Duane was here within a week and provided a prompt and reasonable estimate on the work. He was professional and easy to talk with regarding vision for work and costs. The work was completed within two weeks, and looks beautiful. I plan on using his service in the future!

It took 3 phone calls to get anyone to call me back. They said they'd call to set up a next-day appointment but never called. They then called at 7:30 the next morning to see if they'd forgotten to write down the appointment. Employee they sent out was pleasant. It just was too much hassle to get to that point.

They were prompt, once we had our appointment set-up. They got the work done. They seemed to do a good job. The one thing that is not unusual is they do bill for travel time to the site. Either I missed that or it wasn't clear on the original information. Basically, half of the big deal got used up in travel time. Their actual work was fine.

This was a bigger job than we all originally thought. The boards on the chimney were rotten and well as a lot of the framing. They did an excellent job assessing what had to be done and moving forward with the project. Worked around the rain. We are very happy and would certainly have them back. Mike and his partner were knowledgeable, pleasant and easy to work with. It does take some time to go through the quoting process etc. so don't expect to start the next day.

9/24/2013 I called them just before noon with a list of things that I we needed to be done at a duplex that we own. They immediately sent a guy out to do the 2 hours of work. He was great at just going from project to project and crossing things off the list. You may want to note that they bill from the time they leave their building - so depending on how far you are from them you may not get as much time for the money as you think. For us this wasn't an issue. He gave lots of tips and tricks of ways that we could best go about doing certain things to save us money vs having them come back out to a second time to do some more simple fixes around the house that we discovered (for example: gutter downspout cleanout, caulking the tub). Although we decided that we're going to just have them come back out to take care of it. They bill for supplies used - in our case a box of screws and 1 board of lumber cost $11. Update - 10/3/2013 - So I never did have this company come back out. Not for my lack of trying. I asked them for a quote. I asked them to call me. The office lady said she would call me back. She didn't - I called them - she said "oh.. the guy hasn't come back into the office yet.. I'll call you tomorrow" - she didn't call - I called again and they said "oh.. he worked late last night and then came in late today .. and he left without dropping off your numbers".. eventually they did call me back with a kind of quote - but it wasn't very clear. If you only need them for one project - and you can book them without needing a quote - I say they will do well for you. If you need them to take any measurements and get back to you - know that it will take a lot of effort on your part or a long wait - don't expect them to meet their promises to get back to you right away.

Signed up for Angie's List Big Deal, "Two Hours of Handyman Services" for $79 on June 23, 2013. Work was performed and completed on Sept. 19. The repairman was scheduled for 8 a.m.; he arrived at 7:45. Work was completed in a little over an hour. Joshua worked quickly and professionally and overcame a couple of glitches related to the damaged door frame. The work appears sound and the door is secure. Overall, he left a credible and positive impression of his skills and the company he works for. If he was in business for himself, I'd call on him for future work in a heartbeat. Unfortunately, 3R Construction's scheduling system is not on a par with the work it performs. I had to call at least three times just to get on their schedule. There was never a call back. When they did finally give me a time--8 a.m. on Wednesday, Sept. 18, I cooled my heels waiting for them until 8:30. When no one showed, I called and was told they actually had me down for 8 a.m. on THURSDAY. I've used Angie's List to contract for tree cutting and land clearing projects in the past, both involved fees that were considerably larger. And, as with 3R's Construction, I was satisfied with the results. The prices were fair, and the people who came out and did the the actual work were skilled and professional. But, I never had to spend so much time on the phone or waste so much time pre-work as I've had to do on this small project. (And maybe that was the problem; a $79 job isn't going to rivet anyone's attention.) It's something to keep in mind.

We have been very pleased with the work, the professionalism of the staff and the responsiveness of the supervision of the whole project.

The provider was very responsive and had some excellent suggestions. I find that buying coupons is a great way of finding good companies. We have hired them for more projects.

Moss was removed from east roof of house (I had requested north roof & that was originally not done) & the wrong moss treatment was put on the roof. Told by Duane West that the containers were mislabeled by Lilly Miller. The entire east roof turned a rust color & Lilly Miller provided treatment to remedy the situation. I asked Duane West for written documentation including the name of the rep from Lilly Miller. Requested multiple times & have received nothing. Want assurance that my roof was not permanently damaged. Eventually the north roof was done (roof originally requested). The vapor barrier was installed under part of the house. The rest was supposedly inaccessible. I had a metal storage building that needed painting. The paint was put inside & 3R's put a lockbox on the door. It's been over 2 months & still has not been done. I've left numerous calls for Duane West & none have been returned (the last on September 4, 2013). I live over half time in Sunriver, Oregon, so was not there when the roof was incorrectly treated. That information came directly from Duane West. I am totally frustrated that the work has not been completed, no documentation has been sent concerning the roof, and my calls not returned. I sincerely did not want to write a negative review--instead wanted the situation resolved with the company. I finally had the sign of the company removed from my yard & the lockbox removed from the storage building.

I had several suggestions for the remodel and mentioned I wanted to keep the storage already in the bathroom. He said he would get back to us the next week. After 2.5 weeks, we called. Then he called back and brought over a very simple plan which took out the bathroom storage and took out part of our closet. It seemed like it was sort of quickly thrown together, with not much imagination. He said a "design" like this took hours and cost about $2000. We were very disappointed as I could have done this on my floor plan program free from Lowes.

Paul arrived at 9 a.m. and proceeded to work for the rest of the day, with a short break for lunch. He prepared the windows in an organized order so that he could finish prepping and caulking to be able to return to the first window to paint the sills, just as he did for second coats on those windows that needed it. No down time in this rotation style. The windows look fantastic. I appreciate the hard word he expended to get these windows done for me. Judi Tonks

3R's is my general contractor for a comprehensive interior and exterior home renovation, and I'm also having a separate outfit do home energy performance work in sealing-up the home. When we discussed work on our foundation/slab, Duane recommended getting the radon test, and provided a clear explanation of the type of remediation work that could follow should results indicate a problem. 3R's' approach is doing any work in an area all at once so we don't have to work an area multiple times - ultimately saving time, effort - and cost; They had the detector installed quickly, and in two days the readings were in. Fortunately, the levels were low, and no additional work was necessary. I appreciate their guidance and recommendation, and know that when we're done with work in an area, it truly will be done. Thank you 3R's!

started on time, finished faster than expected, cleaned up very nicely at the end of each day. Easy to contact for any questions or concerns. There was an issue with some of the " planks " being raised in the corners and due to my schedule, they couldn't be replaiced until several months later, but Duane was always responsive and his team good about staying in touch with me. i would hire this group for additional work in the future as I was very pleased.

We didn't picked them of on Angie's list but we saw them in the area, they had truck and I just got their name of the side of their truck. We checked on their reviews and I just thought that Angie's list would be a place to start. On the reviews their 15 is very satisfactory and they haven't start their work yet but it will start in the first or second week of August. The reason I choose them because their experience was mainly in remodeling that's all that they and that is what this job requires us. Just a remodeling and we're not building a new house. Their price was very good, the communication was excellent and we feel that we're in good hands.

My experience with 3R's Construction has been great. All the people doing work are as nice as they can be, as well as extremely professional. I'm very happy with the work done by 3R's, and I am in the process of having them do more. Duane is so conscientious. When he says he's going to do something-he does it, and fast ! Having an older home can come with issues. I feel Duane and his team is very equipped to handle these. He's already proven that, by having an electrician check out some safety issues that concerned him-at no charge.

I am very pleased that Duane has been willing to help me out in a desperate time of need. My grandmother who is 86 years old was taken advantage of by a contractor. I didn't know what to do so I called the first company that was listed in the Better Business Bureau. I wanted to investigate by asking contractors questions. One question that I asked is if I was accurate on the pricing of his bid and what is my next step and what are my options. He has tremendously gone out of his way to support me and guide me in the right direction. He has expressed his sympathy several times and has coached me on how to deal with this issue emotionally. Duane's secretary Tammy hand delivered flowers and a card to express their sympathy. She has been helpful when coordinating estimates on services needed. I have learned that I can trust Duane's opinion and suggestions. This company is a part of Healthy Homes of America and 3R's Construction can provide a huge spectrum of services. Each service that we have inquired about can be provided when needed. Duane has not done any work around my grandmother's house but I trust him that he can do the work properly and cost efficient. When I first called him, I told him what happened to my grandmother, and he offered to come out to the house and see what needs repaired. At the time, I was not aware of the pricing of bids so he helped by giving me what his cost would have been for the services provided. The price he quoted was over half cheaper than the original contractor. Duane has shared with me; people are weary of contractors because they have a bad reputation of taking advantage of people and not doing a good job. The contractor that remodeled the house adds to this poor reputation. So, I believe Duane adds strength to this reputation.

We are very pleased with the work that was done. They are very nice to work with.

Duane was punctual and polite, understood our project and had very good suggestions and was knowledgeable about materials and methods. He replied promptly with a bid via email. We did not choose him because his bid was more than we wanted to spend, but I believe it incorporated a more complicated plan than we had originally intended and we were looking for a something very simple.

?I can always trust 3R?s to professionally complete a job in a timely manner. They have always responded quickly, even during emergencies on weekends and holidays. Their CEO even fixed a broken pipe gushing in my front yard on Father?s Day!! I appreciate their honesty and ethics. I would recommend them in a heartbeat!!!? I have worked with discount Contractor's before and, you get what you pay for. Even though 3R's are not the cheapest guy on the block. I have always been satisfied with the value.

We have used 3Rs previously to remove and fix a large window/frame in our home that was leaking. We had no question in having them come back for a roof leak that created mold issues in one of our bedroom closets. Duane gave us a reasonable bid and lined up his men to come in and take care of the problem quickly and efficiently. They had to replace a section of our roof, cut out part of the drywall, treat the mold area, new insulation and replace the drywall, replaster and paint. We also had him retape, texture and paint another area in the house. His crew is very dependable and they do great work. We would definitely use 3Rs again!

I have checked them on Angie's List and I saw that they were highlighted. I do recommend them because they are very professional, they completed the work on time, they have a high quality of work and they are easy to work with.

They did an excellent job. We are very pleased with them. There was some designing that went into it and they came up with a beautiful deck rail for us. The overall experience was excellent. They were punctual, responsive, and professional. I would use this company again in the future.

Job was subcontracted to Victor Kostrikin, will submit separate report for Victor's work. Duane, the owner of 3 R's came out to our house within a couple days of my call. He was on time and took about 30 minutes to look at our window sils and a couple other concerns I had (roof on addition and chimney mortar). The chimney flashing was replaced by his company the prior year and the chimney had been leaking into the attic again. Since the flashing was the only thing originally requested to be replaced, he wasn't able to have it fixed without charging me so I opted to climb on the roof myself :-). He was very professional and answered all of my questions. He emailed me a detailed bid within a day which was nice. Included in the bid was the roof fix. He gave me 3 options, cheapest was $3245, the addition is about 200sf. The mortar patching on our chimney I felt was a little over priced, we have a 16in. chimney, to re-mortar the areas that were coming apart, they wanted around $400 but we do have a tile roof which makes it harder and more risky for the repairman so maybe that is why the cos was higher. The bid was very detailed in the description giving me pro's and con's of each which I thought was great. The other company I had received a bid on only sent me a 5 line email with an estimate of cost. Duane's bid was much more thorough. Even though the other contractor had several positive comments on Angie's List and 3 R's hadn't been listed at all yet (aside from their A+ BBB rating but can you trust the BBB these days after the whole scandal thing?), I decided to go wih 3 R's because they had better customer service; Duane answered all of my emails and questions throughout the whole process and believe me, I had a lot of them. I was extremely cautious because we had been burned very badly in the past by another contractor. Duane was patient with me throughout the length of the job and I really appreciate that. I think that given the small job we had, many contractors would have thrown their hands up and walked away but he didn't, he stuck with it threw the end. You really can't find that much anymore, that kind of commitment. It turns out that Victor didn't think the second window sil and frame needed to be replaced (appreciate the honesty Victor!) but the first window frame and sil had to be torn out due to leaking and dry rot which involved tearing off some siding and replacing the 2X4's underneath the window as well. The original price that was quoted still ended up being under.
