know from my research that a lot of companies use just a shop vac, brush, and sometimes an air compressor to clean ducts. I’m a hardcore do-it-yourselfer, so I was really curious how Steve would go about this project. He had lots of specialized equipment (and he used different techniques) to clean the branch and main supply ducts, return ducts, and furnace plenum, and his whole truck is a huge and powerful vacuum cleaner. Steve is incredibly thorough – a true professional who takes pride in doing the job right. I’m so lucky I hired Oregon Ducts.

They did a great job, explaining what was being done, and showing us both a before and after. Extremely professional, and put down drop cloths and corner protectors to make sure everything was protected. We would definitely use them again, and recommend them without hesitation

Work performed was thorough and efficient. They explained what they were doing and answered questions. They also offered suggestions to assist beyond their cleaning services. The technicians were polite, friendly and professional. I would recommend them to my friends and definitely call them again with air duct system needs. Oregon Ducts did a fantastic job, very professional and they showed us their progress and findings every step of the way. I would not hesitate to recommend them and give them a high rating: Two Thumbs Up! My advice is to not shop for duct cleaners based on specials or coupons, better to go with a pro. This is a professional family business that's been in business for over twenty years, and they have the right knowledge, experience, and equipment to do it fully and correctly.

Two technicians worked through the house very thoroughly duct by duct. They showed me how the huge intact "tube" attached to the furnace was sucking in all the debris inside the ducts as they went through the system. It was a loud process for a couple hours but well worth it to get all the debris cleaned out from the kitchen remodel. They had to remove the covers to the 3 intake ducts and were careful to put all furniture back that they'd displaced. Very professional.

The guys were professional and did a great job. The work was thorough and quick. We were satisfied with the service and will definitely use them again.

It was great. The crew started off by showing me on a video what the procedure entailed and then took before and after pictures for me to view. They were right on time and called prior to arrival to let me know they were on their way. The took their shoes off each time they entered the house. They were courteous and friendly. It went great. You get what you pay for; professionalism and quality work!! Steve explained what he was doing and showed me the results as he cleaned the ducts. A huge vacuum was attached at the heat/cooling unit outside while Steve blew pressurized air with a rotating whip-like device that scrubbed the cold air returns and the heating ducts as it pushed the debris toward the vacuum. It was amazing to watch and to see what was being removed. Don't confuse this process with competitors who just vacuum your ducts. I would definitely hire Steve again!!! I feel so much better about our home's air quality and wish I had done it sooner but am especially glad that my Mom will move into a home with clean air!! The cost was $936 for two homes including a 10% discount. (There is a base fee of $190 plus $20 per duct and it took 2 hours per house.)

Just fine; crew was very professional, very careful and fast; no problems; I mark "B" on price only because we had cheaper offers/estimates but I was a bit skeptical about their quality; I consider the price we paid to be only slightly on the high side and worth the reassurance of a good job; we had used this firm before and been impressed that they were reliable and efficient so we went with them; I would used them again and recommend them.

The guys showed up on time to clean our dryer duct and did the work in a professional manner.

Steven and Alvin of Oregon Ducts were superb. For our job, they worked ten days in advance of the furnace rebuild. They arrived at the minute they were due. They fully informed us what they'd be doing and why, then laid out protective materials to eliminate spillover from the cleaning and from walking in and out. They showed us a photo of their system at work - a rotating flail that loosens all the buildup in ducts, which is drawn into their truck in the driveway: it's the type you've seen with several vertical black 'bags' taking in the vacuumed grit. Steven and Alvin have done this so much, they moved with precision and speed. The cost of their service was included in our furnace system full-teardown/rebuild through Jacobs Heating and Air Conditioning, but if I remember correctly, the price structure is $300 with $25 per duct if you have a seven outlet/one inlet system cleaned. With all the pollens, dust and molds in the system after many years of use that we had, we felt this cleaning would be worth every penny even if we hadn't needed it for the furnace work.

They were punctual and professional. They told me it would take about two hours and that is almost exactly how long it took. They use a huge vacuum on a truck . They thoroughly cleaned each vent. They even let me watch while the cleaning tool they used whipped the accumulation of junk off our vents. It was amazing to see the difference. I am very satisfied with their work. I will definitely use them again.

They were great. The service was very professional. They were on time. They told us what they would do and how long it would take. They were right on with everything. They cleaned up everything when they were done.

It was excellent, the guys were real careful with everything. I got a kick out of them walking through the house in their dark green uniforms and winter hats, I told them they were like two little worker leprechauns. They let me know when they were close to being finished and when they were completely finished, Steve explained to me how the furnace and vent system work. He explained it like a tree, starting with the main trunk - the furnace, that branches out to all the vents throughout the house. Oregon Ducts clean out the entire system, they don't go in and just vacuum out the ends of the vents as many of the fly by night companies offer. As I mentioned above, Steve suggested a more efficient filter and gave me the measurements and suggested a few places to look to buy the filter. I asked him questions about air flow and he totally breathes and bleeds furnaces, this guy was full of limitless information free flowing in such detail, it is amazing how well he understands his job and you can tell he also enjoys his job. He is taking over the business from his father in law and one can easily observe there is great pride in workmanship and relationship with their customers. I was given a 10% Angie's List discount which in my case was a wonderful savings due to the number of vents in this home.

It went well. We hadn't had the dryer vent cleaned since we bought this house. The company got good reviews so I gave them a call. They showed up on time and got the work done quickly and efficiently. They did a good job of cleaning up after the work. We'll definitely use their services again to clean the house ducts when we replace the furnace.

Steve and Dennis arrived a little early and got right to work setting up their equipment. The furnace is in my basement and not that close to the driveway so they had to figure out a way to get their hoses (probably not the right word, but they are about a foot in diameter and look like corrugated rubber ducts) from their truck all the way to the furnace. Anyway who plans to do this and has a long distance to cover should alert them beforehand. They were both great about explaining what they were doing as they did it. All my questions were answered. Some interesting items (pieces of sheetrock, sleeves of nails for a nail gun, one tennis ball) were removed from different ducts. The former must be from a remodeling job done before I lived here and the latter from the former owners' dog. Steve cleaned out the vent with a brush from above and then used another device (looks like what you see at the car wash--like long rag material so it doesn't scratch your car) to get down into the actual duct. Steve repaired with duct tape whatever defects (recently caused by a rat getting in to the basement and the ductwork) he could reach. The giant vacuum on the truck was started up and sucked out whatever there was (including a soda can). The furnace intake and outflow were also cleaned and checked. I was aware before they arrived that they would have to cut into part of the furnace to install an access plate. This is shown on the video on the company's website. Watching this first will prevent surprises and panic. I can honestly say that the air is less dusty than before they were here. I am very good about changing the furnace and cold air return filters so I am sure this made the difference The dryer vent was cleaned afterwards. The only possible problem here is that the rigid ductwork in the basement takes a 90-degree turn below where the dryer is located about it. Steve was not able to make this turn so the cleaning ended at this point. It remained for me to clean the rest from upstairs as well as I could, hoping not to drop into the duct what I used to clean it. I think they did a great job and I will definitely be calling them again the next time I have this done. .

The price was totally worth it. They were quick and efficient. They were professional. They knew exactly what they needed to do and they came and did it. They were very conscientious about keeping the house clean as they did it.

Steve and Dennis showed up right on time in their BIG truck and went to work. Their vacuum system is incredible and extremely powerful, with a huge hose. They checked out the layout of the house, got the hoses set up, put down plastic guards to protect all the corners from their hoses, and spread a tarp under our cold air return as they pulled it off the wall for the first time ever. They explained everything that they were doing, and gave an excellent explanation when they were done of why it is better to hire a professional at a fair price ($300-500) to get it done right the first time, rather than trying someone with the come-on ads who say they will do the entire house for $150. Those companies won't have the equipment that can run high pressure air with a rubber end that reaches all the way through the pipes to get everything clean. And they will always claim they have unexpected problems and upsell and end up costing far more than the come-on price. The two gentlemen that came were very informative. They even showed me pictures they took of before and after of my vents. They educated me on how and when I should be doing certain things with my furnace. They were very diligent and careful to be clean not only in my home but in the garage

I used Oregon Ducts for both my home and a rental home within the span of a month. I called to schedule cleanings for both homes and appreciated that I was treated with respect. I have seen many coupons out there for duct cleaning. Steve was nice enough to explain everything to me as well as answer all of my questions. My rental home was cleaned first and it was amazing what I saw (before and after). I doubt that many people would take the time to show clients what the problems are and how the services will be performed. A few weeks later I scheduled my own home and once again I was highly satisfied with the work done and the respect and professionalism of the crew. I would be happy to recommend Oregon Ducts to my friends and family (and I have ).
