Description of Work: The service call consisted with an inspection of our older model refrigerator to determine why it was not freezing/cooling appropriately.

+ -1 moreWhen the first repair service (Dick's Appliance Center) told me I needed a new compressor, it was bad news. They said it was going to cost between $500 to $700 and I would lose my fridge for at least a week while it was in the shop. We're having a wedding in 5 days and I couldn't be without a fridge! I called Capital City Appliance and they were enormously helpful. Not only did they make the correct diagnosis and repair the fridge in about 15 minutes, they were willing to loan me a fridge if it had been necessary to take mine to the shop. They were patient and helpful over the phone and very generous in offering the loan of a fridge to get me through the wedding. I will definitely call them next time!
Description of Work: My Amana "French door" refrigerator stopped working. Another repair service diagnosed the problem as a faulty compressor but said they could not complete the repair of such a major system. Capital City Appliance then came out and determined the problem was a faulty relay switch, not the compressor. They replaced the switch and the fridge started working immediately.

+ 0 morehere was a release button we didn't know about that after studying the older model stove for a few moments the repairman remembered, reached over and voila! Problem solved. We had purchased our washer and dryer from this company and they were great about delivery and set up, so we called in a panic when the stove purchased with the house malfunctioned. Such a relief to have local response! On second visit, small locally owned business, been here years and years. Offers used and new and very good service.
Description of Work: Our oven locked "open". A repairman came to repair, replace, whatever it took to get us up and running ($40). On second visit, purchased Crosley new washer & dryer. They delivered and installed. Checked the dryer venting, installed new ($400).
