Went great. They were very efficient and finished in a day.

The installation went great. I truly thought I had measured correctly and purchased items that would install easily. That was not the case. Jason and his crew had to cut the granit countertops to get the gas range installed. Then cut the cabinets to get the oven and microwave installed, as well as, run new electrical from the panel in the garage, under the house, and to the kitchen cabinets. Once everything was installed and properly working they cleaned up the mess and took all the appliance boxes with them. I would definitely recommend using them.

The rafters in my attic were showing fatigue and I needed the general roof support system repaired/replaced. Craven Construction was one of the contractors that I contacted for an estimate. My original meeting was favorable; the owner (Jason) came to my house to inspect the site and evaluate the job. He seemed to understand the issues involved, his proposed solution was inline with everyone else to whom I spoke and he seemed helpful and capable. A few days later he issued a bid to me that was on the lower end of the price spectrum of the estimates that I received so I accepted. A contract was created and signed with a work date specified. A day before the work date I called Cravenho to confirm and to get an exact arrival time. There was no answer and no returned call. The work date passed with my calls and emails unanswered. A few days later I received a email response stating that they had an emergency but were back on track and they rescheduled the job for a few days later. I didn't mind the delay but the few days of uncertainty was a problem. On the work day, a four-man crew arrived on time with all of the necessary supplies. They hoisted the lumber through the third-floor attic window, cut it to size in the attic and installed it. The process was, of course, loud and intrusive but, thanks to the size and skill of the crew, it was quick and efficient (about 4 hours start to finish). As far as I can tell, the new structure is stable and offers sufficient support to last for years. They cleaned up after themselves and there was no collateral damage to the rest of my house or yard. Overall it was a decent job for a decent price.

I bought this deal the end of August and had scheduled this installation for Monday 9/28. On 9/25 as I was getting ready to leave the house for an appointment, I looked out my front window and saw a man climbing up a ladder onto my roof! When I asked him who he was and what he was doing, he said he was there to install the solar fan. I told him that was scheduled for Monday, not today and that I would like him to come back that day when I would be home. He said they had been in the area and his boss told him to go to my house and do the installation now and that they didn't need me there to do the installation since they did not need access into the house as everything is done from the roof. I told him I had not been told anything about the change and that I was not happy about it and since I had to leave to get to an appointment I did not have time to call his boss to register my displeasure with his lack of professionalism by not notifying me of the change. As far as I know, they went ahead and installed the fan. I have no ladder to get on the roof to verify that, but I saw them taking the fan out of the box and taking it up to the roof as I drove away. I never heard anything from "the boss". That's why I gave them the rating I did and why I would probably not use them again.

I purchased 8 hours. he sent 2 guys that were supposed to do 4 hours each (one of them was a trainee). They did 3 hours each and performed the work fine. However they couldn't finish the rest of the projects since it involved some electrical. I had advised them in advance that some electrical work was involved . They repaired my fence but couldn't complete the rest of my project since they weren't capable and said Jason (the owner) would return to do the rest. I tried many times over the following months to contact Jason to complete the job .but he never responded. In his response below he says the offer I purchased only covers one trip. I have offered to purchase additional hours from him to compensate for the trip but he refuses to work with me.

I personally would not use them again but for the price of the deal it was fine. Instead of 8 hrs of services I received 4hrs and two men, the issue with that is one was very young and a apprentice and just followed the lead of the experienced person. Wasn't a strong attention to detail and although it was outside my house felt that smoking during working was unprofessional.

They were very responsive, timely, thorough and great follow through.

They seem to have a full schedule. So be patient. I had received several bids for some residential roof repairs as some of the shingles were lifting. It entailed either replacing the plywood underlay and/or re-nailing it, then replacing the shingles and roofing felt. The pricing was all over the place and I had little confidence in what was going to be done by the others. Or what it would finally cost. Because of the favorable comments on Angie's List, I contacted Jason (owner) and we spoke about what needed to be done. We agreed on a price range. The work had to be scheduled out by nearly 4 weeks. Jason called me two or three days prior to the scheduled work day confirming the appointment. A crew of four arrived in the morning as anticipated. We discussed the issues and they went to work - examining the roof and removing the roofing material as needed. They then explained what would be done. Some of the plywood needed replacement, some just needed to be re-nailed. Two of the men went on to other projects and the other two left to get the roofing material. The men returned with the matching shingles etc and completed the job. They cleaned up after themselves - 100%. They were polite and professional. They were respectful of my property. The work was completed within approximately four hours. I am pleased with their work. The final price was at the very bottom of our previously agreed to range.

They arrived on time and worked diligently on all agreed on projects.

They did a great job. They were here on time. They had two guys and spent two hours and had the decks repaired. A week later they put up some moldings and repaired the closet door which was a two hour job. That turned out great too. They were fast efficient and got the job done.

Hi had purchased a deal through Angie's List for a re-roof for one layer tear off. Turns out what I needed was actually several thousand dollars more because additional work needs to be done than what I had paid for in the deal. I chose not to have the work done at this time. Cravenho was professional and courteous and I will definitely be using them for future projects when my budget allows.

Work went pretty well, no issues or concerns.

I signed up in August for this solar attic fan. A day or two later when a fellow called to schedule the instillation, I told him that I wasn't sure that this fan was appropriate for my older house. He replied that we'd talk about that before installation, and if not appropriate I would get my money back. He set a date for installation almost a month after our conversation. I waited for their call. The next thing I knew I came home in the morning of September 25th, and the fan had been installed, and the large box left in my driveway. I have several roof vents and wanted input on the particular roof vent with which they removed and replaced with the solar fan, also, coordinating with the size and shape of my attic. COMMUNICATION. I require communication with those I deal with. I called Cravenho, and received no response. At that time I hadn't looked in the box, and because the box was there I thought they'd left the fan in order to talk to me before installing, as was arranged. No answer to my call. I called again, this time frustrated. I did receive a return call, at which time the fellow (same voice as in August) told me that the fan was installed, and I went to look, and it was installed. (large box left in my driveway for me to recycle. Seems that's their responsibility.) I asked about the conversation we were going to have about whether my older home was appropriate for this fan, and he said he knew nothing about the conversation. he said it must be his partner, although I recognized that it was his voice, and said so. He was not helpful, and he wasn't polite, he didn't listen to me and was only defensive, and he said it must have been his partner's fault, and that he'd call. He didn't seem to KNOW about what attic fans require for correct functioning. It's been a week now, and there's been no call. I've researched information about this installation in regards to my older house (their responsibility), and have had to do some work now in preparation for adding vents, and will have to pay to add vents Cravenho was just willing to install the fan, and not at all interested in talking to me about what factors were necessary for the fan to function correctly. Doesn't seem like they know! I've been paying for help this week. And I've heard no word at all from Cravenho. In all I've had two calls from them: One in August, to set a date, and one a week ago in response to my call after the installation. BTW, I had asked about a federal or state 30% rebate, and they knew nothing about it. It seems to me that due to our hot summer, they just wanted to sell and install these fans, with no concern about the factors necessary, the use of the fan, or even the environmental energy concerns/rebate. Now I have the fan and have to pay to do some repair so that it can function correctly. I gave the company a FAIR on price, however the price should have involved TALKING to me and discussing what was needed for the correctly functioning. The company is NOT punctual in communications, and it was not right to install the fan without talking to me as they said they would.

The first day, they were a little late and left a little early, which was fine because they were coming back the next day and the owner said he would factor in the one work hour in the total cost. The owner told me they would be come back the next day at 7am which meant I was up by 6:30am. They didn't show until 9am siting they had another job. The owner also failed to communicate the one work hour credit to the workers and so when I mentioned it when we were settling the final bill, one of the workers became angry, retreated into my garage to call his boss which seemed aggressive. He argued with me which I think is improper and unprofessional, since his employer made the decision. The workers also told me it would be best to replace the entire outside wall and I purchased enough material to do just that, however after four work hours on the siding, they only replaced a quarter of the wall. They did a good job of putting the backerboard in the bathroom. I think I should have been clearer about our front door problem because it really isn't much better. I thought they would rehang the front door to fix it instead of planing the top of it. Our deadbolt doesn't work now and we are hiring another contractor to do much more work, including rehanging the front door. The owner, failing to communicate effectively with his workers, the unprofessional behavior at the end, the quality of work done, I won't hire them again. I think buying the 4 hours plus additional time was my huge mistake. In the future I will be getting proper estimates with a full write up and a well understood action plan. Mostly, I've had great success using Angieslist and this was my first disappointing experience.

I purchased a 8 hour service. 2 men were sent out for 4 hours. The arrived on the day that we scheduled and went right to work. The tile work was something they had not planned on doing, but they had no issues getting it done. They went over their allotted time, but I was aware of it and spoke with their boss, Jason and we worked out prior in order to be on the decision of adding extra time that would cost me extra money. Both my husband and I are very pleased with the work and I have more to do's on my list for them. I have been looking for someone I can count on to do work around here and think I have found the right people. Cost per hour was what I had expected. They two that showed up to do the work, were polite and kept me informed on what their plans were in getting the jobs done.

Everything went as described in the purchase and the service was better than anticipated.

First of all the guys bent over backwards to fit me into a busy schedule. They called prior to showing up and arrived on time and ready to go. After sizing up the situation Jason and Tim methodically went to work. In spite of never having done a project like this before, they tackled the task thoughtfully and safely. It is important to note that ladder work was involved and in every instance proper safety precautions, including having a spotter at the ladder, were taken. Communication from ladder to ground were crisp, clear, and timely; there was never any question of what was going to happen next, and nothing was undertaken until anyone on the ground was clear and safe. And while this project may have been a "first" of kind for this team their overall competence and flexibility showed that they are highly experienced professionals. The job required problem solving, teamwork, and adaptability. At all times these guys were polite and maintained a good sense of humor. They even bantered with curious neighbors who were observing the work and wondering what the project was all about. In this day and age we are used to marginal service from disinterested employees. The Cravenho Construction and Building team understands the importance of customer service. They were very professional and did an outstanding job. Jason was also very prompt in returning e-mails and phone calls. He started the work almost immediately after I signed up for the service . I received three bids and his was by far the lowest. The roof was installed in less them 5 days. I have renters who live at the property and he was great at accommodating them. He went above and beyond.

Provider came right on time. They let us know they were there, but really stayed out of our hair. They installed the attic fan quickly and cleaned up. He then showed me all the paperwork and how it worked. It was a really easy interaction.

Never returned my phone call. Left a detailed phone message and stated my phone number twice.

Friendly, competent two-man crew did it all in four hours -- 8 man hours. Painting was first-class and tricky hinges went in fast and work fine. They worked out a solution to the plumbing problem, bought the material and installed in quickly and neatly, making the whole installation easy to drain. The faucet sprang a leak almost the minute they left -- not their work. They came back as soon as they were contacted and fixed it. A good experience with people who can do many things and like to do them well. Cravenho was easy to reach, maintained good contact before and after doing the work, and were apleasure to deal with.

These guys were great! They arrived on time and got to work very quickly. Their workmanship was very good and they were good problem solvers when an additional problem arose. They were friendly, polite and did a great job cleaning up. We are hiring them again!

They did electrical - fixtures and outlets. Bathroom fixtures and shelving. And a few other things.

Excellent service. Jason took care of all the needed work quickly and efficiently. He responded quickly and arrived when scheduled.

Great. Jason is great to work with, professional and knowledgeable. Will be doing additional jobs for us.
