the oven did not work after a self-cleaning. The technicians took the oven out of the wall, identified that a sensor had overheated and had failed. They made a factory recommended modification to move the sensor away from the heat source, and replaced the sensor. A self-cleaning test run proved that everything worked as it should. Great service and technicians.

I scheduled an appointment on a Thursday ... which was 21/2 weeks out. They called the night before to cancel and said they would reschedule on the weekend. So My appointment was made for that Saturday between 1-3. No one showed up and I received NO call! I left two messages and talked with the office girl on Monday who apologized over the moon. I told her I was very unhappy and would not use this company and asked to her let the person in charge know. On the following Saturday at 7:45 a.m. the gentleman from B&G called me and said he was coming out that morning. I told him how unhappy I was and that I had called someone else and had it fixed.
Description of Work: I needed to have my ice maker fixed or replaced.

Bought a new home. Dishwasher later had issues and was under special warranty from First American home buyers program. They scheduled B & G Appliance to fix the dishwasher. The man that came, who happens to be the owner, was friendly, courteous, knowledgeable, helpful, fast, and efficient. I would definitely recommend him to anyone. I was so impressed that I told him I would leave him a review online. I don't see myself using anyone else in the fuure. The deductible on a claim on the home buyer's warranty is $60 and so that's what I spent. However, I don't know how much he would have charged had it been not covered by our home buyers warranty.
Description of Work: Repaired my broken dishwasher. He did a great job.

My built-in over the stove microwave door was coming loose... Greg from Band G ascertained something had broken (frame and something else), and it was necessary to replace the entire door/glass, etc. He ordered the parts, which arrived very quickly, came back out and installed the new door. I'm not sure exactly how much the work was, but it was reasonable. This is an expensive top-of-the line appliance, and I was happy to have it fixed rather than replaced...

None of my appliances were under warranty any more. When I called to inquire whether Band G Appliance would be the best company for the work, I was told their repairperson has over 30 years experience, and they are authorized to perform warranty work for Frigedaire, Electrolux, Speedqueen, and have a contract to complete Home Warranty contracts through Assurant. They also perform private repairs on most major brand appliances (clothes washers and dryers, microwaves, dishwashers, stoves, refrigerators, etc.) outside of warranty work. The repairman arrived slightly late (he called to let me know). He was polite and neatly dressed, and got to work right away. He completely took the clothes dryer apart, inspected and cleaned it, and determined that the noise was from a penny stuck between the and quot;drum felt and the bulkheadand quot;. Done and fine! The next item he worked on was the dishwasher, which he quickly diagnosed as a and quot;float switch stuck in the up position, so no power got to the fill valveand quot;. He checked the machine over generally and, I think, cleaned some parts. Again, fixed (this time really quickly!) Third, he fixed the clothes washer (I was afraid this would be a really expensive repair, or even require a new washing machine...) He inspected and partly dismantled the washer and determined that I didn't need a new machine, or even an expensive repair or new tub, but that the and quot;spanner nut came looseand quot; and when he tightened that the machine worked perfectly. I believe this company saved me a lot of money on these repairs. I was thoroughly impressed by the honesty and diagnostic experience of the repairman.
Description of Work: I was having problems with my dishwasher (would heat up but no water), my clothes washer (the tub was flopping around and banging inside when on spin cycle), and my clothes dryer (worked but made a horrible noise). (I really do try to keep things up, but everything is about the same age and I guess it all just decided to have issues at the same time!) All three appliances were repaired in one trip, and no parts were necessary (I really thought this was great because, as a single woman, it's hard sometimes to know whether an estimate or repair is accurate or inflated.)
