hired this company to reroof my house in 2023. They were timely and got the job done in the stated time frame. The roof looks great, but looks turned out to be very deceiving. The first heavy rain I had water conning through my kitchen ceiling. They came and did a little caulking, best that could be done while it was raining still. As the rains continued, I still had water in the kitchen and now coming through in the master bedroom. After calling again and being told I couldn't go out on my own roof I did just that. Photo attached of the gap between flashing and my siding. The bare wood is my sheathing. I found numerous places like this, 16-20 linear feet with a major gap. I called and asked for an explanation, as that isn't the size of flashing I was told they'd be using. They said that's what they had on the job site. I called BS, as I had the correct size on hand should they need it. Then that changed to that flashing was what their supplier delivered. So they installed it knowing full well it was the wrong size and that there were gaps. I am left to deal with the flashing and replacing drywall that was destroyed

Made me aware of problems I did not know about and was flexible to add more work to the original project and timeframe on completing earlier in the day.

Rarely does a person find a service that rates above 5 stars. If it was possible, we would give James Roofing 10 stars for the work they did for us when they re-roofed our house. For us, what started out as a small leak in the ceiling turned out to be caused by other factors. Not only did the shingles start failing, but the roof was never properly installed when the house was originally built, and again 20 plus years ago, when it was re-roofed. James Roofing responded to our request for a estimate for the leak in a timely manner. Not only that, they arrived early and worked every day until the job was done. The initial estimate was for what appeared to be a problem for one section of the roof. On further inspection, they realized that the whole roof had some serious issues. Along with the shingles failure, it was never vented properly. James Roofing was very good at explaining what was wrong and what needed to be done. I believe their charges where very fair. Their crew was hard working and courteous. When it was all over, the house looked great. Their extra effort to clean up the debris was appreciated. I was very unaware of a large issue that was causing a leak in my roof. Cody came out and fixed it same day and was incredibly reasonable on pricing. When we decide to redo our whole roof soon we will be using them. He was very open with me about what needed to be done, how much it would cost, and even took pictures for my records. Awesome company. Highly recommend.

rated above as such, but won't know about the quality of work till it starts raining and determine if the work was done or if there are still leaks on the roof

They were the most competitive bid, used the best materials, and added extra materials and services beyond their bid for no extra charge. The bid process was simple and without the sales pressure of some other companies. Once again, thank you Home advisor and James roofing.

Needed a complete re-roofing job on an 1800 sq. ft. home with multiple peaks/hip joints, got six estimates/bids from companies from Salem to Portland. Cody's was the most competitive bid, using same quality/brand name materials, and he & his crew did an outstanding job. I would recommend these folks without hesitation.

Cody answered all my questions for my roof replacement. I felt very comfortable going with this company.They showed integrity, hardwork,and when done the roof looks excellent! I will share this company to others that need roofing done.

Prompt and professional service.

They have an $85 charge, but discovered my problem immediately on my roof, offered their services and then came back in two days and fixed the problem. In the interim, they fixed the initial leak, but said that further repairs were needed. They also identified issues with moss on the roof. They were both very nice to work with and friendly and prompt, they got to me quickly, same day and beat others that had called back. Some were going to take over a week to get to me and my leaky roof. Competent, and have no issues with being on top of my 2 story house, I would definitely call them back if I couldn't fix it myself.

I do appreciate that they came out in the rain and work on the roof on the rain. They were honest and what I thought was the problem was not the issue and they let me know and fixed what the issue was.

I spoke to Loren and Cory on Friday, agreed on a price and the job was done the following Monday/Tuesday. Speed was important due to leaks in the roof and rain in the forecast. I would definitely recommend James Roofing.
