CHEM DRY OF SALEM

They ruined my furniture. I requested a service person who had worked with the brand of my furniture since it requires specific handling. I was assured that they would send someone who was experienced with my requested service. When the serviceman showed up I asked again if he had the experience I required. He assured me that he did. Then he proceeded to place the cushions on the floor to clean them. Ridiculous! My furniture were absolutely soaked when he left! I called the office manager who explained the person working in my home was new but he had told him how to clean my furniture. EXTREMELY POOR AND UNPROFESSIONAL!!! I'll NEVER use them again and do not recommend them.

I have hired Chem Dry of Salem probably a dozen times over the years and they have never disappointed. Always on time, always professional, always provide costs up front. In this instance, yesterday when I called, I was scheduled for the next day, today. Technician showed up on time, was very friendly, smiling, but not insincere. He was polite to my special needs son who pestered him a few times. Carpet, which is 10 years old in a high traffic area was very clean. Tech explained and pointed out stains that were set and traffic areas that he was unable to clean, rather than trying to hide this. Very up-front. He didn't try to sell me anything I didn't want. This is huge for me. I can't stand it when a business offers a great price for something, but then hounds you to buy a bunch of add-ons! All costs here were up front. I have used other carpet services, and even other Chem Dry services, but the Salem Chem Dry has been the most consistent and trustworthy over time.
