It went very well.  First they removed viruses and replaced a video card on the PC that they built for me in 2013.  Then when we discovered them in the PC again that the viruses was in our laptop and because we share a router they were going back and forth so the cleaned the laptop and then the PC again for no additional cost.  They are always open to discussing issues (as much as they can) over the phone, if only for information.

I took my 4 year old HP laptop to have it repaired. It was running hot and the battery didn't hold a charge. I was told the computer needed a new battery, a new power cord, and that some viruses had to be removed. They replaced the battery, the power cord and removed the viruses. I was told all the issues had been fixed and I would be happy with how the computer worked now. It cost a little over $200. The laptop worked fine for about a week, but then all the same issues returned--the computer ran hot, it shutdown suddenly with the and quot;blue screenand quot; showing up, telling me it shut down to and quot;protect the computerand quot;. I went in to Bits and PCs and told them that none of the problems had been solved and was told they could do nothing because the 7 day warranty had expired. 7 day warranty!? That is far too short. I felt as if Bits and PCs stole $200 from me. They took my money and did nothing for my computer. The man I talked to (his name started with a J) at Bits and PCs about my problem was rude and uncommunicative. I could tell he didn't care about my problem, and just wanted me to leave. I did. I am going to report Bits and PCs to the BBB. Please do not give them your business or there is a good chance you will regret it.

They did a good job but it took a lot of time.

I took my computer in and Tara worked on it immediately at the counter. When she plugged it in, my computer accepted my password. She then updated my AVG virus protection and repaired a noisy fan, and didn't charge me. I went home that day with a quieter, working computer.
I have tried other computer repair companies in Salem, but Bits and PCs is by far the most professional and competent, as well as the most affordable.
They're a great company to work with.

The overall experience was excellent. They were helpful. The price and quality were excellent. They were punctual and professional. I would use this provider again.
