Scheduling was smooth and they called and updated also, very professional. Jerime came out and was quick and professional. Did a excellent job of checking out various items and eliminating one by one and looked at the A/C unit and immediately saw the issue. Turned out to be a stuck fan and he was able to release it to get it spinning and also diagnosed to make sure everything else was going good. Issue was resolved and Jerime was very knowledgeable, polite and professional. Thumbs up.

I had originally contacted Aire Serve Heating & A/C through a deal I found on Angie's List (multi-point inspections of both furnace and a/c) for the lowest price I had seen. I had scheduled them to come between 2 - 4, but they called around 11:30 stating the serviceman, Douglas, could come by as soon as noon if I was ready. Douglas showed up and immediately got to work. He was polite and professional, explaining a lot of the processes with simple enough language that I was able to follow along and not feel like he was making stuff up. (I just purchased the house in December and had a full inspection of the furnace done then.....and that serviceman tried using a lot of mechanical jargon to confuse me and sound important. Additionally, he wrote up a quote that was over $1800 for just the furnace). I brought up a few of the points with Douglas and he stated that those items are known issues with this type of furnace and that it just needs to be monitored and cleaned yearly; there was no need for an expensive replacement. He even showed me what to look for. After the inspections and cleaning were completed, I agreed with Douglas to go ahead and replace the capacitors for the furnace and a/c units, and asked him if he would be able to crawl under the house and reconnect some duct work that was known to be separated. That was one house project that I was not comfortable doing. Douglas did a really quick job of it all. I can't say enough kind words about Douglas's work. He represented his company in a very professional and sound way. I would hire him back for any future work.
Description of Work: conducted a multi-point inspection of the furnace and a/c units, and replaced the capacitors of both and crawled under my house to reconnect an duct that had come apart.

This was a very large project which involved one house and a duplex. First let me say that everything went extremely well. From discussion the scope and price of the project to cleaning up afterwards and finally paying the bill - everything was perfect. First, all of this work was completed 2 and 1/4 days! Amazing! I am thrilled with the quality of the work and the products that I purchased. I love the Eccobee 3 Themostat. What I also appreciate is what they did not sell me. They were honest in the assessment of what I needed and what I did not need! Many folks working on our project, but the ones that I interacted with the most were Nat, Zac, Zack, Jeremy and of course Allie! Thank you all! I highly recommend this group of folks.

Jeremy was absolutely wonderful. He is friendly, knowledgeable, humble -- all the qualities you want in a service technician. Not only did he inspect the equipment, but even washed the outside condenser and removed some plant debris from the fins as well as removed the mold growing on the outside panels. And he was cheerful about it! This is our 3rd time with Aire Serv in Silverton and it won't be the last. Highly recommended. BTW. The dispatcher asked if I had an Angie's list coupon. I said that I had missed it (snooze you lose). So instead of the very good price of the coupon, they split the difference for a still good price when I mentioned that I checked Angie's list to see if they still had a high rating. They did!

The tech, Jerome, called within the agreed time slot to let me know he was on his way and to confirm it was a good time to arrive. When he arrived he asked me if I had any problems, concerns or questions. Tis allowed him to look at anything that may be a problem in addition to performing the tune ups of each unit. As he completed each unit he would give me an update and tell me what he checked and if he found any issues. He was thorough, told me what he did and what he found. I have had our units served by other companies and this is the first time I have been given such a thorough report on what was performed and what was found.

Tech did inspection of thermostat and furnace. Advised that it was in desperate need of repairs totalling $1300 (blown fuse, dirty blower, gas leak, water leak) and suggested replacement since it was 10 years old for $3200. Never had any issues before. Had problems fixed with a good cleaning and repair of bad ground wire at ac unit for less than $500. BEWARE OF THIS VENDOR - NOT HONEST.

Thanks for the review. I looked into your work order and saw what our technician was trying to fix. Looks like you had a lot more going on then just a ground wire. We use the same electronic leak detectors that Northwest Natural Gas uses and discovered your gas valve was leaking along with the collector box on your high efficient furnace. We could have done the job for less too if you requested it, but we always recommend to have everything done to get your equipment running perfect. Thanks for the review.

Phenomenal service! Our HVAC system stopped working so I searched for area dealers that sell Lennox products because we have been very happy with Lennox in the past. Dean came out right on time yesterday. He explained our options and we were impressed with his knowledge, passion, and customer-oriented attitude. We were surprised and thrilled to learn that the job could be done today. We could not be happier with Nathaniel, Zach, and Zach. All three of them were friendly, polite, and professional. They even upgraded some old, brittle PVC pipe from the furnace and moved our AC pad up to more level ground at no additional charge. And, when they were done, they actually cleaned our ducts at no extra charge. Then they explained how to operate our new iComfort thermostat from my cell phone or laptop. We could not be happier with Aire Serv and will highly recommend them to all our friends and family.

Our furnace went out over a Friday night. Called six places Saturday am and these guys were the only ones who could make it out. My husband was here during the consultation and installation (three days later). Had to write a check the day of the consultation. They were nice enough to leave some space heaters with us until the install could happen. Dean explained the entire process and options to my husband. He made a point of telling my husband that a certain blue wire needed to be hooked up to the thermostat or the thermostat would burn through batteries. I had questions so I called and spoke to Dean, who assured me that he's been doing furnaces for 20+ and he knows how to do it right. Said you run into problems when you get young guys who don't have the experience doing the install. So, three days later a totally different guy, very young, came to do the install. My husband said he seemed to know what he was doing. My husband mentioned the blue wire thing, and this guy said it didn't have to be hooked up. A few days after that we called them back out because the furnace seemed abnormally loud, indoors, and to hook up the blue wire. Two young guys came out - one went straight to the garage and opened up the furnace before I went out. When I came down I saw him tucking the blue wire back in the unit. They told me the wire had been hooked up all along and there was nothing else that needed to be done. Said the loud noise is how the newer furnaces sound...which is possible since our old furnace was 30 years old. So they left. Three weeks after install the batteries in the thermostat died. According to Dean, that's what happens when it isn't hooked up right. Over the last week and a half we've left messages for Dean/anyone and can't seem to get a response. We have to leave work/go in late to let these guys in and out. We would appreciate that if someone insinuates that they know what they're doing and it will be done right....that it actually gets done right. Overall I think they did a fine job. Just not happy that there seems to be a lack of communication between their sales guy/installers...and lack of response with us. Would hire them again...but hopefully won't need to.

They were schedule to arrive between 8:00 and 9:00 am. I received two calls from Aire that they would be late, then later. They finally arrived just before 11:00. They spent the morning in a training. I would rather they just rescheduled for 11:00 so I could leave the house prior to the appointment. Two men arrived, both very professional and had the job done in just over two hours.

This was my first referral/purchase experience with Angie's List. Aire Serv was rated very high with more total ratings by a wide margin over the other providers in my local area so it seemed like the obvious choice. In summary, I'm extremely satisfied with the entire experience and would highly recommend Aire Serv. We had an abrupt failure of our 20-year-old furnace resulting in inside temperature in my house dipping under 60 degrees. I read reviews on Angie's list and purchased a Diagnostic Service Call from Aire Serv on a Tuesday. The next day a representative visited to inspect the furnace. After his inspection I was shown exactly what caused the failure and was given an estimate to repair the furnace. After weighing the cost of repair against the option to replace the furnace I elected to replace the unit and we scheduled an appointment for the following Monday. The installers did a fantastic job. I was particularly impressed with their cleanliness and respect for our home during the process. I also appreciated that they did not try to oversell a more expensive unit than we really needed and they fully disclosed the cost upfront and did not change that price.

On Friday the furnace didn't start at the scheduled time. An hour and 18 minutes later it turned on so I called Aire Serv who had performed the last two services through Angie's List Big Deals. Dean came out right away and found a number of potential problems including water inside on the pan and a couple gas leads on a 10 year plus furnace. A replacement seemed the best option so on Saturday Jose and Poli came to do the job. They worked hard and efficiently. They were able to place the new furnace in with just a few modifications and it works very well. And they cleaned up after themselves. Thank you for a job well done!!!!!!

The Service Man was very prompt and professional. Explained all of the details of the service he was doing, and made recommendations as to what the homeowner could do for a better running economical heat and A/C system. Inspected the entire furnace area. Cleaned the system and inspected all of the components of said system. Made some adjustments for a more economical running of the system. We were very pleased with the Service person - in fact, the best we have ever had!

I called this company to come out the day before Christmas Eve. The technician arrived and the first thing he said, no hi or hello was "well what am I here for" in a really rude tone. I showed him upstairs and he immediately started talking about how the furnace could not be worked on. He then told me my house inspector didn't know anything in a condescending tone and slammed the door to head outside. He came in sent back upstairs and then came down with almost a smirk on. He said he didn't know how much longer we'd be in the house, but the whole thing needed to be overhauled. It was $950 in repairs but we really needed a new furnace. Oh also there was a gas leak. I hired a second company to come out today, for a second opinion. Well, there was NO gas leak, the furnace could be worked on and there was NO repairs. All that was wrong was a loose connection on the circuit board. Literally he plugged in a circuit and it was fixed. In the future the circuit board MIGHT need to be fixed, but that would be less than $300-400. I will NEVER use this company EVER again, avoid them like the plague. They are rude and will take advantage of you. My family went without heat over the holidays because Aire Serv are frauds! Please NEVER use them!

Thanks for the review. I looked over your work order and talked with the technician that came out to your home last week. He said upon his arrival you had possibly received some bad news because you were crying the whole time he was there with someone on the phone. He tried to be as positive as possible when he discovered, with his electronic leak detector (the same one Northwest Natural Gas uses) that you had a few spots leaking coming into your furnace, the inducer motor in your furnace is drawing more amps then it's rated for (telling us your bearings are going out), the gas valve does not shut off 100% letting gas leak into the burners even when your furnace is resting in the off position, the capacitor to your blower motor is rated at 5 microfareds, plus or minus 10%, and was down below the 10% maximum allowance to keep your blower motor running properly, and replacing your control board because it was not sending voltage to your controls. He recommended turning you furnace so it was easier to access it, like it should have been when it was installed. He saw that you were upset and just wanted a work order and to not discuss anything at this time. He offered to leave 4 to 5 space heaters, at no charge to help out because he did not want to leave the gas on with what he diagnosed, and you declined. He asked for your husband to please call him as soon as he could so he could go over his findings. He talked with your husband about everything he found and again offered to leave heaters since the whole sale house was closed and we couldn't get parts until Monday. His recommendations are to repair the furnace, unless you would like to look into a new one since the unit is 13 years old and you'd be spending half the cost of the new one already to get it working right. I don't see where our technician did anything wrong and we'd be happy to come out, with Northwest Natural Gas to show you where the leaks are located. Our quote was $950 to install a new control board, gas valve, fix the leaks in the gas line, new capacitor to the blower motor. Our technicians take pride in going through your whole system while were there, compared to most companies that come in, do the basic repair and leave, not letting you know that there are other things going on with your system that you should be aware of. We always look everything over and present you with our findings before doing any repairs. We are a very honest company and stand behind everything we do. I don't want to talk about the other companies out there that like to take your diagnosis charge, do the basic repair as fast as possible, and move on. leaving you not knowing that other repairs were needing to be made so your furnace won't break down later. Your welcome for our technician being thorough and I would look into doing the repairs he recommended. Thanks

My heater broke down which annoyed me that I just repaired last year by different company. It was not a good experience, it seemed that they did not know what they're doing, it took 3 trips to fix then also replaced the unnessary part. So this time, I called this company which my contractor friend recommend. Mr. McClure came out and looked and went thru system then knew the problem right away. It was a thermostat. He was very professional and knowledgeable. He fixed the problem checked everything, make sure that any other problems would not occur in future. Then the cost was so reasonable. I am very impressed about service and the cost. I would recommend to anybody.
