Dallas Glass

Dallas Glass did a great job with installing a shower glass door for us and were extremely professional and easy to work with. They even expedited our order to help make up for delays caused by our contractor. Highly recommend!

While each encounter with employees has been cordial and polite, the customer service indicates the priority is money versus service or business. I have talked with several employees and attempted to tell my own story and each time I have been politely ignored. I attempted to negotiate a courtesy discount or a trade for a window replacement. These were ignored, but no apology or understanding has been forthcoming from anyone in this business beyond one supervisor (Rick). His work was efficient and professional. The service went like this: • May 1, initiated call (and first invoice) for window order. We paid ½ of the total bill and would pay the rest upon installation. • May 11 opened my afternoon & cleared off 4 window shelves & what is in front of them to accommodate window measurements. Two men came out and completed the measures. • May 30 cleared schedule & spaces. Unfortunately, all window measurements were incorrect and none of the 4 windows could be changed. They worked around the external lattice surrounding the windows. • June 23 re-scheduled for team to come out and re-measure. Cleared all the same spaces and cleared my schedule from noon-3:55pm. I called at 2:30 to check on team’s ETA. I had to then “call to cancel” at 3:00 since team didn’t show and I had a 4pm appointment. The receptionist seemed upset and indicated that I was supposed to keep the full afternoon clear since there had been problems with a prior scheduled big window installment which pushed everything back. • Although there was an attempt to reschedule from Dallas Glass initally, there were family health that kept us from committing then. When Dallas Glass called to request payment of the final ½, I left a message that we didn’t have windows yet. There was another gap in connection until December when through an outside personal contact a message was given to the Dallas Glass owner explaining that the business kept billing for the window installation when the windows had not been installed. We were contacted soon afterwards for an appointment. • December 28 Rick came to re-measure and discuss the slip in service. Again, he was professional and efficient. Nothing was said about the external lattice when he completed the re-measurements • Jan 12 The young man (who came May 11 and mis-measured the windows the first time) showed up to put in the new windows and indicated he couldn’t do it alone since we hadn’t removed the external lattice. This was the 5th visit to our home by someone from Dallas Glass before someone mentioned that the lattice was in the way. Again, none of the windows were replaced, even the window on the south side of the house that had no lattice. I had again cleared my schedule for the afternoon and cleared all 4 surfaces. • The external lattice was shifted for easier access soon after January 12th, then the installation was re-scheduled for a third time with a direct call to Rick (supervisor). The team came out Jan 29 and replaced the windows efficiently. I fully support local businesses and use them when possible and recommend their service to all I talk to. I don’t believe that will be the case with Dallas Glass. I've talked with realtors and others and found many have had similar experiences to mine. Find another window/glass person that is local if you want a better experience. There are several in this area. Thank you-

The installation crew was punctual, courteous, and efficient. They caused slight damaged to a tablecloth during installation, volunteered the information, and offered to compensate us for the damage. Since the installation, we have been pleased with the operation of the windows and plan to contract with this business for another installation.

Both of the installers were professional and very friendly.
