Awesome. Emailed on a Sunday. Service Tech was out on Monday morning. Diagnosed the problem, ordered the part and installed on Tuesday. This was during a period of 90 degree days. I have used Melton's for the past 15+ years and will continue to use them. Always a pleasure to deal with.

I've called them so many times to help us in the past 6 months and they've helped me through everything. I was so upset because our furnace went out and the lady I spoke to on the phone walked me through everything and really calmed me down. They are just awesome!

Perfect, performed the install in one day and the system works and looks fantastic. This was very professional job, the service techs were on time and courteous, showed me how to program the new thermostat.

.They were awesome and wonderful because when they were working on my garage, when they left there were no any spec of anything on floor of my garage where they were working. Everything was clean, they communicated well and overall they were wonderful. They are well known in Salem. They were so professional and they work all they long to get the job finished.

In February 2016 I requested a quote for a new heat pump and air handler. One day before installation, they quoted for a system for 1400sf, my house is 2000sf so the quote was wrong. They then tried to give me just a new heat pump and use the existing old air handler. The people installing did not have the correct circuits and it took 4 days and 5 phone calls to get them out to replace the circuit. They did ultimately give me a price reduction. Fast forward to October 2016, the heat pump stopped working over the weekend. When I called for service, they said they would charge me double time, so we had no heat all weekend. When they sent a technician on Monday, he was rude, condescending and told me I didn't know how to use a heat pump. One of the owners called back to belittle and harass me. Terrible process in every respect.

It started out with a service call, and he informed us that our furnace was almost 21 years old. He suggested that we might want to considerate new furnace, but there was absolutely no pressure at all and that he would be glad to fix it if we want. My husband and I decided to replace it due to the age of the furnace and low energy efficiency. Service was absolutely wonderful! Arrived on time, they did the work and completed. Everything works great. On budget, great job! Highly recommend for sales and service.

They arrived on time and they immediately got to work and the job went extremely smooth. The electrician came and went as soon as he got the job done. I am going to have the vents cleaned in the fall. They said a new furnace needs to be cleaned about once every two years. The filter lasts for 9 months. In Salem Oregon and surrounding areas this would be an excellent company to hire. I will definitely recommend them to anyone looking for any service or new installs on furnaces or air cooling systems. Marlayne

Very well the provider explained everything he was doing and gave me recommendations. Installed a drain tube for the AC and explained how to prevent freeze up on my unit.

This company specifically advertises 24 hour emergency services. The person I was able to get on the phone tried repeatedly to talk me out of scheduling the weekend appointment despite the fact that I told her we were desperate and I didn care about the extra $40.. She was supposed to put a message for the office to call me first thing Monday morning regarding scheduling and I do not believe she did. The technician who called me was the one bright spot. He was polite, informative, give me a lot of information on my options and indicated that he didn't have the parts to affect a repair or replacement over the weekend. He said he would pass a note to the boss first thing Monday morning to see if they could get me scheduled. To be polite I waited until an hour after they opened not having heard anything I called. I got the impression he did pass on the message I was told the person I needed to speak with was on the phone but would call me as soon as she hung up. I waited an additional 35 minutes the phone call never came so I called back. I was still not allowed to talk to the person that I needed to for scheduling. After explain my frustration and desperation to the person who answered the phone she went to speak to someone else a man who told her to tell me they did not have time to do a water heater installed. I'm very frustrated with them because my experience was contrary to all of their advertising. If they couldn't help me they should've told me that first thing Monday morning rather than making me call repeatedly and wasting time I could've used to get someone else scheduled.

After meeting with Gary and getting two other bids we decided to go with Meltons. They did a good job of explaining all of the options including talking about the different brands. They communicated very well and were a pleasure to work with. When the workers made a scratch in the floor taking out the old furnace they made an adjustment to the final price. They helped work with the Gas company and the County Inspectors. Everyone from the owners, technicians, office staff were a joy to work with. I would highly recommend their company for business.

As the weather grew colder I noticed the furnace wasn't working. Checked Angie's list for reputable contractor and called Melton's. Dillon was punctual, analyzed my 21-year old furnace, thoroughly cleaned it, replaced filter, discussed options with me and made the least expensive repair. The furnace worked a few days and, not unexpectedly, failed. Dillon returned and replaced ignition module. Furnace has worked fine since. He also provided advice on how often to replace filter, how to set the programmable thermostat such that it can operate as efficiently as possible, given the furnace's age. He also advised on possible furnace purchases next year. Then, he took a few minutes to look at my non-working gas fireplace and gave a cost estimate to get it working. I will definitely call Melton's back to have him take care of that, too. Dillon rocks!

Service tech was on time though somewhat surly and non communicative. Repaired my furnace quickly, then proceeded to tell me "This was going to be an expensive service call". The after hour (obviously inconvenience charge) of $133.50 I was made aware of during the initial phone call, so I was prepared for that. The needed part was less than $50.00 retail. My bill states: Replace HSI (which includes the "$50.00 igniter") @ $232.00 + the $133.50 "diagnosis fee gave a grand total of $365.50 for a 45 minute service call. All in all, it's a feeling of being violated because my call was after hours and therefor inconvenient to the tech. I do appreciate the quick response, the availability of the needed part and having my furnace in working order. I do not like the over $300.00 in charges "Because it's the industry standard". I did pay the bill, but I will not be gouged but Melton's a second time.

We just bought an older home and had to replace the furnace and air conditioning system. We had several bids and decided on Melton's because we liked that they are a family operated business owned in Salem. Everyone who came into our home was polite, professional and friendly. I would be happy to have them over anytime. I would recommend Melton's to anyone needing this type of service. Brian took the time to go over every step of the process and explain how the new system works.

The technician Ramon did a great job. I watch him work, basically because I was interested in the process. He cleaned the furnace and Aand C unit. Tested the power levels and showed my where problem might occur in the future. When I complained of poor Aand C delivery on my second floor he recommended a solution and an estimate. He kept getting whiffs of gas smell and could find a leak on the furnace, so right before he left he tested my water heater and found the leak. He tightened the screw and re tested. I was very grateful, because I had not noticed the smell.

Brian Dustin from Melton's came to our house and spent about an hour going over our options after assessing our needs and wants. We were given an estimate which was inbetween the other two bids we got. He spent some time explaining the cleaning and sealing of our current air ducts and the importance of that. We were impressed with Brian's knowledge, professionalism, and concern for what we felt was important to us. His explanation of the need for the air duct work ( without us asking about it ) was one of the major reasons why we chose Melton's to do the install. On the day of the install, the Melton crew was here on time, explaining what they were going to do at each stage of the process, answered all our questions and followed our directions for keeping our 3 cats from getting loose or outside. The work was done on time. Everything was tested and all areas were left clean. The old heater was removed with all trash left over from the install. Brian returned at the end to answer any questions we had, set up energy rebates, etc and go over the thermostat again. We are very pleased and would use them again.

They were excellent. They were right on time and did very good work. They did everything according to what we discussed. They didn't cut any corners.

Everyone in the company has been very friendly and easy to work with. Their estimate was consistent with others in the area and we chose them due to thier reputation for quality workmanship. Once the work was scheduled they kept us informed on when the different people would arrive to perform work. All of the workers arrived on their scheduled time and the work was completed very close to their estimated time. The duct cleaning was very thorough and the person was obviously quite experienced with the machine and procedures. The install of the garage heater required a new electrical circuit, gas line addition and venting through the roof. All of the work was very well done and the new lines and conduit was well placed for efficiency and neat appearance. The mark of a quality craftsman is when they make a complex task appear very easy. The workers were friendly, answered all questions politely and completed their work as scheduled. I will definately use this company for any future HVAC needs.

They were great, relocated furnace which improved air flow in our home, a real quality install.

I got bids from several companies and Melton was the lowest. Brian worked with me to where I could get bids on the same equipment. The installation took a couple days and getting the propane line out of the house was challenging but they did a great job. I was very pleased with the work they did and the operation of the system.

The meter and gas lines were installed about a week before the furnace. That was all outside. First day was spent cleaning the ducts and removing the old furnace. The old hot water tank was removed and the new one installed the following day while I was gone. When I returned the consultant came back to answer my questions and explain the thermostat. Brian was thorough in his explanation of my options. The entire crew was very pleasant and I felt comfortable having the work completed while I was gone. Everything was neat and tidy when I returned.
