JAS Appliance Repair

Was assigned by my home warranty to fix my furnace, 3 months and several attempts later we still have the exact same problem. It is not fixed. When my frustrated spouse told them not to come back, along with the, "sorry we couldn't fix it." We were told the technician has pictures of our thermostat showing 72 degrees. (Space heaters and fireplaces are apparently not supposed to be used when your furnace is out) we're from the desert, we like it from 75-77.

At the time that I hired this company, the Angie's List listing for JAS Appliance Repair stated "Service Call Fee for Locals is $50.00 and it gets applied to the repair if you decide to repair your appliance." The only good thing is that the microwave is working again. However, the "Service Call" was indeed billed to us in addition to the repair fee for the appliance (I have the receipt to prove it). I mentioned it to them as they were leaving and they said that the service call fee was non-negotiable and did not apply to any repairs. Additionally, after they left I examined the workmanship and the grill vent above the door (which had to be removed to perform the repair) was cracked in multiple places, with plastic pieces laying atop the metal top of the microwave case below. It will cost me some $45.00 to order a replacement grill vent part online. The Angie's List listing regarding the service fee inclusion to the repair cost is not true. I will not hire them again nor do I recommend them.
