+ -1 moreI had a family living in my basement and there were a lot of people taking showers. It was a really bad clog and I couldn't take care of it with Drano so they had to come out. Budget Rooter is always reasonable. They charged me like maybe $60 to do that. They were in there maybe a half hour. He said they removed a small rodent. He was kidding of course but he did pull out a lot of hair. It was not anything I could not do on my own and I know another plumber would have charged me more.
Description of Work: They unclogged the drain in the shower. It was just really bad.

+ -1 moreCame home from vacation to find water covering water meter cover. Opened the meter box and discovered an active leak. Called city and they came out verified it was my issue. I called Budget Rooter and they were at my house 20 minutes after the call. (Other A list plumbers couldn't fit me in.) It wasn't a complicated fix but I just got home and had to shut off the water to the house. Very good to work with. Highly recommend them for work on my house.

Description of Work: Well... I had a pipe broken some place the house. While there was no water under the house... the hand on the water meter was just a blur. When I turned the water off on the feed line at the entry point into the house it stopped. Called the company I had used for 50 years. Oh - they said.. this is Friday afternoon! We can't send anyone out before Monday and we are booked up for all of next week! I ask who they might suggest. I told them I can't live in a house without water. They said you will just have to call around! And then they said "GOOG BY"! Well I did CALL AROUND. It was now 4:30 and I had called 5 plumbers with no success. Budget said their "ON CALL" plumber could be there by 5:00PM! I told him what I had done to isolate the location. He crawled under the house... all Dry! He walked through the house listening for running water...then in the utility room.. he heard it running under the slab floor! He cut and capped the feed pipe to the room. That little red hand on the meter stopped spinning! I pulled the utility sink and cabinet away from the wall. He cut(not jack hammered) a hole where the sink base had been about 16" x 22"... cut the old pipe loose, attached new pipe to the old and pulled the two pipes (hot and cold) with the new pipe under the concrete floor. With the new pipes attached he insulated the hot water pipe then poured concrete which he trawled perfectly! No damage to the vinyl floor covering! When they left it was like there had never been a problem! They had covered the wall with plastic and set up a protective shield. With a hose connected to the saw and a wet/dry vacuum the area was clean! Brad and Billy were on time, very nice, professional, got into the job without wasting time. Though the pipe was cut and capped on the first call and they came back to complete the job.. they had this home owner who was frantic to get the water leak shut off and then to get the burst pipe removed. Brad could hear the water running under the slab!! I couldn't hear it! How did I know to look for a water leak?? Just an hour before I called my old plumber I opened my water bill and about collapsed on the floor! It was about $243.00 for one month! YEP!! BUDGET HAS A NEW CUSTOMER FOR LIFE! REALLY-REALLY NICE PEOPLE - WHO COULD UNDERSTAND AND FEEL THEIR CUSTOMER's PLIGHT AND TO TAKE CARE OF THEIR CUSTOMER'S CONCERN QUICKLEY! THANK YOU BUDGET... BRAND AND BILLY!!

+ -1 moreIt is not leaking and we really like him. We recommended him to a friend. This guy is willing to explain things as he goes along and his work is really good. I love what he did to my under sink in the kitchen. I have had that worked on so many times. He put a new system in at a fairly reasonable price. He did it in a mostly manner and he was worth every penny.
Description of Work: He did a sink. Our sink backed in our laundry and he came in and put a different type of thing.

+ -1 moreTook too long, told me the faucet I had purchased was faulty. My son told him he probably needed to tighten the faucet as it probably was loosened in shipment. I paid for him to install it, test it, remove it, and then tighten it and re-install. Received $42.00 refund. The faucet I purchased was over $250.00 and I was quite upset almost to the point of tears as I had purchased the faucet online. Not very professional.

Brad is very good at explaining procedures and options without putting any pressure on his clients (he's patient, too). We felt very comfortable having them in our house for the two days the project took and the crew went above and beyond to finish a difficult task in those two days (the crawl space under our house is challenging at best). We're extremely happy with the results and would use Budget Rooter again with no hesitation.
Description of Work: Completely "re-piped" our house, replacing old (1957) galvanized water pipes with new PEX-type piping. The work started from our water meter and on into and throughout the house and included new tub/shower fixtures.

Now all I have to do is put this root killer, foamy root killer, in every 3 to 4 months to keep the tree down or I can just chop the tree down. Their price wasn't bad and they actually took care of their problem. I liked their attitude. They came in, didn't take their time, and they didn't act stupid. They were very professional and really nice. I was really happy with them. It took them 24 hours to come out versus the other company was able to come out right away. I would prefer that they come out faster.
Description of Work: I used Budget Rooter Plumbing Service. I had another plumber come in on an emergency situation and he was inept and shouldn't be working as a plumber. He was extremely slow and the only thing he did was dig up my flower beds. I then went inside and immediately called Budget Rooter Plumbing Service. They came out the next day, immediately go under the house, and within 10 minutes find the correct pipe, and dig one hole right where the leak is at. Then they go on the roof and do the snake thing and flush out the toilet so everything is draining. Then they go from the outlet at the front of the house to the street. They saw a root ball between a tree and the street that they cleared for me.

Description of Work: Our drain was totally backed up to the street. Budget Rooter came right away and cleaned the entire line. The technician also made a recommendation to "camera" the line since he believes there are dips in it (house was built in 1895, so there are probably issues out there).

He knew about our leaky faucet as a side issue and fixed that, then asked if he could do anything else for us. I told him about a problem flushing a fairly new 2-button toilet installed by a contractor during a remodel and asked if there was a trick to getting it to stop running after flushing. He checked and found that the inner parts were not good quality and could not be easily adjusted. He replaced those with our permission and the toilet has worked beautifully since with a much more secure flush mechanism.
Description of Work: Replaced a kitchen sink, fixed a leaky faucet, and replaced parts in a fairly new toilet.

+ -1 moreThey did really well. I didn't know what happened to my refrigerator at first but I had water going all over my floor, kitchen and family room. I was on the phone trying to get somebody. I got connected to Budget Rooter and they came out almost right away. They found out that the line was cut by one of the wheels so they fixed the line and did a little bit of work on my refrigerator. It didn't cost me that much. Because they came right away they fixed it and they didn't charge me quite a lot and so I didn't have big problems. They did real good and they were really nice. They responded right away. They were not that expensive too and they did a good job. While he was here I asked him if he could fix the kitchen faucet and he did. I paid them $65 and they had to travel all the way here. I talked to them and asked what they charged to come here and he said he combined it all in the price.

+ -1 moreI was 3rd job of the afternoon -- previous job took longer than planned, but the office kept me posted during the delay (total of 1 hour). I had two tasks for him -- "Should I remove this valve in the crawl space entry?" and "Please fix my kitchen faucet!" Crawl space entry was a 30 second assessment (no charge) and we moved to the sink. When I bought the house, the kitchen faucet (Delta) was mounted backwards (!) -- which I changed myself, so the thing would at least turn on -- but I couldn't tighten the faucet down, and then something started leaking (gushing!) under the sink and I called the plumber. Plumber tightened the faucet and centered the thing, then took the faucet apart completely and rebuilt it with new parts, lubricating as he went. Then he found the burst line under the sink that was gushing water and put a new connecter in. Chatted with me while he worked -- old houses and drain lines, sump pumps, what to try myself on the toilet before I scheduled a plumber for it. He rounded down a hair on the time he spent with me, too!
Description of Work: Valve in crawl space entry assessed (it's a drain for the pipes in that section of the house) -- no charge. Rebuilt kitchen faucet from his Delta parts kit and lubricated everything (quick, sure, certain of which parts caused which glitch and how to make things better); fixed mounting and centered the rotating parts; replaced connector to garbage disposal (which had split due to the presence of a blueberry). Put everything back together and ran the water a while to make sure nothing decided to leak when he wasn't looking
