I bought a special off of Google's site called " Groupon" for this company. It was to get my furnace cleaned. I tried calling the office for nearly 2 months with no answer and no one retuning my messages! I had to finally leave a message stating I was going to call the google help number if someone didn't return my call soon. I assumed Advanced Heating & Air Conditioning had closed their doors to business. The next day I got a call from the owner named Todd. He told me how he was sorry and they were just so busy. I was told to deal with him personally. This made me feel a bit better. Todd also gave me a deal that for just 35 more dollars I could get my air conditioner cleaned. I agreed. He did the job and stated he could get me a permanent furnace filter, which I agreed to buy for $90. I also agreed to go into a deal with him in the spring for a new AC unit and furnace. When I realized that I bought a $90 filter for a furnace I was going to be replacing shortly I called Todd to cancel the very next morning. He told me he would refund my money. I waited. I called again and was told he was having problems with the Discover app. He would take care of the credit over the weekend. I waited some more. That never happened. Then he wouldn't even take my phonecalls anymore! After starting a dispute with Discover credit card, Todd is now trying to claim the money was rightfully paid to him since I signed the initial receipt for the furnace filter! Of course I signed it! I wanted the product when I signed it. He knows I canceled the order and he knows he agreed to pay me back. Todd is trying to keep $90 from me when he could have had a $4000 deal for the new AC and furnace. I mean...huh??? I cannot believe this whole thing. I am a single mom with chronic illness. I had no idea until this happened that if businesses do not give you your credit back it is just like stealing. We trust that they will return our credit, but if they don't it is on us to prove it is rightfully ours! Be careful folks. No matter what this guy says or offers you please do not trust him. 1/1/2015 UPDATE: I have found out that Mr. Steirs is not licenced! I know it says he is, but he is not. I called a local agency here in Salem called the Construction Contractors Board (phone number 503-934-2247) who already have tried to get him to get a licence as it is NOT legal to do what he does without one. Call for yourself. As for Discover, I won the dispute just today. Lies always come out in the end. It is sad to say though that it took me over 3 months to get my money back. I am a single, disabled mom who does have health issues along with my child. Thank God for the truth! I will call those peoples' number every time now to check licence numbers. Lesson learned. Sad though.

Wow! So in response to this terrible review from [Member name removed] I am just in disbelief. I do recall this customer and she had moved here from the east coast and said that I was very nice and one of the most informative contractors that she had met and that she would be contacting us after tax season to purchase a new system as I informed her that hers was getting old and tired. After reviewing our phone records through Grasshopper that tracks all calls whether they are incoming or outgoing we did miss one call from her when she first tried to contact us due to our office gal being out. We then got her call and scheduled her appointment 2 weeks later. NOT 2 MONTHS. As far as the filter goes, I sold her a lifetime 95% Electrostatic Filter that are special order due to allergies and asthma within the members of the household. These are special order but she called the following day after the sale and the order had not yet went in when I checked due to her stating that she would like to wait unless the new system was going to take the same filter. I didn’t think that it would so I told her that I used square to take her payment and would have to contact them to refund her and that if she did not see a credit within a week or 2 to contact us and we could either get her a check for the $99 or credit it towards her purchase of the new system after tax season. That is the last that we ever heard from her. I then got this review notification and am just blown away. I have taken the necessary steps and got a copy of my Square account and it shows that we credited back her Discover card $99 over 2 months ago. I also spoke with everyone in the office and nobody has taken a message or call from her. I personally have tried to contact her on her listed cell phone and have been unsuccessful. If we are ever in the wrong or responsible for something, we take care of it. She named me personally and stated that I am a liar and not to believe anything that I say. That is defamation of character and I am the owner of the company. I would and have tried to sort this out by contacting her to disguise this issue unsuccessfully. If you are reading this and thinking of using our company we hope that you will. If so, please mention this review or Angie’s List and receive a 10% discount on all service, maintenance, and repairs.
