Didn't communicate at all after initial contact. Asked to build raised beds in 2 weeks, he agreed. No calls, no e-mails nothing.

I had called several companies. The first day a young kid came out and he looked like he was in the fifth grade. He tried to get the sod cutter out and it was bigger than he was practically. It was not functioning. He said that somebody would be back the next day. I had waited all day for him and now I had to wait the next day because he didn't know when someone would be coming. Nobody showed up. The next day was Saturday and they called and said one of the boys would be out soon. I saw the truck pull up with the equipment on a trailer while I was out talking to my neighbors. I live on a cul de sac and he pulled around and saw us all standing there and he left. He didn't even stop. I thought that was odd and he came back and pulled around the cul de sac again and parked across the street. I asked if he was here to finish the job and his English was about as good as my Spanish. He asked if I wanted to speak with his boss and I told him no and was he here to finish the work. He said that we would wait for the boss. I walked in the house to get a drink and he left. Finally I had it and called the company and talked to the lady that I had talked to before. She said that Jesse was coming but he changed his mind. I asked if they were going to do the work and she said that she had to talk to Jesse and I said they could just forget it. The guy I ended up using charged $12 per hour and dug the sod up by hand and charged me $24.

I elected not to use him because for the price they were charging, some of the services they had to offer were not to my liking.

The experience was pretty strange. It was at the time when everything was pretty frozen and I didn't think they did as good of a job that I wanted. I emailed Gilbert with my reservations and he said that he would be by that Thursday and I have never heard from him. I am thinking about contacting him again because I do owe him money and I have more work that I want done.

It went really well. Very smooth. We contacted the owner on Friday, he called back the same day. He had his crew out here by Tuesday and the worked non-stop from 8 am to 8 pm to finish the job because they couldn't come back another time this week and they new we had company coming for a major holiday. The owner is very professional and prompt. He returns calls same day. We were really happy with the whole experience and would recommend them highly.

My only complaints: once or twice they pruned a few things a little more than I wanted, and there was one instance of inaccurate billing (which was quickly resolved to my satisfaction).
