I waited 3 hours for a job I was told would take an hour. At 9:30 pm my car was finally ready to drive home. The new stereo looked great in the dark. The next day when the sun was out I noticed the cracks and chips in the wood grain laminated dash parts that they had to remove to put the stereo in. I called the shop and told them about the damage and they told me to bring it in. Upon seeing the dash they agreed to my assessment and said they would find a replacements for the damaged components. One, two, three months passed with no word from Car Toys. I began calling them at this time to try and expedite the matter. They said someone was trying to find the parts but wasn't having any luck. More time passed then Car Toys asked if I would mind if they used some type of after market dash kit. I said I wouldn't mind as long as it looked as good as the original dash. They replaced the two parts they damaged and left the rest of the original dash in place. The after market dash pieces they installed didn't fit properly, they were not even remotely close to being the same color or texture, and looked cheap compared to the rest of the dash. Again, they said they would fix the problem. Another 3 months passed and this time I contacted the regional manager. We met in a parking lot shortly after I spoke to him. He took one look and agreed that my dash was messed up. He then said he would put his best guy on it. 3 months later my dash was still not repaired. It seems nobody could find the parts or anyone that could manufacture them. The damage was assessed at $1,100. They promised to cut me a check for this amount to make things right. A month later I called to find out why my check hadn't arrived. I was informed that they needed an invoice from the place I had the work done before they could cut me a check. I said I was waiting for the check so I could use that money to have the work performed. Fortunately, I had the money needed to get the repair done (I think they counted on me not being able to afford the repair so they didn't have to reimburse me). Within 2 weeks I found a shop that manufactured the dash parts for my car and installed them as well. What took them over a year to not complete I had finished in two weeks time. I sent Car Toys the invoice and much to my surprise they did send me a check for $1,100... It only took them another month.
Description of Work: I had a car stereo installed in my Acura RL.

My experience here was not a good one to put it nicely. First of all I dropped off the car at 8 am and didn't get it back until 5pm. They originally said it was only supposed to take a few hours. They also said that the cars would be worked on by a first come, first serve basis. That was not true. People would come in after me and their car would be finished before mine was. When they finally came around with the car and said it was done, they did not show me how to use the new stereo and sent me off with a sub that was not even hooked up. I returned the next day because the speaker system (including the sub) sounded worse than what came stock on the car so I knew something was wrong. They took the car in the back and realized that they did not hook up the sub. I had to come back another time within the same week because there was hissing noise that occurred throughout the speaker system whenever the RPM would accelerate. I was not able to talk to the original salesman who helped me, so I had to explain the story all over again. To fix the hissing I had to pay another hundred dollars for an option that was not explained to me in the first place. While I was waiting around one of the older salesmen came up to me and asked me what was going on because he had seen me in here multiple times within the same week. I explained to him what was going on, and he was actually helpful and reduced the price that I had to pay. All in all, communication in this store is not good. The salesmen and the people working on the cars need to communicate more about what is going on. They also need to explain every option that the customer has so they know exactly what they want. If I've known about their lack of quality I would've spent my money somewhere else.

VERY BADLY
Description of Work: Bought a Syrius Radio and had it for about 90 days and the antenna failed. They wanted about $90 to replace it and after fighting over the price they finally did it for free. After a year it failed again and they changed the place where it was installed. Both times they tried and succeeded the second time they sold me new rear speakers They never got the radio fixed. I finally got it fixed at another place and will NEVER enter this store again. It is really a BAIT AND SWITCH BUSINESS.
