A Clean Sweep Chimney Service

Went OK. Did a good job. Very neat work. Left no dust in the house.

Arrived when they said they would, very professional and left no mess.

He inspected the chimney and advised it didn't need cleaning just a good fire with dry wood to clear the cobwebs. Pointed out would need bricks on roof tuck pointed and sealed but we could wait a while. I took his advice and fireplace works great. Will definitely hire again.

Scott and his assistant arrived at the scheduled time. Both were friendly and professional. Scott has cleaned our chimney and fireplace in the past and we have been very pleased with the service he provided. We were especially impressed by how clean he kept the work area considering he was working with ashes and soot! This time Scott came and checked our chimney and informed us it was not yet in need of cleaning. Wow! Such integrity, and no charge for his visit! We will definitely contact Scott again next year.

We bought a house in Salem about 18 months ago. The fireplace was extremely clean, but we weren't comfortable having a fire until we had it inspected. We called A clean Chimney Sweep and set up an appointment based on their reviews. We could not have been happier with their service. They said the chimney didn't need cleaning but it looked like it had been a while since the last fire and told us how to proceed with the first fire to get rid of the cob webs. They also took a look at the furnace and checked our smoke detectors. Highly recommend!!

Hired Scott and his Nephew to install a woodstove. They came out right away and gave us a free detailed estimate. There was some work needed on the chimney on the roof. Scott gave us tips on how to do it ourselves. Ended up doing the work myself, Scott came by later double checked everything before continuing. Scheduled an appointment, they were on time,friendly, professional. And most importantly honest! I would hire these guys again in a heart beat.

See above. When contacted was polite. Admitted he had forgotten about his promise. Decided would rather not do the work than to live up to his promise. Disappointingly, not a trustworthy contractor.

It was a recommendation from a neighbor. As far as I can tell the guy that came did a good job. I didn't have him come out till September which was a very busy time for him but he was very accommodating and basically fit me in. Since I’m retired I’m like other people and not fancy about the scheduling because I'm typically home all day. He showed up and did a good job. I have a clay tile roof so we’ve got to me careful on how we walk on it because we can break them if we are not careful. He did everything he was supposed to do. His price was in the ballpark or it must have been like $10 more I paid the year before so it didn't give me much concern. One of my neighbors gave me his card and if I mentioned them I got a ten percent discount because of reference in her. She was happy with them so that was another factor of consideration. At that time he was working seven days a week and he still took me in. His punctuality was good, he showed up on time. As a matter of fact I'm going to give him a call shortly after my vacation.

The two people who were here were friendly yet professional. The lead person was very knowledgeable. I asked at the beginning for an estimated timeframe. They guesstimated about an hour. That was true to be. I WILL use this serve again. They were considerate of the home.

Their price was cheaper than the other places I called. They did what I expected. My experience was fine and they did a fine job. They not always showed up when they said they were going to or they showed up when I wasn't expecting them. I would use them again for chimney caps but I don't know if I would use them for sweep or not. He does duct cleaning and masonry type of work on the chimneys so I would call them again only for certain things.

Called this provider and actually spoke with he man. He said he would call right back and never did. Have since left 2 messages and no call back. This is really lousy service. Called another provider and they got right back to me.

I think they did a good job. Two guys showed up, one cleaned inside and the other got up on the roof. They were a half an hour late...the job before them went longer. They did notify us and call letting us know they were running late. We also had a really squeaky door that was oiled and fixed. Overall I think they were professional and did quality work. The only thing we noticed after they left was that when our fireplace insert heats up and then cools down, there is a thunk. Not sure what that noise is... I guess we should call!

Services were performed quickly without hassle. They were careful to keep everything clean. Pleasant to deal with. Would definitely hire again.

I had not had our chimney cleaned since we had moved in, and I was afraid it was going to be expensive. Scott came out and did the work, and it was a lot less expensive than I had thought it would be. He also gave me some helpful advice on maintaining my chimney, and the whole process was a lot less painful than I had thought, from the cost to the cleanup. I'll definitely call him back when it's time to have the chimney cleaned again.

This is a one-man business. I was one of several customers. So work on my chimneys was off and on, more off than on. Work began on August 5th; ended August 31st. I was holding off on having other work done, until this work was done. No complaints about the quality of the work, which was good.

He very honestly reported that it did not need any service

It was so long ago, but I'm sure it was just fine. I'm getting ready to get another clean. They came in and cleaned the chimney, then cleaned up after themselves. They did what they were supposed to. You couldn't even know they were here when they were done.

Prompt and complete. I've never had my chimneys cleaned before, but I think the price was good: $178 for two (2) fireplaces after the Angie's coupon. He also gave me some helpful info about some fireplace remodeling we're contemplating. All in all, I'm very pleased and will call A Clean Sweep for future service.

Scott called me at the end of his current cleaning to let me know he was coming. I was a bit late, but he waited for me and completed the work. It was comparable to cleaning done by other companies and he made sure to keep soot contained with drop cloths followed by thorough vacuuming. He checked and oiled the chimney cap. It was a good service.
